Don't you all understand, you have this completely wrong.
The mantis shrimp species may be preparing an attack on humanity, but their motive is a selfless one! In reality, it is the hope of this newly-enlightened crustacean species that through their martyrdom, they might unite humanity against them, and prevent the destruction of the entire planet by nuclear war. If all mantis shrimp were suddenly to attack us, we would instantly forget about our petty differences, and come to realize that we're all in this together, that no individual or nation is more important than any other; in the end, we're just like a colony of shrimp. We need to work together. Once this noble sacrifice was made, not only would the threat of world violence be eliminated, but so too would the issue of world hunger. Humanity would reach a greater understanding, and thanks to the selfless sacrifice of the humble mantis shrimp, the planet would be saved. Truly, through their infinite wisdom, they aim to show us that no matter how small you are, you can make a difference in this world. With love, it can be seen.
