Ah! Well, you can't explore the dungeon until you beat Skeletron. I recommend farming the Eater of Worlds first for a full set of demonite armor, which is very very strong. I wore it pretty much up until the wall of flesh, because the extra move speed is so nice.

My new psychiatrist is actually a really cool guy. I've only had one session with him so far, but he's so much easier to get along with than the last few I've been thrown back-and-forth between, so I think this time I won't need to get transferred to a new one within a couple months again.
The two of us get along great, though. He's smart and actually knows what he's talking about for once, doesn't act condescending like my last psychiatrist, and has a great fashion sense. Waistcoat, white dress shirt, gold cufflinks, gold rimmed spectacles, and his hair back in a ponytail. Apparently he likes to practice fencing as well, he's quite a fun and interesting guy.

I actually denied group therapy myself, same with family therapy and a couple of other options. Nothing like that will help in any way I think, so I'm not even going to bother with it. All I need is some counseling and meds, and whatever works will work, whatever doesn't won't.

Well, with a diagnosis of schizoaffective disorder at least there's some idea where the main problem lays. For that I'm on a dose of 10 mg aripiprazole anti-psychotics. Possibly anti-depressants or mood stabilizers at some point, not sure about that one at the moment.

Anyway, I'm not really the sort of guy just anybody can get along with. Most people don't quite like how straightforward I am about things, and when one person is condescending to me I tend to make it a point to act the same towards them; I'm sure you can see how problems can arise from things like that.

I can't say anything about that. I'm not you or them. Just speculation on my part along with the bit of knowledge I obtained through my psychology adventures~

I can't even pronounce most of those things, much less know what they are. If they are making you mellow, then they are most likely depressants. I have no idea what anti-depressants do other than make you less suicidal.
But yes, when people give you medication MOST of the time, they seem the problem tied to a biological one such as, maybe, insufficient flow or amount of dopamine from the brain to the body or something.
Either way, I have no idea what they are giving you or what your disorder is.

That Duloxetine does sound like heavy stuff. Anti-depressants-wise I've only ever been on Prozac and Sertraline, both of which I still have a couple boxes of lying around in a drawer somewhere beside countless other different kinds of pills.
I could use something to help me sleep, myself. Lately I've been waking up in the middle of the night after only 5 or so hours of sleep, then it takes another hour just to get back to sleep again. It's really quite annoying, but worse is how my sleep schedule is so erratic that I can never tell whether I'm going to be up at 3 PM or 3 AM.

Actually, scratch that, throwing them in a .rar managed to compress the size down to 150-200 MB, so it'll take less time to upload than expected.

Moving on, Monster ending. It seemed like an unresolved twist with more questions than answers at the end. Namely, 1) Franz's motive for murdering everyone at the Red Rosa Mansion (assuming he dunnit)
2) Franz telling Nina to forget it all and run but to never become monsters because moe twins.
3) Johann ninjas into Tenma's dream and disappears afterwards right at the end.
4) Who's the Monster? Klaus or the twin's mother? (I forgot her name looool)

Ah right, it's been a while since I've watched Monster so I'm not entirely sure on a lot of the details like that.
1) I'm actually not sure. I assumed it had something to do with ending the reading sessions to avoid creating more children like Grimmer and Johann, but again I'm not 100% sure on that. It could even have been somebody else altogether, since all that was really known was that the wine was poisoned.
2) I think, again, he was trying to prevent any more children from becoming monsters. I might be wrong but I think I remember him saying to Nina that "humans can become anything," where Nina mistakenly assumed at first that he meant they could even become monsters, when he actually meant the opposite. Or was that a different guy who said that altogether?
3) I always assumed that part wasn't actually a dream. I thought that Johann was just pretending to be in a coma or whatever and then escaped right after Tenma visited him at the end.
4) Klaus was the one who wrote the picture books, right? It's hard to say who the "Monster" was supposed to be, but I always took it that the message was there was a monster in everyone to some degree. Johann for obvious reasons, Klaus for making Johann the way he was, Tenma for twice sparing Johann's life, and the twins' mother for allowing it to happen in the first place.

That's all just my speculation from what I remember of it, anyway.

Eh, Klaus did tell Nina that 'humans could be anything but the both of them (twins) were precious treasures and should never become monsters.' I assume Nina probably forgot to mention it to Johann which led him to take on Nina's memories in order to protect her etc.

Klaus is still somewhat ambiguous as a character even after his death.. At first he seemed like the bad guy and mastermind of creating monsters such as Johann and Grimmer (The Magnificent Steiner ^_^), however his last words to Nina at the Red Rose Mansion would imply he had a change of heart at some point. I can't say whether he really became a goody two shoes working in the hotel because he was really sorry for his actions or if he was afraid of the twins growing up to take revenge on him.

I suppose Lunge is my favorite character in Monster. His train of thought as a detective is astounding, yet his lack of empathy for anything else aside of work reinforces the statetment, "No one is perfect."

I half expected Tenma to pull the trigger, yet it was that dumb drunk, what a tweest.

Yeah, Lunge is a great character. I think in order, my favourite character would be: Grimmer, Lunge, Johann, then Tenma. Lunge was a hell of a detective though, one thing I actually really liked about him was how he was able to "put himself into the culprit's shoes" and see things as if from their point of view, it always reminded me of my way of writing stories and how I see things from every character's point of view in every scene.
One thing I really liked about his character though, was how he always stuck to what he believed until unmistakably proven wrong. Like how he was convinced Tenma was the culprit even after Tenma saved his life, and never once faltered on that conviction until right near the end when he finally began to realize the truth about Johann.

The drunk pulling the trigger also caught me off-guard, but what hit me even more was how Tenma decided to save Johann from a bullet in the head a second time, even after everything that had happened. It really said a lot about his beliefs as a doctor who saves lives, I thought it was a great mix of both complete idiocy and an unwavering dedication to his own beliefs. About the only thing I did see coming was that I knew Tenma would never have been able to pull that trigger.

Ah. I recall Lunge assumption of Johann being a split personality of Tenma early on. He even went on to put himself in Johann's shoes while investigating a copycat murder. I was somewhat disappointed that Lunge never actually had a proper confrontation with Johann aside from the helicopter scene.

Imagine how amusing it would be if Lunge was spot on about Johann being in Tenma's head. Lunge's firm belief in this theory made me question the reliability of Johann's existence during the first 30-40 episodes.

Yeah, the way Lunge seemed absolutely sure about Johann just being a figment of Tenma's imagination was really convincing when you saw the logic behind his reasoning, though the only part it really made me doubt was whether Johann (as a child) was really capable of killing someone like that. The older Johann, though, I'd have had no trouble believing he could whittle an entire town or city down to just a handful of people overnight.

Monster really was a great series, though. I hear the anime was a near-perfect adaptation of the manga so I probably won't end up reading it for at least a couple of years maybe.
I really want to read the Master Keaton manga but only a few chapters have been translated, so I guess I'll just have to watch the anime instead. I should also really get around to reading 20th Century Boys, I don't even know how many years I've had that on my backlog for.

I hadn't listened to Sona-Nyl's soundtrack yet actually, downloading it now. The Inganock and Sharnoth soundtracks had some pretty great and memorable songs, Sharnoth's OP was also really catchy.
The strongest points of the What a Beautiful series to me seem to be consistently the music, the artwork and the general atmosphere when reading through them. As far as the artwork goes I'm quite partial to Inganock's art, some of it is really quite incredible.
