that line. The sprites were showing up, they just weren't visible. And I can't figure out how to make this stop. Well, I can use meta layer, but that makes things that much more complicated later when I use

Any idea how to stop this?

Why is it that you put two numbers instead of just one?

First number is the opcity you want it to change to. Second number is how you want it to change.

So:

changes the center area sprites opacity to 0, via effect 42 (slow overlay, fade, or whatever you want to call it) and it will kept going until it goes to the first number.

Well, with custom firmware, if you have a memory stick and something to hook your PSP up to a PC, you can transfer the files to install the custom firmware (temporary or not) along with the .isos and whatnot of games (and music and stuff, but you can do that without cfw). It'd just be like installing the game to your memory stick which some games have so you don't constantly have to bring the disc with you.
