This is just a hunch, but based on how strong the stench is just from a few leaks in those two barrels, I imagine that the alcohol proof is high enough that it will sustain a fire.

Kavakri, Eflor, Alexi, Paik. Those four may act now, and I am skipping Kavakri and Eflor.

I'd like this question to be answered before I decide on any actions~ If there's a knowledge check we should make (if we need to make one at all I'd assume Streetwise), let me know that too.

You haven't even inspected the drinks, so unless you can tell by smell alone (I wouldn't be able to!) you wouldn't know.

The barrels in question contain wine of some unknown year, valued at absolutely worthless. Two barrels have holes in them which have leaked onto the floor, filling the wine cellar with the strong smell of, well, wine.

I don't even know when alcoholic drinks are flammable but I don't think beer and wine are particularly prone to lasting fires!
>> No. 2687 edit
>>2686
The above means that the barrels contain wine and if wine is flammable then sure, the barrels are entirely flammable but I know of science as much as I know about how to dress up as a gothic loli.

Let's see. It depends on the alcohol percentage of the wine. Nowadays wine is probably not flammable, because it's kinda soft, however alcohol beverages were much stronger before, I would believe wine in this kind of era should have at least 40% (which is a lot, for wine today standards.)
So, I would suggest to use a great amount of wine on the table, and try to start the fire from there, that along with all the rest of the wine on the floor should cause the fire to disperse.

That's about what I figured, though I didn't know about alcohol %s being higher in past eras. I did know that, despite the events of a certain OotS comic, soaking someone in sake would most likely not drastically increase their flammability.

I'll make an IC post after I get some more sleep~

>soaking someone in sake would most likely not drastically increase their flammability.
Well yes, but that's silly.
About the alcohol percentage, well I would be better if I could find a better source confirming this, but before people didn't care much about the problem of alcohol as now. For example, Absinthe for example, wasn't banned until 1915, or tequila, 300 years ago was usually about 80-60%, and now it's 40%-30%, but it's possible for this to not be true in wine.
>> No. 2691 edit
Apparently alcoholic beverage flammability is at 80% alcohol.

In modern times it's unusual for wines to be over 20% alcohol. I'm not sure this is a good plan after all.

Actually, that's not correct. Beverages with any % alcohol content will burn at sufficient temperature.
>> No. 2696 edit
If it helps, I have read than years ago it was normal to use wine to heal wounds, one would expect it to be a lot stronger than nowadays.
And if the info from that wikipedia it's true we can easily make the wine to cause flame if we burn the tables first.

I'm not certain of the rules for this kinda thing, but for ability checks I usually lower the DCs since you can't get nearly as many bonuses for those (notably you can't train them for the +5).

Not asking you to lower it, but the few times I've asked for ability checks in /limbo/ I basically used the chart-5~
>> No. 2700 edit
>>2699
Lowering by 5 means meeting the easy DC would happen on a roll of 2 for Paik, who has no str bonuses. I think that's a little ridiculous.

Anyway, I guess that's it for the scoundrel archetype character (as close to anti-Torinn as I was comfortable with).

Next /parlor/ character will probably either be stark raving mad, cowardly, or both.

The way I had it planned out was that the Prince was already dead since Tile had killed him earlier, and they just wanted the Elector dead because she resisted the coup d'etat.

What a coincidence. Wiseman used to be a dark'lock half-elf lich who sought power from various pacts and got too greedy. Taking powers from their sources and such did not sit well with his patrons, and when the warlock targeted his extraterrestrial patron, the being broke his mind. Not wanting all that power to go to waste, it/they then invaded the empty shell that was his body, with the goal of eating everything everywhere ever until there was nothing left.
