The first movie was my first nasuverse thing actually. I think this was like 3 or 4 years ago and Kuma told me to download it. I know he only did the character designs for it, but Texhnolyze is still my favourite of all the anime he's worked on so far. The ideas are a lot easier to understand than Lain, but it has so goddamn many of them running parallel to each other that it would take superhuman powers of observation to catch everything on your first watch of it. Especially pretty much anything to do with Yoshii, who is probably the most well-written character I've seen in anime.
