Ah! Well, you can't explore the dungeon until you beat Skeletron. I recommend farming the Eater of Worlds first for a full set of demonite armor, which is very very strong. I wore it pretty much up until the wall of flesh, because the extra move speed is so nice.

It did that with me and I had to bring the song down to 192kbps to make the file size smaller, then it worked. Anything over 10 MB seems to not work when I try to upload, dunno if that might be what was causing it or if it was something else though.

Oh, that's probably it then. Though my file is JUST BARELY over 10.5 MB and I don't really have a way to make it smaller (or really know how). Though it's strange since the posting limit is 153600 kb (or 150 or so MB I think?) so you should still be able to post music of 10 MB and higher unless that's a coding error with the website.

Yeah I noticed that too, probably is just some kind of coding error or something like that.
I just used Audacity to export the song as a slightly lower bitrate than it was in order to make the file a couple MB smaller. Not the best method but it gets the job done.
