You wake up with a start. Those noisy cicadas must've done it, crying so loudly at this hour...
Where is this place? From what you can tell, you're inside a one-person camping tent. Oh, that's right, you decided to go to Camp Seacat after all...

But isn't it odd? You can't recall what happened once you got here.

In any case, there's no time to waste sitting around; a note found beside your sleeping bag tells you so:

"When you wake up, please meet your fellow campers at the waiting area outside your tent. We will begin the activities once everyone gathers, so please refrain from sleeping in!"

Well, what are you waiting for?

I jolt upward in my sleeping back, stretch my back like a feral jungle cat, and cry out a moan of pure, well-rested ecstasy.

"Aaaaarrrighty, let's get this sssshhhow on the road, mofuckas!"

Flops backwards, inhales deeply, and then rolls over in the sleeping bag multiple times until suddenly escaping from its confining depths and engaging in that most glorious morning routine -- clothing oneself in fine, environmentally-applicable, weather safe, and complexion flattering threads -- eliciting much jostling and good-natured, good-morning humming of catchy, bubbly recent hip-hop singles and foreign jazz beats all the while.

Strides, albeit hunched over, to the zipper in the tent, and pulls it taut and down like a heavenly crusader escaping the gullet of a defeated and craven monstrous dragon -- and then straightens up, strikes a pleasant smile, his attitude calming right down as the (presumably) fresh morning breeze meets his senses.

"Better start the day off like a hot-air filled idiot," he silently snickers to himself as he proceeds to the meeting area with faux clarity and bountiful gravity.

You step outside through the bright sunlight into an area enclosed by trees. Nearby is a sign which reads "Watch out for bears!"
It seems the following people have already arrived:

*20 year-old girl dressed like a doll
*32 year-old man wearing a lab coat
*18 year-old girl with long green hair in a school uniform
*20 year-old man with black hair and green eyes

You should introduce yourself before the activities begin!

Walks over to the group, smiling to whoever makes eye contact and, in the most civil and laid back of tones, introduces himself as Philip. Is just wearing casual albeit "stylish" (for lack of a better word) clothes, mind you.

Furthermore, he casts a cursory glance around the area, inspecting the foliage, fauna, and nearby surroundings with great curiousity -- particularly of note would be the tents or presume routes to the tents of the others.

All the tents are arranged in rows and columns. There are 15 tents total, organized in a 3x5 manner.

The trees are incredibly tall, making this waiting area seem like an open field amidst a forest. There are seemingly no clear ways out of this waiting area, as it is simply a field of grass encircled by trees.

The man in the lab coat introduces himself((you probably already knew him anyway~))

"It seems some of you have finally woken up, I have been waiting. My name is Toshio Ozaki, you can all just call me Ozaki. I was promised mysteries upon coming here and that's what I plan to solve. It seems there are quite a few lazy people still sleeping so I'll leave my introduction at that for now."

Also, more people have arrived during your time waiting:

*24 year-old man with blond hair and glasses
*33 year-old man in a red suit fit for a lawyer
*19 year-old girl with long blue hair
*23 year-old man with pointy red hair
*18 year-old man with pink hair and black hood
*18-year-old girl with light purple hair.

Someone new emerges from his tent.

"Hello, everyone. It certainly is nice to see that this camp will not be lacking constituents. When I signed up, I was afraid that a camp centered around mysteries wouldn't be very popular or well received. I'm Rudolf Ushiromiya, who might you all be?"

"Well, the camp is certainly quite mysterious so far, hey?" He asks rhetorically and with good nature, before moving around to find somewhere to seat himself -- well within earshot of the rest of the group -- if possible; be it a seat, stump, or the ground if so necessary. He'd appear very relaxed to anybody that bothers to pay attention to him; not entirely a "calculating" relaxed, but more as if he were exuding an air of complete complacency for the benefit of those gathering.

Suddenly the wind picks up and it feels as if you are being pushed off the ground by an earthquake. The sounds of several booms reverberate through the air, and upon turning around you can see that all of the tents are being blown apart by missiles! Small dents in the ground have taken their place. Surely anyone who was still sleeping would have been destroyed...

Looking above, you spot a giant helicopter patrolling the area. It's coming closer...! The helicopter dives downward, brushing near the ground past everyone, only to fly back up.

It turns around and again flies downward at high speed, this time crashing into the "Watch out for bears!" sign.

