Cake was only in the streamchats at the time. I didn't think he'd become a seacat, after all the reason he came to the stream was to play my D&D game which ultimately went nowhere. That's my reasoning, aside from the fact that he didn't have a proper sprite to use.

And of course, other seacats which joined after the episode's creation weren't in it. But no matter what, Genji listed all of the seacats' names in the ending movie, even if they weren't featured in the game.
