On the other side of the set of double-doors is what appears to be an arcane laboratory of some sorts--though it has been somewhat trashed. There are many compounds and filled vials set onto tables strewn about the room, and a large glowing pot that provides quite a bit of light.

A dark-skinned humanoid in robes and wielding staffs that pulsate with magic power stands directly before you, but not facing you--his attention is focused on the group of undead that appear to be attacking him. It would appear this figure is a revenant, and though his features suggest an elvish origin he has a prominent beard. He immediately sidesteps what appear to be blasts of pus that have been forcefully ejected at him by strange-looking mounds of undead flesh that are about four feet high and three feet wide. These abominations look to basically be animate blobs of undead skin and organs, which can skitter about on tiny insect-like legs that protrude from beneath the shifting pile of rotting tissue. The pus-like projectile they spit sizzles as it strikes the wall, appearing acidic in nature.

"Hey, that guy needs help!" Sid calls out, rushing forward and readying his hand crossbow. Noting that there is what appears to be the remains of one such creature here, as well as the remains of an undead goblin, Sid levels his crossbow at one of the offending pus spitters and fires, his enchanted bolt striking it solidly and tearing away a bit of the flesh from the top of the mound. As arcane energy snakes its way out from his crossbow and infuses itself into the weapons of Torinn, Sureiya, and Rutger's claws, another one of the undead abominations lobs some acidic pus at Sid, but manages to miss widely and hit the wall again instead.

There is one more notable creature in this room--a nine-foot tall skeletal humanoid wearing scale armor and wielding a black scimitar and a shield with a spider emblem. On its head sits a horned helmet, and its eyes burn with a white fire as it stares down the living creature assembled before it.

Pus Spitter 1 misses Ramuh with spit pus.
Pus Spitter 2 misses Ramuh with spit pus.
Sid moves and uses magic weapon, hitting pus spitter 2 for 14 damage. Torinn, Rutger, and Sureiya gain a +1 power bonus to attack rolls and a +4 power bonus to damage rolls until the end of his next turn. http://orokos.com/roll/201625
Pus Spitter 3 misses Sid with spit pus.
It's now Ramuh's turn.

Though Ramuh is aware of newcomers to the fight behind him, it strikes him that these need not be enemies. Allies, then. Just as well.

Ramuh calls upon the storm broiling within, and as his staff arcs with lightning raises it aloft. The storm discharges, sending a furious bolt of lightning streaking towards the bone warden from above!

Ramuh's lightning bolt strikes down at the warden from above, but it nimbly raises its shield and the lightning is deflected to the sides of the skeletal giant. It then shambles forward and braces itself, looking ready for a fight.

Bernkastel (Religion): Bernkastel has never seen undead like these creatures before, aside from the revenant, which she knows as souls raised and given new purpose by some death-related agency. Though Kelemvor himself is rarely said to be involved in such a transaction, he does permit the existence of revenants, because they are generally not attempting to cheat death or raised by individuals for selfish purposes--instead, a revenant usually seeks to fulfill a task that it was unable to pursue in life, or serves a higher and greater cause in general. Revenants generally do not possess clear memories of their past life, but have an instinctive and sometimes unconscious drive towards their purpose, even if its true nature remains mysterious even to the revenant itself.

Ramuh misses the bone warden with pinning bolt. Ramuh moves.
The bone warden moves and readies an action.

Myn wonders what onset of insanity had brought Sid to assume that either side of the conflict would be worth assisting, and moreover how he determined which to assist. The pervasive evils of magicism embedded in his mind must have concluded that the uglier side would be more deserving of death. Perhaps the larger creature has rebelled against the lich, utilizing the oozing creatures to combat the loyal revenant and escape, or this battle is staged to instill a false ally within the group for a later betrayal.

"Perhaps the paladin will put his bloodthirst to good use and kill them all."

Torinn is... Conflicted.

On the one hand, there is an undead creature right in front of him. And he's never heard of a helpful undead. They're always the cogs in the machine of an evil plot, attacking innocents and raising hell.

On the other hand, this particular undead is under attack from the others for whatever reason. Perhaps it defected? It wouldn't have been the first time he was wrong about generalizations.

This is too much to think about right now; Torinn will decide who is right from who is left.

Moral quandaries are not the best thing to have on one's mind during battle, however, and the paladin's valiant charge towards the bone warden is easily parried.

As Torinn bears down on the hulking skeleton, it fixes its gaze on the approaching dragonborn. Out from it in a cone-shaped pattern blasts a wave of dark energy, and Torinn feels its dark power focus inwards on him. Now bearing a vile, debilitating curse, Torinn is wide open for the warden's scimitar, which solidly smacks the dragonborn's armored shoulder, bruising the skin beneath and causing Torinn's own swipe to go wide. However, the radiant energy surrounding the blade manages to discharge and does cause the skeleton to rear back in apprehension. This does the bone warden little good, however, as the energy strikes it and seems to linger as it scorches the creature's ribcage.

