Do any of you actually know this series? It's INCREDIBLY obscure, and understandably so, since it's not even a localized game in the U.S.

It's not really that obscure to me, I mainly know if it through some of my friends who linked me to the somethingawful thread which translates it and junk. Was slightly disappointed by the trail end of the story, but not as much as Umineko's ending, obviously.

Kinjo-san likes it, I think.

I meant generally, as a game. I liked the idea of the evidence bullets though. I was like-
Holy shit Naegi is actually Battler in disguise

You know, you might need to talk with Kinjo.

I read it along side Kinjo.
Tis above par. Mysteries were a bit too easy though, which is too be expected. Well made but nothing shockingly impressive.

Music was good, same with the art naturally. The voice actors actually quite well know (Nobuyo Ōyama, Yōko Hikasa, Tomokazu Sugita to name the few I remember).

The interactivity (evidence bullets and the like) were good as well. The sequel fixed most problems with the first game's interactivity I had, but reading the second game, since it is basically the same premise it doesn't feel as entertaining. Haven't finished the second one yet but hopefully there will be something more impressive in mystery aspects than the first.

>INCREDIBLY obscure

I may be wrong, but I believe this series has garnered considerable attention on websites like Tumblr, so can it really be considered obscure?? Even a classmate of mine read it without me telling him anything about it, and he got a few other friends into it.

I liked the music!! Have you guys started reading SDR2?

A-actually, the amount of people that read it got big enough that we solved the first SDR2 trial at school and will be meeting up during the summer for the second one. The aforementioned friend and I wrote a summary and stuff. It was pretty fun, but I felt a tad ridiculous. I'm roleplaying Chiaki Nanami.

Yamada's voice actor did the voice of Will Smith in the Japanese dub of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.

Yamada is the motherfucking Fresh Prince

Weeaboo school indeed. I hadn't heard of Dangan Ronpa until Hide mentioned it. The LP and upcoming anime are the only ways I bet most people would ever know of it.