Looks like it made a small crater... Who's gonna go check it out?

It seems a few others are as puzzled as you are.

Blue-haired girl: "I don't...huh?"

The man in the lawyer's suit: "That was quite the show. Is there anyway we can get you to take off the costume?"

Blake Roone: "Well... what the hell. What kind of joke is this? It talks? A talking bear toy, our camp leader?"

Monobear: "...Costume? Toy? I'm a bear, can't you see? Not a person in a bear outfit! What an insulting thing to say to your new camp leader..."

Lawyer: "*sigh* I'd rather not argue for now. I apologize. Now can we move on? We've been waiting for quite a while."

Blake Roone: "That's does NOT look like something a camp leader would do! Who are you really and what's your goal here?"
"My goal? You came here for murder mysteries, did you not?"

Rudolf approaches the bear and asks him the following questions:

>Why do we all seem to have amnesia about having checked in?
"Upupu, that's a good question.~"

>Why do we all lack our luggage?
"Oh, that! When you arrived I took it for you. You'll find it in your rooms later!"

>Why did you blow the tents to kingdom come?
"Because I'm a bear."

>Where had Mr. Goldbar gone?
"Mr. Goldbar? Who's that? ...This place belongs to me, and no one else! And as your camp leader I am obligated to tell you one important thing about your stay here. It's going to be forever! Well, there is one way out... But do you really want to know?"

The others have all agreed to hear the one way out.

BGM: http://tindeck.com/listen/mzkg

"The one way to leave this campsite, the rite of passage... That is, the act of killing another person! Beatingstabbingclubbingbeheadingburningsuffocatingstranglingslaughteringvoodoocursing... The method doesn’t matter. 'Only a camper who kills someone can leave'. It’s a very simple rule. The most evil of actions leads to the best of outcomes. I hope you all cooperate."

Monobear walks back to his half-destroyed helicopter, apparently looking for something.

"Now then, there are some important rules you bastards need to follow. Take a look for yourselves!"

He returns with a signpost and bulletin board, which he plants firmly into the ground. Monobear looks at the bulletin board, reading off the list of rules one by one:

1. The campers will live a communal lifestyle with no time limit inside the campground's walls.
2. The time between 10 PM and 7 AM is called “Night Time”. During Night Time there are places that are forbidden to enter, so please take care.
3. Sleeping is only permitted in the personal rooms prepared for you in the dormitory area. Anyone intentionally falling asleep elsewhere will be punished.
4. You may investigate the campground as you please. There are no special restrictions on your actions.
5. No violence is permitted against the camp leader, Monobear. Destruction of the surveillance cameras is forbidden.
6. A “culprit” who kills a fellow camper will graduate the camp. However, they must not let any other camper know they are the culprit.
7. Additional rules may be added by Monobear at any time.

"Any questions?"

"There's a dormitory area nearby in which you'll be staying. Each of you has a room inside. The key is that Gold Card of yours, I believe you all received one...? No other key can open it! You can find the dormitory on the map on this bulletin board, but it is such a nice day, so you might want to look around first... "

The other players have all asked related questions:

>Blake Roone: "Yeah, no. I may like mysteries, but actually killing someone? Why the hell should anybody here go along with that?"
"Upupupu, it's your choice. But you're not leaving this place unless you choose to kill. You may not want to, but what about everyone else...? People can become such monsters in times likes these!"

>Blake Roone: "You don't get it, do you? What exactly is preventing us from simply taking our leave now? You come here and try to set up rules like you're in charge, but all I see is a tiny toy. You're not forcing anyone to stay here any longer than they want to."
"You say that with such confidence, but look around you... a vast forest with seemingly no way out, and even then... The walls!"

Looking up you can see extremely high walls rising above the treetops, as if built to keep out titans. It would definitely prevent any person from simply walking out...

>Kedgeworth: "..Ah. How very original. Again, I don't see any point in arguing. When will we find out which areas are forbidden to enter during Night Time? And what exactly do you mean by punished?"
"The dormitory's cafeteria is the only place off limits at night for now. And 'punished' means exactly what you think it means... Severe bodily harm if you refuse to follow the rules!"