Torinn charges the bone warden. When he moves within 2 squares of it, the bone warden takes its readied action.
The bone warden uses marked for death, placing the death mark on Torinn. Until the end of the encounter, Torinn treats his bloodied value as his maximum hit points value. However, he does not lose any hit points over this value immediately.
As part of this action, the warden also makes a basic attack with its scimitar. It hits Torinn for 27 damage, and Torinn is slowed. This doesn't stop Torinn's movement since he's mounted.
Torinn's basic attack with holy smite misses the bone warden for 14 radiant damage (increased from 9).

"It doesn't look like we can wait. Mr. N, pick a target near us, and not the revenant." With that, the shaman conjures air spirits to shuffle her allies around and one iron archon spirit to power Myn's attack.

Meanwhile, the shaman's spirit companion appears above a distnat spitter, beckoning for Sureiya to follow and pointing out his target.

Free action: Draw Chieftain's Short Spear.
Minor action: SC to J-23, elevation 1.
Move action: Reorient the Axis. Myn, Sid, and Sureiya can shift 5 squares each. Sureiya needs to move 5 squares closer to I-24, and Myn needs to move close enough to hit something with Eldritch Blast.
Standard action: Direct the Strike for Myn, since I was silly and asked Rin to dismiss SC.

The following calculations assume CA from SC

Shift and move to J-23 (Athetlics check: 20 http://orokos.com/roll/201820)
Lashing leaves with Furious Assault! (One hit, for 17 damage) http://orokos.com/roll/201821 http://orokos.com/roll/201822
Off-hand strike! (One hit, for 23 damage) http://orokos.com/roll/201825

"H-he's a revenant! I've heard of this, they're not bad guys!" Sid calls out, even as the shaman's air spirits urge him forward along with Sureiya and the warlock. The warlock is also incited by some spiritual assistance to aim a bolt at one of the undead blobs, but the shot goes wide and blasts the corner of the nearby table off instead.

As the half-orc lunges forward, the shaman's spirit companion forms over the nearby table. Sureiya easily hops onto the table, knocking several vials of arcane dust to shatter on the floor beneath him as he does so, and lays down a flurry of slashes that neatly hacks the undead blob to pieces. As it's being hacked apart, there is an explosion of acidic pus from within which Sureiya has to turn aside with one sword even as he draws his off-hand back to deliver another blow. The acid barely deters the ranger, and in less than two seconds the abomination is little more than a few scraps of undead flesh sitting in a pile of pus.

Bernkastel draws her spear.
Bernkastel summons her spirit companion and uses Reorient the Axis, Sureiya, Myn, and Sid shift.
She then uses direct the strike on Myn, but Myn's eldrtich blast misses.
Sureiya moves and hops on the table (thanks to a running start), then hits with lashing leaves for 21 damage, also causing the pus spitter to take 2 extra damage from attacks until the end of Sureiya's next turn. As an immediate reaction to being struck, the pus spitter uses a close burst 1 attack called pus splatter, which misses Sureiya for 5 acid damage.
Sureiya uses off-hand strike, which hits for 27 damage. This bloodies the pus spitter.
Sureiya spends an action point! Jaws of the wolf hits once for 46 damage and kills the pus spitter (the 2nd hit isn't necessary).

Myn moves to a corner before placing his curse on one of the blobs of undead flesh, then calls down a shimmering meteorite in the midst of his foes. Though the spitter manages to withstand the explosion, the warden is seared from the inside, radiance burning his skeletal frame. It is about this time you hear a commotion from the north side of the room, where the wall is broken through--and out slides one of the goblin zombies, scampering down the pile of rubble. With a chittering laugh it hurls a dagger at Ramuh, but the agile revenant knocks the knife out of the air with his staff. Growling, it lunges at the bearded sorcerer, but stumbles and misses with its swing. It manages to stumble into the middle of the artificer and the sorcerer, threatening both. The distant pus spitter spits another blob of pus, this time at the paladin, and Torinn is the first to feel it sink into his armor plating--it is highly corrosive and burns at his flesh.

Sid is quick enough to slip away from the goblin zombie, and aims his crossbow high. A bolt shoots into the air, and then explodes above Torinn, encasing his tiger in a swirling windstorm which knocks the lil' murderer right into Torinn's aura. A second later the gnome tosses one of his infusion canisters on the ground towards the paladin, and the vapor that it expels infuses Torinn with a bit of extra resilience. He'll need it, because the pus spitter that Myn cursed skitters up the nearby wall and again spits at Torinn. Sid tries to interrupt the attack with a charged bolt from his crossbow, but it goes wide and strikes the wall, so again Torinn is coated in the undead's corrosive spit. Seconds later, another of the goblin zombies emerges from the broken wall to the north. It repeats the attacks of the first murderer but doesn't have any more success.

