Rpg maker, interesting. It can do some pretty interesting things, while it has its limitations it can produce interesting stuff as well. Good luck with it.

I know how that goes, since I'm also trying to get getting at drawing. So I know the feeling of 'it doesn't feel like I'm getting any better' it is a painfully slow process (at least for me) but VERY VERY VERY slowly, I'm seeing myself getting better. The key is to just keep working at it. And to don't stop because you feel you are making any progress.

And about the manga class I say go for it. Just work on it daily and keep practicing and not give up, and you'll get there. Believe in yourself I'm sure you can do it.