>Lucas: "Hmm... I thought we would be solving mysteries instead of pretending to kill each other. And if we leave? What then? Your helicopter is not exactly in a repaired state to persuade. And I don't exactly appreciate the liberty you've taken with our luggage... or memory of how we got here."
"...Pretending to kill? You will be killing one another! But let me remind you of Rule #6. Culprits who are caught by other campers cannot leave. ...Get it, upupupupu?~ Also, I have no need for a helicopter. Because I'm a bear!"

Monobear: "Oh, look at the time, it's 10:00 AM! I'm a busy bear, so I must be on my way -- but one last thing! There's a special movie I want you all to see, so take a good look above! See you bastards later!"

Everyone turns their attention to the gigantic TV screens popping out of the ground, taller than even the trees... And just like that, Monobear disappeared into the forest.

The real game begins now. Who can you trust? Who will become a murderer? Will everyone live with hope or fall into despair?

....Welcome to Seacat Ronpa.

As soon as Monobear leaves, the girl with blue hair turns to address everyone.

"Well then, in light of these unusual circumstances...I think it would be for the best if we all make sure to stick together. That way, none of us can do anything without someone else noticing, thus stopping anyone from taking the chance to 'graduate'. This seems to be the best way to ensure that everyone survives this ordeal. ...What do you think, everyone?"

Lucas: "That's the most rational thing I've heard all day. Perhaps we should all stick together while roaming the camp grounds for some insight to how desperate our situation is. I mean, can we really all live here forever? Do we have the supplies? I'm ready whenever everyone else is."

The man known as Rudolf has a different opinon however: "Hold on, missy. The problem is that I can't say for certainty that we're all in the same boat here. If this really is a controlled experiment, there must be certain elements placed to force us into suspicion.

I'd expect that at least one of us here is not an innocent who was dragged into the ordeal. This person must be planted to plants the seeds of distrust in us and will likely be the first to strike.

That said, I can't much trust any of you further than I could throw you."

Mion: "This is not the time to say things like that!! We have to stay together and find a way to get out of here without any of us doing such cruel things!"

Kirigiri: "Correct,Rudolf. Monobear would definitely have some kind of mole somewhere to help induce despair. You can never be sure. However...proper communication will be the key to our survival here.."

Kedgeworth: "Rudolf, I still don't see why that changes what Furudo said. I think we should stick together, at least for now. It's too early for anybody to try pulling something. And it'd probably be better if we could keep an eye on each other."

Rika: "Perhaps you are right, Rudolf-san, but there's no way that we can know that. Distrusting each other isn't going to help anything if we can't prove our suspicions. So, I feel that we should assume everyone to be trustworthy until we are given a solid reason to think otherwise. ...That's my view, anyway. Obviously we will need to keep a close eye on everyone regardless. ...Anyway, I agree with Lucas-san. We should investigate everywhere thoroughly before we make any firm decisions. Does anyone have any particular preference as to where they would like us to investigate first?"

Rudolf: "Even with safety in numbers, we'll still have to be careful of the wolf in sheep's clothing. *sigh* Very well, let's stick together."

Kedgeworth: "Exactly. Besides, unpleasant things usually happen after people split up. So if we do have a wolf, he's probably going to WANT to split us up."

Lucas: "Perhaps we should look at the map first, to see if there's any areas of interest. Anyway, anyone who is against the idea of sticking together as a group is against our survival as a whole."

Kirigiri: "Let's start out with the dormitory area, shall we?""

Ozaki refuses to tag along. "Rudolf has the right idea. Fuck groups and fuck bitches. I'm definitely not joining your 'let's not get murdered' group." He then heads off into the dormitory area by himself.

Kedgeworth: "..Right. So now we know who to look out for. Let's just head to the dormitory area."

Rudolf: "The rooms. We all need to check our belongings. Might as well make an inventory list of all the things we have at our disposal. While we're at it, we can check all the room locks to make sure only a single key (our own) can open each room."

Kirigiri: "I'll be by myself." She then heads off to the dorm area as well.

Lucas: "Splendid idea Rudolf. Just in case anyone tries anything fancy in their rooms with what they brought with them, we should go in each room one by one, or at least stand in front of each other's open door at the very least. Though, I sincerely doubt anyone wants to hide anything at this point. I then recommend we should head to the cafeteria to see what we can grab. The sooner the better before those who left can gain an advantage."

Sticking together, the group (Blake, Kedgeworth, Victoria, Rika, Philip, Mion, Rudolf, Kazuichi, Drosselmeyer, and Lucas) heads to the dormitory.