Looking at the broken wall to the north, all you can see from your current vantage is a high pile of rubble that would block most passage, unless you could climb it.

Myn moves and curses spitter 3.
Myn uses blazing starfall, which misses the pus spitter but hits the bone warden for 15 radiant damage (increased from 10).
Lil' murderer 2 enters the battle. It uses killing spree, throwing a dagger at Ramuh but missing, then charging Ramuh with another dagger but missing again. It shifts 2 squares as part of its melee attack.
Pus spitter uses spit pus, which hits Torinn for 19 acid damage plus ongoing 5 acid damage (save ends).
Sid shifts, then uses gale-force infusion on Rutger. Rutger gains a +6 power bonus to AC until the end of Sid's next turn, and the attack hits the lil' murderer for 10 damage and slides it 2 squares, but misses the bone warden and pus spitter. http://orokos.com/roll/201976
Sid uses resistive formula on Torinn, Torinn gains a +1 power bonus to AC until the end of the encounter. Torinn can use a free action to end this effect and gain 28 temporary hit points.
Pus spitter 3 skitters up the wall and then uses spit pus, which hits Torinn for 16 acid damage plus ongoing 5 acid damage. Sid uses shocking feedback but misses. http://orokos.com/roll/201979
Lil' murderer 1 enters the battle. It uses killing spree, missing Ramuh with its thrown dagger and then missing again when it charges Ramuh with another dagger. It shifts 2 squares.

Ramuh darts away and calls down a bolt of lightning, which the goblin zombie nimbly dodges, grinning tauntingly at the revenant.

The hulking skeleton bears down on Torinn, and though the dragonborn manages to block one strike of its sword, another is a solid slash across his chest, and warden's shield nearly bowls the paladin over, with only his magic boots keeping him upright. As the acid continues to eat away, Torinn feels himself faltering... he'd better do something quick.

Ramuh shifts, then misses the lil' murderer with lightning strike.
Torinn gains the THP from resistive formula.
The bone warden uses double attack, hitting Torinn once with its scimitar for 20 damage.
As a minor action, the bone warden uses shield bash, which hits Torinn for 9 damage and would knock him prone, but he stands thanks to his boots.
Torinn takes ongoing 5 acid damage.

While Rutger manages to slash the incoming lil' murderer, Torinn's mind is poisoned with worry and doubt after being heavily injured. What should have been a sure hit with radiant power is easily deflected. What should have been a simple affliction to deal with continues to eat at his strength.

As the goblin is forced towards the tiger, it whirls and lunges with a claw, swiping through the zombie's midsection.

Torinn draws back his blade, and frost forms on the sword's edge as he brings it down in an arcing swipe towards the warden's skeletal neck. The icy shards burn with radiance, and though the skeleton blocks the strike with its shield, the glowing shards scatter and stick into the skeleton's joints, hindering it greatly. Torinn staggers, and the acid continues to eat away at his armor.

Rutger's raking claw hits lil' murderer 2 for 16 damage.
Torinn's chilling smite misses the bone warden for 16 cold damage, and the bone warden takes a -5 penalty to damage rolls until the end of its next turn.
Torinn fails his saving throw.

The half-orc disengages from the defeated blob of flesh, and picks out another for a target, throwing himself in its general direction and bringing his mainhand sword directly through the top of it, splitting off a big chunk of of the pus spitter. Sureiya moves, quarries a pus spitter, then charges and hits with marauder's rush for 25 damage.

Myn adjusts his position before adjusting his hands, holding both forward and grasping his rods carefully between his fingers as he summons forth a thick beam of radiant energy, which strikes the wounded goblin zombie with a blinding flash. As the energy subsides, it forms a shimmering crown over his head. The shaman also moves forward, her spirit companion moving to distract the wounded zombie, and calls the spirits to grant Torinn aid--they do so, but are limited in what they can do to bolster him by the death warden's curse. She then calls a spirit guide for Myn, and his signature eldritch blast scores a shoulder hit on the unwounded, but now cursed, murderer.

The blinded goblin zombie lashes out, stabbing upwards towards Torinn, but can't find the dragonborn through the haze clouding his vision. Skittering away, it is blasted by Torinn's radiance before it looses a dagger from its hand, which sails right past the paladin. The pus spitter scrambles away from Sureiya before blasting him in the face with a blob of acidic pus, though Sureiya manages to avoid a critical wound by partially parrying it with his sword, he is still coated by the acid, which he feels burning through his armor. Sid quickly tosses a canister onto the ground, and as Torinn breathes in the vapors he feels somewhat revitalized, and the gnome follows by shifting away from the goblin and plugging the wounded one with an enchanted bolt, which energizes both Torinn and his mount with its magical backlash. Another pus spitter lobs some pus at Torinn but misses spectacularly. The other goblin zombie charges into the party's back ranks, but utterly fails to land a hit on the shaman.

