I should have played that game totally different, really, there were no AI anywhere near me, I should have gone into major expansion mode and settled my whole half of the continent~ The tall empire thing worked well enough (my cities were REALLY powerful by the end), but it was the wrong call for my setup I think~

If one of the AI had been near me I think that would have been better, I would've conquered their land and set up all their cities as puppets, which would've supplemented my cities with extra gold and science nicely~ My 5th city was actually a puppet city too, one that Germany settled ON the aluminum near me that I was planning to use a Great General to get, so I decided to puppet his city to get the aluminum instead (Washington also settled a city near me very late, I used a Great General to steal the 10 aluminum stack near his city)~

I had tons of happiness near the end, I never even built a theater but I had over 50 happiness at one point in the midgame, so I definitely could have supported a decent adjunct puppet empire~

And yeah, I think you could've done with a little more expansion, probably aggressively through your neighbors, who were way behind us in tech later on~

If I'd REALLY wanted to get nasty I should have used my Brandenburg Gate city to pump out some logistics (2 attacks per turn) promoted bombers, loaded them onto a carrier or three and sailed them over to wreak havoc in your lands~ My big military unit producing city could pump out even the most advanced units in 2-3 turns, with some powerful promotions too (3 promotions for the bombers means they started with logistics and were one promotion from air repair), would've been fun to see what kind of military I could make if I tried~ I dunno if it could compete with your Order-fueled production, but it might have made a mess~