Map of the inside: http://www.boonce.org/up/dorm.png

Rudolf: "Right, lets test each of our keys on each room systematically. We can start at Lucas's room and move clockwise. Upon reaching a room belonging to someone in our group, we will need to have them enter the room with at least 2 other members and make and inventory of their items."

Lucas, Rudolf and Kedgeworth enter Lucas's room. The rest wait outside.

"Well now, at the least, we're all clearly aficionado's of mystery -- this cold type of it, at least -- so we can all safely assume that we are all fairly astute and logical. I don't think anyone needs to start feeling suspicion immediately."

"Of course, inevitably there shall be attempted murder amongst us, but it's safe to say that, for the time being, we are probably all much to unfamiliar with the situation to start cutting each others throats right off the back."

"Let's all relax, for now, shall we? For now," he says, smiling -- granted, his smile is bitter, as he's clearly enjoying this turn of events not one bit; he smiles nonetheless, to hopefully calm himself and the suspicious inclination of the others.

While the group is walking around, Philip would investigate the floorboards (to see if it's creaky in any particular area and for any particular blemishes), in addition to scanning the ceiling and running a hand along the wall for most of its breadth (the wall upon which the doors to the east/right of the dorm are). He'd also attempt to tap the wall at routine intervals to check for the interior thickness of certain areas, both at shoulder height and up above and down low -- the presence of supports, ventilation shafts, approximate wall thickness, etc.

Drosselmeyer: "This is a waste of time, we should all try it at the same time, besides why would I let the possible culprit how to enter my room?"

Kazuichi: "... Well, I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm grabbing by stuff back before anything else." He then leaves the group.

Lucas shows the group the items he found:
1.Mirror
2."Dangan Ronpa Zero" Manga
3.Knife
4.Pen
5.Paper

Lucas: "Hopefully we can get who owns what sorted out, along with each person wielding some sort of defensive tool as we investigate the campground to assess the situation. Though, it might be troublesome with those who split. All I know is that complete transparency is our only hope if we want to survive in this large of a group."

Rudolf does the same after inspecting his room:

1.Pen
2.Briefcase filled with stationary and journals
3.Cellphone
4.Camping dishes
5.A hand-crank generator

Rudolf: "Not exactly everything I brought, though the dishes I certainly recall as having been mine."

The floorboards seem quite sturdy and walls thick. There is nothing unusual about either of them.

Meanwhile:

Rika: "Ah, now that you mention it, I think I did bring a pen and paper. I'll take those if you don't mind."

Rika scribbles the names of each item down on the paper.

Rika: "...Also, I'd like to point something out to anyone who's thinking of going off on their own. According to that bear's rules, a culprit can only leave if nobody realises that they are the culprit. ...In other words, they have to kill with no witnesses. Therefore, staying in a large group essentially makes it impossible for the culprit to act, because assaulting any member of the group will immediately alert the rest of us. Basically, the more you isolate yourself, the more you make yourself into a potential victim. Just saying~"

Rika then enters her room.

Kedgeworth: ""Apparently that isn't what some people think, Rika. Even though it's probably the most efficient way to not let anyone die. I don't really think there's any need to follow a specific order in checking rooms and that might prove to be difficult in the first place. It's not like the rooms are really far apart. So I'd rather check mine with the rest of you now so that I don't get suspected of hiding anything."

Kedge then leads the investigation to his own room.

Rudolf: "I assume I can leave you guys to making the inventory then? I'm starving and think I'd like to go to the cafeteria before they close tonight." He goes to the cafeteria.

Kedgeworth: "*sigh* Well, looks like I don't even have a pen to defend myself with. But here you go. I'm off to the cafeteria as well. Anyone's welcome to join."

There is a piece of paper taped to the wall.

“An Announcement from Headmaster Monobear”

There is an anti-picking mechanism installed in the room’s locks. Duplicating the keys is difficult, so make sure you don’t lose yours. There is a shower installed in every room. Please note that during Night Time no water comes out. Additionally, only the shower rooms in girls’ rooms can be locked.