Myn moves, then uses armor of dark majesty to place a curse on murderer 2. He uses crown of stars, which hits the lil' murderer 2 for 26 radiant damage (boosted from 21), which bloodies and blinds it. Myn spreads his curse with rod of corruption.
Bern moves and moves her spirit companion. Bernkastel's inspiring word lets Torinn spend a healing surge and regain 37 hit points.
Bernkastel uses direct the strike, Myn's eldrtich blast hits the lil' murderer 1 for 18 damage.
Lil' murderer 2 uses killing spree, recharged when it was first bloodied, missing Torinn because it's blinded, then shifting and taking 16 radiant damage (up from 11) from Torinn's righteous radiance. It misses Torinn with its ranged dagger.
Pus spitter 2 shifts 1 square, then hits Sureiya with spit pus for 15 acid damage plus ongoing 5 acid damage (save ends).
Sid shifts 1 square. Sid uses magic weapon against lil' murderer 2, which hits for 15 damage. Torinn and Rutger get a +1 power bonus to attack rolls and +4 power bonus to damage rolls until the end of Sid's next turn. Sid uses resistive formula on Torinn.
Pus spitter 3 misses Torinn with spit pus
Lil' murderer 1 moves and misses Bernkastel with a melee dagger.

Ramuh tires of the pus spitting around, which is rather rude. He sends a crackling bolt of lightning at it, directing some of the lightning at the bloodied zombie nearby. Ramuh then decides to take up a better position; near the small Gnome that had professed him 'not dangerous'. Honestly, Ramuh disagreed, but he wasn't a threat to these people at least.

Ramuh calls down more lightning, this time solidly striking one of the pus spitters--the mass of undead flesh looks quite wounded by the blow, and is barely holding itself together. The crackling bolt arcs from one pus spitter, and though it lessens in power as it does so, it still strikes the other undead blob and elicits a jiggle from its pulsing flesh.

The bone warden bears down on the paladin, first pushing him to the ground with his shield and then raising his sword. Towering over the hapless Torinn, two sword strikes slash into the prone paladin, though their effect is lessened by the lingering effects of Torinn's earlier smite. Torinn feels the extra resilience Sid provided enabling him to shrug off the blows even as the acid continues to eat away at his flesh.

Ramuh uses lightning strike, which hits pus spitter 2 for 17 damage. Pus spitter 3 takes 5 lightning damage. Spitter 2 is bloodied, this increases Myn's aura.
Ramuh moves.
The bone warden shield bashes Torinn, hitting for 0 damage (reduced from 4) and knocking him prone. The bone warden uses double attack, hitting twice for 10 damage (reduced from 15) and 12 damage (reduced from 17). Torinn is slowed until the end of the warden's next turn.
Torinn takes ongoing 5 acid damage.

Though the spirit's helpful warning isn't enough to aid Torinn in dodging the shield, his counter-strike is a solid hit through the skeleton's ribcage, and his magic sword's holy light burns the warden from the inside-out. The dragonborn climbs back to his feet and charges his blade once more with holy light, though this time the hulking skeleton is ready for him and blocks the blow with his shield, though the radiant energy still discharges in a flash and sears the bone warden a bit more.

Torinn's powerful warning-granted melee basic attack hits for 21 radiant damage (up from 16).
Torinn stands and uses valiant strike plus holy smite, which misses for 14 radiant damage (up from 9).

Though the half-orc fails to shake off the burning acid, his twin blades strike away much of the undead blob's remaining flesh, and it seems to barely hold together as it quivers underneath his wrath. The warlock unleashes a torrent of psychic energy briefly, which confuses the murderer long enough for both him and the shaman to slip away. The warlock punctuates this with a blast from his radiant crown, which staggers the heavily wounded goblin zombie, and an iron-archon infused sorcerer attack finishes it off with a blast of frost.

"Bernkastel" then calls forth her elemental spirit once more as the nearly-dead pus spitter attempts to skitter away from Sureiya, but the half-orc gives a final slice that splits it in half. Sid moves closer to the ranged ranks and attempts to shoot the wall-climbing pus spitter with his crossbow, but it just barely deflects the bolt with a well-timed jiggle of its fleshy body. It retaliates by throwing a blob of pus at Ramuh, but it is ill-aimed and the revenant doesn't even need to move out of the way. The remaining goblin zombie throws a dagger at Myn, but it also goes wild due to Myn's shifting image and his magic armor granting him extra protection against his cursed targets.

