Intellectual rapism, you say~?
Given that I have a bad tendency to drift from place to place, dragging my writings behind me like a coffee shop draws pretentious hacks - that comment also applies to myself - and given that I have recently had my fiction labeled as 'Rape fiction' despite having no actual rape in any story I've written that I know of... Well, let's have at it.
I despise people who argue about things on the internet. It's the internet, can't you just agree to disagree and realize that your opinions is merely that, an opinion? To me, it's much more fun and enjoyable to troll in real life - the warm, enlivening feeling one gets when they see a friend or family member collapse in shock at some hitherto secret revealed? Priceless~
The pursuit of knowledge is absolutely wonderful. Knowledge and observation and stories around campfires are what make life worth living; to share such thoughts and watch them collide, rebound, and turn into truth - whether speculative blue or violent red - is more enjoyable a past time as any other.
But I am so immensely tired of people who do not appreciate such things - who can not speak words of praise, of hatred, of subjective anything; to comment is beyond them to think even more so. It is not their fault for it seems that the desire to think is beat out of us in every area, at least in my culture; it is preserved only through poetry and highly crystallized mania that is perhaps what gives me a reputation for melancholia.
... More than anything else, an alliance of magicians that I hold dear would most likely consist of those who enjoy picking apart the realities of others, but do so because - despite their demeanor, perhaps because of it - they want to help, to make things better. Or at least that is what I tell myself.
So, any other intellectual rapists out there? Do I recognize a Paru~?
