Talking about CiV, since it seems that a lot of peoples around here have been playing it, even outside of the usual group we form. How about we do a big /seacats/ CiV game ? The biggest problem would be getting everyone around at the same time, especially with the time differences and all.
So, is anyone interested ?

What might work better is doing it via something like Giant Multi-player Robot, which is basically like you can play your turn at any time and pass it into the next person~ It probably has less connection problems too~ Only problems I foresee is some people getting lazy about taking their turns and holding everyone up~

The road to proper writing is a long and arduous one. I was so confident I was getting close, then Rosa smashed that. Aiaiaiai... oh well. I'm probably calling quits on my VN endeavours after this and concentrate on real writing, so I do want to make this a pretty darn good one.

It looks like a difficult path, especially with all the differences in style. Personally I think you can add a few "huh"s and other kind of additional sentences if they add value to the conversation. If that MC guy was a shy guy he would probably stutter or at least think twice what do he says.

I've already shared my thoughts on the matter, but to improve your writing the best way really is to reread yourself and analyze every inch of what you wrote to make it better, at least, in term of pure writing, and it ultimately becomes an habit.

The girl he's talking to is shy. The "huh's" all come from her, too, and she's pre-occupied during the conversation checking on her phone. I guess that the "huh's" can really drag the conversation out so I'm hunkey-dorey okay with removing them.

In the end, though, I don't want to fuss over perfection too much; At the end of the day, I want to write to the best of my ability, not continuously brush up and get stuck in forever revisions.