Sureiya takes ongoing 5 acid damage.
Sureiya hits twice with twin strike for 10 damage and 17 damage. He fails his save.
Myn hits murderer 1 with all the sand, all the stars for 18 psychic damage. The murderer is dazed until the end of his next turn.
Myn sustains crown of stars using his sustaining cloak, hitting the murderer 2 for 23 radiant damage (up from 18).
Bernkastel uses direct the strike, and Ramuh's dragonfrost hits the murderer 2 for 22 cold damage and kills it.
Bernkastel moves and summons her elemental spirit.
Pus spitter 2 shifts, and Sureiya kills it with a battle awareness-granted melee basic attack for 21 damage. http://orokos.com/roll/203074

As the lil' murderer expires, Ramuh grips hold of some of the necrotic energy used to revive it. When he raises his staff aloft to make more lightning and thunder come down, he infuses it with a little of that necrotic energy before moving. The elder revenant interposes himself between the dazzled murderer and the group of new-found allies, trusting in his ability to continue turning the enemy attacks to naught.

Free action on lil murderer dying: Dark Reaping, when I hit with an attack before end of next turn I can apply 1d8+Cha mod necrotic extra damage to a creature that I hit.

Move to O-14.

Standard Action: Thunder bomb on the Lil' Murderer, centred on him: on a hit, the murderer is immobilised.
Attack/Damage roll (includes dark reaping): http://orokos.com/roll/203099 (16 vs Fort)
On a miss obviously I can't apply dark reaping's damage and it expires at the end of my turn. Shit sux.

Interrupt: If I get hit, I'll immediately use Dragon Scales to block the damage if possible.

Ramuh glides north before lobbing a ball of thunderous energy towards the goblin zombie. Though it is still quite dazed and out of sorts, it manages to roll aside and dodge the explosion of electricity. The bone warden tries its signature pattern of attacks again, and again its effective--Torinn is sent to the ground by a bash from the towering skeleton's shield, and though he rolls to the side and dodges the first slash from the scimitar, the second catches him in the side, and he's not looking too good right now, especially with that acid still eating away at his flesh.

Ramuh moves and misses the lil' murderer with thunder bomb.
The bone warden hits Torinn with shield bash for 3 damage and knocks him prone. It then uses double attack, hitting one for 17 damage and Torinn is slowed until the end of its next turn.
Torinn takes ongoing 5 acid damage.

Not even the guidance of the spirits or the fury boiling in his blood is enough for Torinn to land a hit against the warden. Furious at the constant deflection of his attacks, he spits lightning at the distant spitter, then parries the attack the warden tries to hit him with. It still hurts him deeply, and acid still eats at his skin, but Torinn stands defiant.

"Come on, then!"

Torinn's furious strike is just barely turned aside by the bone warden's scimitar, and as the dragonborn turns to unleash a torrent of lightning from his maw, the bone warden punishes him with a vicious counter-strike. While mostly deflected by the dragonborn's plate armor, the strike is charged with necrotic energy, which saps most of Torinn's remaining strength. The pus spitter is shocked by the lightning, however, and subject to Torinn's sanction. Meanwhile, the acid continues to eat away at the two melee members of the party...

Torinn's valiant strike misses the bone warden.
Torinn uses dragon breath on the pus spitter, but since the attack doesn't include the bone warden as a target, it interrupts with warden's fury, which misses for 11 necrotic damage. Torinn hits for 2 lightning damage and the pus spitter is sanctioned until the end of Torinn's next turn.
Torinn fails his save. Sureiya takes ongoing 5 acid damage.

Sureiya moves and uses ranged twin strike, hitting twice for 13 damage and 8 damage.

The warlock confronts the remaining goblin zombie directly, though blasting it with his starry crown doesn't work out too well. He settles for a blast of psychic agony, which leaves the murderer reeling and coming apart at the seams--literally, as is often the case when dealing with undead.

Myn moves and misses lil' murderer 1 when he sustains crown of stars.
Myn's shared agony hits lil' murderer 1 for 26 psychic damage. This bloodies it and increases darkspiral aura.

The shaman calls upon her spirit companion to attempt to heal Sureiya, but the lingering acid continues to confound all efforts to remove it. Resummoning her companion, she forcefully infuses it into Torinn, hardening his armor and skin in order to protect him against damage temporarily. Sid shakes his head and yells, "I'm all outta infusions! I'll get the goblin!" Positioning himself between the revenant and the warlock, the gnome fires another enchanted bolt from his crossbow, and this one finds its mark, right in the zombie's forehead. The lil' murderer staggers briefly, and the magical backlash from the attack enhances the weaponry and implements of both Myn and Ramuh.

The pus spitter oozes slowly along the wall before hurling a blob of pus at the shaman, who finds herself coated in the acidic gunk--the ranger attempted to intervene with a thrown blade, but the pus spitter lurched in such a way to make the projectile rebound off the wall instead while firing the bolt of pus. The lil' murdere is nearly dead, but not quite, and it misses the warlock with a wild swing before leaping backwards and hurling a dagger that strikes Myn solidly in the shoulder--though it appears to be a shallow cut that bounces off the shoulder bone. Taking advantage of its unholy speed, the smaller zombie puts some distance between itself and the group.

