Ahh... ahaha. Well, about that. You see, a space alien came and burned it off my hard drive with a beam of light! And then the download crashed, twice, when I tried to download it again, and the emulator refused to work until I modified a bunch of settings in it.

Honestly though, my smaller hard drive crashed and I lost about 500 GB of anime and games, so I ordered a new one yesterday which should be arriving soon.
I never made it very far in the game, but the controls are still taking a bit of getting used to and the bad voice acting is kinda grating on the ears. It's alright so far, though.

That looks like Origins, so I guess it is. I was confused because the original was the one that was notorious for its bad voice acting. I thought Origins was vastly improved in that regard, save for a scant few instances.

Probably. I didn't like the Welcome to the NHK or Haruhi dubs either which a lot of people seem to think are a couple of the better ones, though English voice acting in general sounds pretty bad to me. Hell, I can think of maybe a handful of good anime dubs, and of them maybe like two or three that surpass the originals.
Though it's probably also that I haven't heard the original Baten Kaitos voices to compare these ones with so that'll be part of it as well.

You know what you do? Always take the master key and you can get to him right off the bat. Usually there are high level guys who leave their signs by the bonfire in the Undead Burg, so you can summon two to help you kill him and the black knight before the taurus demon.

If you're gonna do it yourself, just keep sidestepping him and backstab the hell outta him. His ring is pretty badass so you have to kill him if you wanna wear heavy armor later.

Oh that's a drag. The game is pretty fun online what with all the covenants, random invasions and glorious co-op. I wouldn't pay for Live either though. Um, yeah, get super close to him and just keep sidestepping. He really only has one big attack, which will kill you in one hit, so all you gotta do is try to sidestep him as he brings it down. If you accessed him through the uh, lower hydra entrance near the garden basin, you can also keep luring him out and lobbing fireballs at him. That's how I killed him one time, fufu.
