Sureiya's magic boots propel him to his feet, and his blades flash again, one being repelled by the tentacle's tough hide but the other slicing through, spilling green blood on the lift. A beam from Sid's floating sphere blasts it as well. The shaman recalls her spirit before infusing it into Sureiya, and though he stabs forth again and drives his blade into the tentacle, this blow is not sufficient to put an end to the tentacle's thrashing about.
Ramuh shifts the position of his whirling hurricane, and a mighty bolt summoned by the genasi electrifies the enormous tentacle on the western edge of the lift, and it writhes briefly before pulling itself into the black pool it was emerging from. The pool then dissipates, leaving naught a trace of the tentacle behind. One of the eye tentacles is also struck by a residual tendril of lightning from the blast, and falls over dead. It lies limp on the ground momentarily before dissolving into black smoke.
When the remaining crusher tentacle attempts to assault the adventurers gathered around it, Sureiya finishes it by withdrawing his blade and stabbing forward again, this time a little higher--the tentacle pauses mid-slam and shudders, then retreats through the black portal that granted it entry to this plane, which then vanishes. There is a horrible reverberation from the nightmare, and though the water wall blocks you from gazing upon its visage, you can feel an ominous shift in atmosphere.
Sid hops out of the lingering viscous puddle before tossing a healing canister at Sureiya's feet, which then reinforces the half-orc's vigor, and he places a crossbow bolt in the eye of the remaining eye tentacle, which explodes into black smoke upon impact. Shaking his boots, he also clears the last of the gunk from them. It is at this point that another enormous globule of water falls from the sky, this time completely bowling over Sureiya once again, Myn manages to not avoid it as well. The ranger again finds himself knee-deep in the gunk, and the warlock is also rather stuck. This is followed by an enormous wave of water, formed from the barrier that once protected the nightmare, which completely knocks over Sureiya and pushes him further from his objective. Myn is caught in the wave as well, though he seems to fair better, despite coming out looking half-drowned.
The nightmare roars and fixes its gaze on the party, and it feels as though reality is breaking down as you look upon the creature. It latches onto the psyches of Sid and Sureiya, and both briefly writhe in agony as the creature's psychic dominance floods their minds. Myn is accosted by a new eye tentacle, which blasts him solidly in the chest, and the fallen Sureiya notices another constrictor worming its way towards his prone form.
Sureiya stands from prone. Sureiya uses twin strike, hitting once for 18 damage. Punishing eye deals 5 psychic damage.
At the start of Bernkastel's turn,
Bernkastel uses call spirit companion. Bernkastel uses spirit infusion, and Sureiya's melee basic attack hits the tentacle for 21 damage, and punishing eye deals 5 psychic damage. Myn and Sid gain 4 temporary hit points.
Ramuh moves his zone and uses lightning strike, hitting the crusher tentacle 1 for 30 lightning damage, which destroys it. The nightmare is bloodied. The chain lightning damage kills eye tentacle 1.
Crusher tentacle 2 uses crush, but Sureiya interrupts with disruptive strike, hitting for 18 damage, destroying the tentacle. http://orokos.com/roll/270887
Sid moves. Sid uses resistive formula on Sureiya. Sid uses magic weapon, hitting eye tentacle 2 and destroying it. http://orokos.com/roll/270861 Sid saves against being slowed. http://orokos.com/roll/270930
The leyline's Water bombs crits Sureiya for 31 damage and hits Myn for 17 damage, both are slowed (save ends).
Hemah's nightmare spawns tentacles, conjuring an eye tentacle and a constrictor tentacle.
Hemah's nightmare uses the water wall[b] secondary attack power, hitting Sureiya for [b]20 damage, pushing him 3 squares and knocking him prone. Sureiya activates resistive formula to blunt the blow. Myn is missed for 10 damage and pushed 1 square. Myn is bloodied.
With the water wall dispersed, the party is subject to the nightmare's maddening presence.
Hemah's nightmare spends an action point! Hemah's nightmare uses glimpse the unthinkable, hitting Sid and Sureiya for 17 psychic damage and both suffer a -3 penalty to their next saving throw.
At the start of Myn's turn, eye tentacle 3 uses eye beam and crits Myn for 9 psychic damage. Corrupter tentacle 1 misses Myn with cause fear, and Myn takes ongoing 5 psychic damage.

Notes
Knowledge of Hemah's Nightmare is dungeoneering and includes knowledge of the tentacles.
Knowledge of the Watery Leyline is dungeoneering or arcana.
Water wall blocks line of sight for creatures other than Hemah's nightmare, and other creatures in the zone are blinded. The zone provides cover for the nightmare. The zone is difficult terrain for non-aquatic creatures.
If you begin your turn grabbed by a constrictor tentacle you take 10 damage. A constrictor tentacle gets a small bonus to AC and Reflex when grabbing a creature.
The howling tempest zone deals 5 thunder damage to any creature that begins its turn therein.
Enemies within 3 squares of Sid's punishing eye can't benefit from concealment, and whenever one of them is hit by an attack, they take 5 psychic damage.
The water bomb zone is difficult terrain, and if you enter the zone, you fall prone.