Bernkastel uses spirit's sacrifice, granting Sureiya a saving throw. It disappears.
Bernkastel uses call spirit companion to resummon it, and Torinn gains 4 temporary hit points.
Bernkastel uses granite armor, which misses the bone warden, but Torinn gets resist 7 to all damage until the end of her next turn.
Sid moves. Sid uses magic weapon, which hits the lil' murderer for 15 damage. Myn and Ramuh gain a +1 power bonus to attack rolls and +4 power bonus to damage rolls until the end of Sid's next turn. http://orokos.com/roll/203396
Pus spitter 3 spider-climbs along the wall, then uses spit pus, hitting Bernkastel for 13 acid damage and ongoing 5 acid damage (save ends). Sureiya misses with disruptive strike. The pus spitter takes 16 radiant damage from Torinn's sanction, which bloodies it and increases Myn's darkspiral count.
Lil' murderer 1 uses killing spree, missing Myn with its melee dagger, then shifting 2 squares and using its ranged dagger, which hits for 18 damage. The lil' murderer then moves.

Ramuh throws some more lightning around. While it is quite pretty, unfortunately, it does not strike any enemies. The bone warden bowls Torinn over again with his shield, but this time the pair of scimitar strikes are both deflected with the aid of the nearby primal spirit. Thankfully, Torinn's hardened skin prevents him from suffering any further injury from the acid as well.

Ramuh misses with dancing lightning.
Bone warden hits Torinn with shield bash for 6 damage and knocks him prone. Torinn resists the damage.
The bone warden uses double attack, which nearly hits but misses because of the +1 defense bonus from being near the elemental spirit.

Good, no escapees.

As Myn finishes off the zombie, the elemental spirit nods to the shaman, to which she responds by announcing the next target.
"That's good enough. We must destroy that warden right now."

Accompanied by a sudden gust of wind, the taller spirit slashes at the target, before disappearing just as quickly.

Torinn should have 4 THP.

Standard action: Spirit of Athas attack, and it is dismissed. http://invisiblecastle.com/roller/view/4551405/
No action: Heroic Effort to make it hit. Bone Warden now has -2 to attack and defenses until EoNT.
Minor action: SC next to Myn. 4 THP for him.
- Action Point - Standard action: Spirit Infusion for Myn. He makes the RBA, hopefully against the warden, with a +2 power bonus to attack and a +5 power bonus to damage, both 1 higher than Sid's.
Minor action: SC to S-17, elevation 1.

Sureiya throws his blade twice and manages to score one hit. Meanwhile, Myn siphons a bit of the pain Sureiya felt from his wounds into life-energy to revitalize himself, and he then uses a spiteful glare charged with radiant energy to sear the retreating goblin zombie. It falters, just enough such that Myn's crown of radiance misses it with the beam it projects. Adjusting, Myn pulls out an extra bit of action in order to turn another glare towards the zombie, and it finally collapses, burning with sacred power.

Though the shaman feels the acid eating into her flesh, she commands her spirits admirably, resummoning her companion as the elemental spirit explodes into energy as it slashes at the bone warden. The column of wind that engulfs the warden briefly throws it off-balance and vulnerable, and the spirit companion infuses itself into the warlock, who blasts the now-weakened warden with an eldrtich beam. This shears off a bit of the warden's ribcage, and it looks quite damaged now--having been worn down by Torinn's radiance before. However, the wall-climbing pus spitter is still there, and lobs a massive blob of pus that completely envelops the half-orc and leaves his flesh raw and burning. Panicking, Sid fires his crossbow at the hulking skeleton but misses wildly.

Sureiya uses twin strike (ranged), missing the pus spitter once and hitting it once for 16 damage.
Myn uses life siphon to regain some hit points. I'm also adding some extra hit points to represent the THP he would've gained earlier from using his magic armor but lost.
Myn uses spiteful glamor, which hits lil' murderer 1 for 25 damage (up from 20).
Myn sustains crown of stars but misses with the attack.
Myn spends an action point! Myn uses spiteful glamor and hits for 24 damage (up from 19), which destroys the lil' murderer. This increases Myn's darkspiral count.
Bernkastel takes ongoing 5 acid damage.
Bernkastel uses spirit of athas's attack, using heroic effort to make it hit the bone warden. It deals 13 damage and the bone warden takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls and all defenses until the end of its next turn.
Bernkastel uses call spirit, and Myn gains 4 temporary hit points.
Bernkastel spends an action point! Bernkastel uses spirit infusion, which allows Myn to use eldritch blast, which hits for 36 damage. http://orokos.com/roll/203595

As the revenant calls down lightning, this time there is a crack of thunder that shakes the walls of the chamber as an enormous burst of electricity descends upon the bone warden and scorches its skeletal frame--Torinn shields himself to avoid being caught in the massive blast. Stray bolts arc all around the room, but miraculously none strike Ramuh's new allies, though one does strike the pus spitter and blast off another portion of the blob's flesh. The bone warden staggers backwards from the force of the lightning strike, and a great wind whips up around Ramuh and carries him to the southern end of he room.