Finally, I have prepared a small present for you. In each room is a box containing five items. Those items are what you brought with you to the campsite. However, all of them were accidentally mixed together, and I had to sort them out by hand. Oops! This means you might not get what you originally brought! (( Sorry for being so incredibly inactive. Been very busy with my girl thing. ))

Philip would search the bathroom for anything like toothbrushes, any kind of hygiene products, the existence of a toilet plunger, etc. Also, whether or not the toilet top ca be removed and the chain inside the toilet can be easily detached and re-attached.

He'd do the same in the bedroom, to see if there are any other little things lying around of note.

He'd then remove the fishing line from the fishing rod and coil it around the handle of the magnifying glass, tying one end of the line to the neck of the magnifying glass. He'd stuff the notebook into his pocket and the now fishing-line-equipped magnifying glass into another pocket, leaving the rest in his room (in an empty cupboard if available; under the bed if not).

Following that, he'd put his ear to the door and see if anybody is outside the room. He'd wait inside until it sounded like there was nobody in the immediate vaccinity, and then leave the room and head out the dormitory doors.

A quick cursory inspection of how dense the woods are around the dorm, and then he'd wander off -- in whichever direction would seem to lead to high ground, if applicable; if not, he'd just wander off.

((Ah, alright then. You're not the least active one though, so don't feel too bad.))

Above the sink is a cabinet full of hygiene products including toothbrushes and paste. There do not seem to be any plungers. However, the toilet can be opened and messed around with as you suggested.

There are two sets of drawers and a garbage can in the bedroom with nothing inside of them. There is a lamp hanging above a table. Lastly, there are security cameras in the corners of the room.

You stuff the notebook and magnifying rod into your backpack, leaving the rest in one of the dressers.

Once the coast is clear you leave without anyone noticing. It seems the northern area leads to higher ground, so you go on that trail.

You arrive at the backside of the dormitory building. There is a junction: north and west, with the northern trail having higher ground. Up ahead in the north you can see what looks like a junk yard and a building amidst the trash.

Philip continues up the northern route, but not on the trail itself if possible. It will slow him down to skulk through the bushes off to the side, but he does so anyway, remaining wary of the trail in front of and behind him.

Suddenly all the TVs nearby turn on, displaying a picture of Monobear.

"Hello, everyone! One of you bastards asked me about setting fire to the forest, so I added a new rule:

New Rule: Anyone found to be destroying trees or other local flora will be severely punished! Non-destructive modification is allowed.

I hope that clears the situation up for you bastards. As for the buildings, they're fireproof. Trust me on this one. Because I'm a bear. And remember, only YOU BASTARDS can prevent forest fires!"

The TVs return to normal.

You go further north. After some walking you are stopped in your tracks by a gigantic wall. There appears to be a tunnel through it, but it's currently sealed off. A sign on it says "NORTH QUADRANT".
You start to feel hungry.

Philip would set about investigating the area around the dormitory, such as notable objects and areas within a quick few minutes walking distance of the dorm.

When done that, and assuming nothing happens to attract his attention away, he'd head inside to his room and remove the notepad he put in a drawer.

He'd tear off a few small slips of paper, rolling them up into a number of separate little toothpick-esque slips. He'd make at least two dozen of these. He'd then open all the doors and windows in the room, including the cupboards, and close them again with one slip wedged into each (y'know, so that if they're opened the slip will fall out, making it obvious unless the person is observant enough to notice the paper slips on the ground).

He'd then exit his room, and check the hall to make sure no one is looking, before putting two paper slips in the door -- one on the side of the door where it opens, where it would be more obvious that there's a slip wedged in there; the second slip, however, he'd attempt to wedge much more inconspicuously on the other side of the door, just an inch above the door hinge, so that it the door opens it won't actually fall to the floor but instead just down those few centimetres toward the hinge (hopefully tricking anybody in the off chance somebody does open the door).

This all done, he'd wander around the dorm to see what anybody else is up to in the area, a laid-back, casual smile on his face.

It seems there is a rose garden to the northwest and a museum to the northeast of the dormitory. A lake is to the southwest. It is unknown what is to the southeast.

You tear up the paper and place the strips accordingly.

Rudolf and Drosselmeyer are standing around in the hallway. Kedgeworth and Blake can be seen returning to their rooms.

The darkness of the night is soon remedied by the presence of lights hanging from the trees. The trail is illuminated enough to clearly see where to go next, although going anywhere off it could mean jumping into total darkness.

It's a clear sky tonight, with many stars visible above.