Clearly in a daze, the hulking skeleton moves back to confront its marked target once more, first striking with his shield, though this time Torinn blocks with his own shield and refuses to budge. It then hacks twice with its sword, but both blows are deftly parried by the paladin. With a sudden burst of energy, it strikes two more times, but Torinn is not overwhelmed and manages to avoid these slashes as well.

All things considered, Torinn's not in too bad of shape.

Ramuh CRITS the bone warden with lightning strike for 35 lightning damage. The pus spitter takes 5 lightning damage.
Ramuh pushes the bone warden 1 square and flies.
The bone warden moves 1 square. The bone warden misses Torinn with shield bash.
The bone warden uses double attack, but both scimitar attacks miss, once only because of the defensive bonus from second wind. It spends an action point! It uses double attack again and misses twice again.

Torinn hops back on his mount, then charges his blade with divine energy before slashing a horizontal cut that knocks aside the warden's shield. The holy energy discharges from his blade as he does so, and sears the skeletal giant directly through its ribcage. Even as this happens, Sureiya lunges back into the fray and hacks at its exposed backbones, cutting big chunks out of its legs and spine. Sureiya shrugs off the acid that continues to eat away at him temporarily, though it still clings to his hide armor.

Myn casts a spiteful glare in the warden's direction, and upon seeing no reaction, blasts it with a radiant beam that originates from the crown that remains shimmering atop his head. The warden staggers, and braces itself with its scimitar, but holds itself together--though probably not for long.

Torinn mounts Rutger and uses valiant strike, which hits for 17 radiant damage.
Sureiya takes ongoing 5 acid damage. Sureiya moves and uses twin strike, hitting twice for a total of 26 damage. It takes a -2 penalty to attack rolls against Sureiya.
Myn misses with spiteful glamour. He sustains crown of stars and hits for 26 radiant damage.

The shaman, annoyed that the warden hasn't fallen yet, strides right past it, daring it to attack her. The skeleton doesn't take the bait, however, and the spirit companion drifts upwards briefly before unleashing a powerful, psychic lure, draining the last of the energy keeping the bone warden moving. As it collapses into a heap of bones and weaponry, dark whispers echo from its fallen form and fill Myn with more eldritch power.

The pus spitter, however, is unaffected by the lure. Sid quickly hops into the unmoving stack of bones and draws his crossbow, which is now ablaze with fiery energy. "Burn!" he calls out, his bolt flying true and sticking firmly into the undead mound. As his crossbow recoils, flames leap from it and dance briefly around Torinn, Sureiya, and the big cat before sticking to their weapons and claws, granting some additional firepower. Sid then brandishes an alchemical smelling salt, and throws it over to Sureiya--the odor is pungent, but the acid sticking to his armor solidifies on contact with the vapor and falls off as a fine powder.

The pus spitter hurls a blob of acidic pus in Sureiya's general direction, but its utter lack of accuracy seems to indicate that the fight has gone out of it. It skitters across the wall away from the spirit companion.

Bernakstel moves and moves her spirit. The warden does not take an OA.
Bernkastel's emerald lure misses the pus spitter but hits the bone warden for 15 psychic damage, destroying it.

Sid moves. Sid uses burning weapons, which hits the pus spitter for 11 damage. Sureiya, Rutger, and Torinn gain the effect of burning weapons, which is 4 extra fire damage on fire and weapon attacks.

"Our host, a lich, is well aware of our visit and it's waiting for us right now."

"The leyline... is it?" Ramuh rubs his beard in contemplation, then chuckles.

"Ah, I believe I had caught wind of something in that direction; Baldur's Gate employed a fellowship of adventurers to assist in journeying to the leylines. Your exploits are known, though I had not known you numbered but four. An auspicious number."

Ramuh nods slowly. "Yes, yes, I can count you among my allies then. I am Ramuh, agent of Luruar. My party and I were tasked with exploring these caverns for other routes from which to enter the Shadowfell."

Torinn dismounts from his loyal tiger and walks up to the figure identifying themselves as Ramuh, sword not yet sheathed. He scrutinizes the fellow, the dragonborn bearing an odd smile, before sheathing his weapon and taking the revenant's hand in both of his claws. With a firm handshake and a slight chuckle, he replies, "And my sincerest gratitude for your timely intervention on my own behalf, Ramuh." Releasing the revenant from his greeting, Torinn speaks again to introduce himself. "I am Torinn Tormine, and I would see you well."

The gnome nods in a satisfactory manner at the battlefield, then turns to face the revenant. "Sid Silversprocket of the Arcanimus, at your service! It would seem that our goals are aligned, yes?"

As "Bernkastel" and the ranger turn to exploring the room, they find that it was very clearly an arcane laboratory at some point. Gathering up the various vials and compounds that are not spilled or otherwise compromised throughout the room totals to 329 gp worth of arcana reagents. Much of the equipment is broken, though the brilliant lamp-like device in the north-center of the room seems to remain functional. In the northwest the wall is broken through, revealing a pile of rubble beyond which leads upward to a hole that's quite small (small enough for a small creature to need to squeeze to pass through). A curving stairway on the east side of the room leads downwards for at least 15 feet, at which point the light cuts off your view.

Sid looks interested in the reagents, and looks to the paladin, and makes an offer: "Hey, you're having some issues staying on your friend there! If you want, I could try to whip up something to help with that, if you think we have the time. I could take about a half-hour and fix something new!"

Ramuh nods. "Torinn Tormine, Bernkastel, Sureiya and Sid. I shall remember those names."

As the party's discussing their decision to stay or move, Ramuh decides not to interfere just yet; he's not so fond of travelling alone, but less fond of a faux pas!

Sid has already begun preparing the components and Rutger's saddle for what would appear to be a lengthy enchanting process, and waves dismissively at the shaman's concerns, saying, "It could take hours to traverse these tunnels and reach our destination. The lich would expect us to break now and then, if he's keeping his word--and if he's not, we're walking directly into a trap anyway, and I'm in no hurry in that case!"

Having placed the saddle and some reagents on a magic circle conveniently located on one of the laboratory tables, Sid holds his hands over it and mutter something briefly, and it begins to glow. He then reaches for what appears to be some arcane tools and begins to work. Though he will stop if there are strong objections to the matter.

"If you're sure. I hope you're right."

Lunch break, I guess. The shaman takes out the picnic basket for anyone interested, and begins preparing more healing for the party.

Another Healing Spirit for Sureiya, healing Torinn with the extra. After Sid triggers Battle Standard of Healing two more times, everyone but Torinn should be at max HP, and since he would still be at 70/76, I don't think he needs to spend a surge. Work shown in skypecats, but pasting here with the error corrections.

>>75257
Healing Spirit heals everyone for 3, Sureiya for 18+3+2 more, and Torinn for 11 more. Myn 62, Ramuh 62, Bern 52, Torinn 52, Sureiya 42, Sid 62.

Then a Healing Spirit on Sureiya heals everyone for 3, Sureiya for 18+3+2 more, and Torinn for 9 more. So we're at Myn 65, Ramuh 62, Bern 55, Torinn 64, Sureiya 66, Sid 65.

After that, Sid's infusion recharges spend 2 surges, healing everyone for 6. Everyone is capped except Torinn, who remains at 70/76.

I don't know who wants to donate these 2 surges, but here are the surges remaining before people offer 2.
Myn: 4
Ramuh: 3
Bern: 5
Torinn: 5
Sureiya: 4
Sid: 5

Rutger heals for 12 total, which is more than enough too.

"I'm worried about Elayne too, but we don't know if she's really still alive" says Sureiya, genuinely concerned.
"Let's take a rest here and then haste our way once Sid is over."

Saying this, the ranger ponders about Myn's words. "You better not be a spy" he says to Ramuh. "Generally I don't like slashing sentient creatures, but I could make an exception" the ranger adds, but he doesn't sound either serious or menacing. Then he grabs whatever the shaman prepared and gives it a good bite.

"If it's a spy you fear, you needn't worry," the eladrin responds. "I shall have a short rest, and then resume my search for my allies." Ramuh considers for a moment. These people are short-lived, and their plans are built with weeks, at best years in mind: likely, they could not grasp what it would be like to think and plan in centuries.

So thinking, the eladrin decides not to take offence at the ranger's words.

"I'm not particularly worried" explains Sureiya, "but we recently had a bad experience after trusting too early a guy that joined us."

Still eating, the ranger ponders a little and then adds "You're strong, I'd prefer you to stay."

The party rests while Sid continues the ritual, pausing briefly to catch a breather himself and restore his infusions. At the end of the creation process, there is a startling spark and the saddle glows with an even more powerful magic.

"Whew... innovation is tiring, but I'll be fine to face the lich!" Sid remarks, handing the saddle to Torinn. "I can't say anything cliche, like, 'my finest work,' but you can bet your whiskers it's a darned good saddle!" Torinn notices that Sid has changed the very design of the saddle--it now includes a leather-bound harness that can be used to secure him onto his mount. Which is strange, as you didn't notice the gnome doing any leatherworking.

You take a few short rests as Bernkastel outlined. The custom items document has been updated, Torinn now has a level 3 secured saddle.

Torinn affixes the new saddle to his mount. He's about to test it out before the spirit points out the food assortment left behind.