Philip would, indeed, move off the trail, into the darkness around it. He knows full well that if he encounters anybody else who is under the lights, they'll be effectively blinded by the light to the surrounding darkness. Consequently, though it'd presumably take him much longer to pathfind through the woods parallel to the trail -- far enough away, and moving slow enough, to remain stealthy within a reasonable shadow of a doubt, but close enough to see anybody under the lights (or presumably hear anybody making a great ruckus?).

If/when he arrives at the rose garden, he'd circumnavigate its perimeter, looking within and around, before entering from the main entrance to the garden and proceeding toward the shed.

"Oh hello. Philip was it? What are you up to?"

"Oh, y'know, just stalking the darkness hoping to find an unknowing victim in a plight of murderous opportunity," he responds, with a chuckle.

"Just looking around, actually. Sitting in the dormitories doesn't exactly strike me as something that'll help calm ones nerves. ... Although, I suppose wandering around in the darkness does make me a slightly more attractive target, doesn't it?" He chuckles once more.

Philip would approach the table, hands still in his pockets. He'd have one hand on the magnifying glass that he attached the fishing line to (y'know, fishing line garrote, mmmkay), just in case Ozaki decides to make any quick moves. Or, not the only ones presently here, for that matter."

"Or, rather than from somebody in a similar situation to us, it could be somebody else just in the area. A sort of... distraction thrown into this event to perturb us; make the game more interesting. The massive quantity of cameras, televisions, lights -- everything -- all adds up to somebody with a great deal of wealth and resources, so this being some form of twisted 'reality television' wouldn't be surprising... and reality television is never real, it's always staged, and there's always shit thrown into the mix to make the otherwise inane and uninteresting lives of morons into something vaguely more amusing and palatable to whatever low-IQ, bad-taste crowd the show's being aimed at."

Ozaki: "I see... Yeah those are definitely ideas that come to mind. However for the last one you have to ask 'why'. I mean... well actually nvm... it's probably nothing. I'll talk to you later. I'm getting a bit tired."

He then proceeds to leave the rose garden.

Philip would leave the shed, and look around the rest of the rose garden, stopping at the gazebo for a few moments to scan the area from it's presumably slightly raised platform. After that, he'd head back onto the trail to the dormitory, and then head toward the lake.

If/when he gets there, he'd look around, gauging the surroundings and shoreline and the density of foliage and obstructions near the water line and how the path follows the lake. After that, he'd return to the dormitory and head to his room.

Again, he'd stick to the woods and the darkness adjacent to the paths and their lights. If he sees someone on the path, he'll just pass them and attempt to remain unseen in the darkness, unless they're doing anything particularly interesting or of note.

If all of this occured without much event, he'd return to his room -- replacing the paper slips into the door into his room before closing the door behind him -- and get some sleep.

At the lake you encounter Ozaki again, but this time you keep your distance.

He walks over to a canoe, messing around with it in the darkness.

The path follows a semicircle of the lake. It looks impossible to get to the other side without using the canoe or going through dense trees.

Philip would wait a few minutes to ensure Ozaki doesn't come back, and then he'd ring around the area to the woods closer to the canoe without actually approaching it directly. He'd then remain watching the area for a few more minutes, ensuring nobodies just waiting around in the woods too (or as much as he can be), before approaching the canoe.

He'd investigate it as closely as possible without touching it, it's berth, or it's contents. Anything that he does have to move -- incase there's anything covering anything else in the canoe -- he'd check very closely to make sure there's no little things hiding to give away whether or not it's fiddled with, such as his own paper slips in his door, before disturbing the contents to look in the canoe and place them back in place.

Monobear Theater

Monobear: "You know, I always try to do my best, but sometimes I just get distracted. It's really annoying when you're sitting there innocently, and all of a sudden a fly comes and interrupts your thoughts! And it happens again and again! It's almost like they want you to hit them! ...However, if I hit them, I question my morality. What makes it okay to kill bugs, but not people? Why is it okay to torture farm animals in factories to feed ourselves but feel great shame from watching those animal shelter commercials featuring dogs and cats? ...The ramifications of this double standard plague my thoughts too often."

((And so ends Day 1. That took way too long. I'll try and speed up the posting, but you guys better get killing each other soon. Or else we won't have anything to solve! However, you all did a good job exploring places. I look forward to a calmer playing speed... hopefully, less posts with more meaning, allowing the passage of in-game time to go faster. I've noticed that activity is at its highest from 7-12 and 16-20 board time, so perhaps you can plan ahead to post then. It's good to take a break from posting every now and then.))

Monobear: "Good morning, you bastards! It’s 7 in the morning! Time to wake up! Let’s all strive to do our best today!"
>> No. 679 edit
Philip would rise from bed, after what seemed like a sempiternal sleep that even Cthulhu would have gotten bored with, and gets dressed and showered and blah blah.

His first order of business is to go around his room checking all of the little paper slips he put in doorways and windows and cupboards, like a good little paranoid boy.

Following that, he'd ensure that he still has his magnifying glass thing with the fishing line on it -- y'know, in case he needs to suddenly pull it out and garrote somebody with it, or whatever.

Then he'd leave the room and make sure to replace the two paper slips in the door when nobody is looking. If there are any groups gathered in the dormitory he'd approach them and listen; if not, he'd head to the cafeteria for breakfast.

Suddenly the TV turns on, and you see Monobear on the screen.

"Attention, you bastards! A body has been discovered! Following a brief period of investigation, we will commence our camp trial!

Let me explain the supplementary rules regarding 'graduation'!! The fact that 'someone who kills another can graduate the school' remains unchanged, but... There is one more clause to that rule that must be checked, right? It’s no good just killing someone. You must hide what you’ve from everyone else! And so, the system to judge whether that was accomplished or not... ...is a 'camp trial' session we will enact a short time after a killing occurs! This 'camp trial' will commence a few hours after murder takes place! It will be a battle between the 'culprit' who committed murder... And the 'innocents' - the rest of you students!!

During trial, you will get a chance to debate 'who among us is the hidden killer' among yourselves. The result will be decided by vote, held at the end of the trial session. And then, if the answer you reach is the correct one... The culprit who disrupted public order will be 'punished', and the rest can go on living our camp’s communal lifestyle. On the other hand, if the wrong person is voted for as the culprit... The real culprit who committed the crime stays alive, but all the innocents will be 'punished'. If that happens, that will also be the end of our communal lifestyle, of course!

If I may speak bluntly... I’m talking about execution, of course! Execution means execution. Eh-kse-kyu-shon. Zap-zap in the electric chair! Choke-choke from poison gas! Maybe I’ll tear your body up in a hurricane storm! Judging people is a duty not to be taken lightly. Your very lives depend on it! Those are the rules of the 'camp trial'!!

Isn’t it time you start your investigation into who the culprit is? This is a file I’ve written, containing details about the body. It’s name is... ...The Monobear File!! It didn’t escape me that I’m dealing with a bunch of amateurs here and there’s a limit to what you can learn from examining the body... So instead, I gathered up technical details like the circumstances and cause of death for you. Isn’t that handy?! Aren’t you dying to know how I know the cause of death? I saw the whole thing happen through the surveillance cameras! I’m a first-hand witness!! Anyways, good luck with your investigation! It’s not like you have any choice! Well then, I’ll see you in a bit at the camp trial!"

MONOBEAR FILE: The victim is Drosselmeyer. The time of death was around 11:45 PM. The body was found in his room. Cause of death is a wound to the face made by a sharp object. Other than that, there are traces of damage to the head and right leg.

You arrive at the crash site. The broken helicopter still sits where you last saw it, smashed to pieces into the ground. Looks like everyone else has arrived.

Monobear: "Upupu... Is everyone here? If that’s the case..."

Suddenly, you feel the floor below you rumble like an earthquake. The ground moves down, and once you're several feet underground, two metal plates close off the ceiling. You're in an elevator. The rough metallic sound of the elevator reverberates as you travel downward. As if to compliment the mood, the elevator kept tumbling on down and down. Finally, the elevator stops, and everyone goes through a single door...

Monobear: "Nyohoho! You’re finally here! Well, what do you think? Isn’t this just like a courtroom? The scenery is on par with a Hollywood movie, isn’t it? Well then, everyone - please take the seat with your name written on it. Hurry up! Hurry up!"

You do as Monobear says and go to your designated seat. The seats are arranged in a circle so that everyone is facing each other. You notice there are two extra seats with the names "Dark Kamijou" and "Wright" written on them, for a total of 14 seats.

Monobear: "Upupupu... Let's begin!"
