This is a conditional probability problem. The correct solution is 275/1296, or D. 0.21219

Here's the proof:

Event A = Kinjo wins
Event B = Kinjo rolls a 6 on his second turn AND the game gets far enough for him to do so

We need to calculate the conditional probability P(B|A), that is the probability of B given A. P(B|A) = P(A|B){P(B)/P(A)}

P(A|B) is 1. Kinjo rolling a 6 on his second turn means he is the winner.

P(B) is (5/6)(5/6)(5/6)(1/6) = 125/1296

P(A) is the probability of any sequence that looks like this: *6, ***6, *****6, ..., where * is a number other than 6. That is: P(A) is (5/6)(1/6)(36/11) = 5/11.

So, P(B|A) = 1*(125/1296)/(5/11) = 275/1296

Oh, my answer was very far off that. Here's how I pictured it happened:

The woman got a big barrel full of ice, and positioned it directly below a noose. She then put her neck into the noose, and stood on the ice in the barrel. She then waited for the ice to melt, eventually causing her to drop far enough for the noose to tighten around her neck, thus suffocating her.

Seven, six daughters and a son. If each of the daughters has one brother, then only one brother exists. If there existed one brother for each daughter, then there would be twelve children, but this in turn would mean that each daughter actually has six brothers instead of one.

Thus, six daughters and one son.

One day on Rokkenjima, Beatrice decided to pay a visit. Using her magic she appeared before four other people, and the five of them sat around drinking tea for a while. The people there were Battler, Beatrice, Kinzo, Kanon and Genji, but unfortunately they got into an argument. Eventually the argument got so heated that they ended up throwing accusations at each other. The following statements were made:

Kanon: "Battler and Genji are both liars."
Beatrice: "One person here is telling the truth."
Kinzo: "Beatrice is lying."
Genji: "Between Battler, Beatrice and Kanon, one of them is lying."
Battler: "It's all useless, everybody is lying."

Who is telling the truth?
1. Beatrice
2. Beatrice & Genji
3. Beatrice & Kanon
4. Genji & Kinzo
5. Kanon & Kinzo
6. Battler

One cannot deny himself, so battler is lying.
For Kanon to say the truth he needs both of Genji and Battler lie, so let's check Genji
"Between Battler, Beatrice and Kanon, one of them is lying." Battler is liying, so Genji is not but Kanon is.
Beato says "One person here is telling the truth." And this is also truth.
And in the end Kinzo tries to deny Beato, but he fails.

So, it's number two, Beato and Genji.

This really seems like it depends on your interpretation of each person's dialogue, but i'll do my best.

As anon says, battler by necessity cannot be telling the truth, unless you've mixed in some utterly insane wordplay. Because of this, we know that at least one person MUST be telling the truth.

Let's look at Beato's statement. We can interpret this in one of two ways. Either she means that only a single person is telling the truth, or that at least one of them is. For now, let's cast this aside in hopes of attaining more information.

Genji's statement says that "between" the three, one of them is being truthful. I think the 'between' here is important to consider. Ordinarily, the point of using the word between in this context is to point out a distinction. If you were, for example, to say that between two colored objects, one is red, you'd obviously be implying that the other is not. This is the point of using the word between. Therefore, if you use the word between when referring to three objects, the intent should remain the same, to point out a distinction. I take this to mean that out of the three people, only a single one was lying.

If this statement is true then, it means that Battler is the only liar, and that Kanon and Beato are both being truthful. However, because Kanon calls Genji a liar, both Genji and Kanon cannot both be telling the truth. If Genji's statement is in fact true, this creates a LOLPARADOX. By this logic, we can safely assume Genji must be lying.

This could mean two things. Either more than one of the three is lying, or none of the three are lying. Because we know battler is lying, we can eliminate the latter possibility. Because we now know Genji's statement is false, it stands to reason that Kanon is telling the truth. This allows us to corner yet another Liar. Because Genji's statement is false, someone besides battler has to be lying and we know it isn't Kanon. That leaves only Beato. By this line of reasoning, we can now determine that Beato meant "only" one person is telling the truth, which by now we know not to be true. Because we've eliminated her, this leaves but one possibility, 5: Kanon and Kinzo.

IN THE END, NOT SURE, NE. Either 1, 3, or 5, ne.

1. Beatrice
Maybe, ne. Since it could be interpreted as one person or ONLY one person, ne. Confusing. Ne. If Genji is telling the truth, then, he should be saying that Battler is a liar, ne. But then it says that Kanon is telling the truth, whereas Kanon is saying that Genji is lying as well, so, fake, ne. Kanon has the possibility as telling the truth too, ne! If Beatrice means, "there is one person but there are also more that are telling the truth," then, this possibility can be true, ne.
(Kanon), (Beatrice), Kinzo, Genji, Battler

2. Beatrice & Genji
No, ne. Same reason as above, ne. Battler already lies, ne. So, crossing out Battler, there is Beatrice and Kanon, who can be said as telling the truth, ne. But then, Kanon says that Genji lies, so, can't be, ne.

Kanon???, (Beatrice), Kinzo, (Genji), Battler

3. Beatrice and Kanon
Maybe, ne. If Kanon is telling the truth, then, Genji and Battler are crossed out. Then, since Beatrice is telling the truth, Kinzo should be crossed out too. So, maybe, ne.

(Kanon), (Beatrice), Kinzo, Genji, Battler

4. Genji and Kinzo
No, ne. If Kinzo is telling the truth, then, Beatrice is crossed out. Then, if Genji is telling the truth, then, Beatrice is lying, and Battler and Kanon are telling the truth. But then, Kanon says that Genji is a liar, so, no, ne.

Kanon, Beatrice, (Kinzo), (Genji), Battler

5. Kanon and Kinzo
Maybe, ne. If Kinzo is telling the truth, Beatrice is crossed out. Then, if Kanon is telling the truth, Genji and Battler are crossed out, ne. It's possible, ne.

(Kanon), Beatrice, (Kinzo), Genji, Battler

One day Zefur decided to play a prank to the seacats members using Anon-kun's matches

Since they used a lot...they realized that they couldn’t buy him more matches. They Also couldn’t get another pack since.......It was the only Matches pack in the Seacats mansion.....

By a miracle........they managed to hide this fact

by making look the remaining matches like "Thousand"

How many matches did he/her use to make it look like a thousand?

A) 64-70
B) 30-45
C) 46-61
D) 28-30
E) 450-500
F) They lied about that they actually didn’t use any Match! uwoooooooooo

I would actually be surprised if someone guess the answer seconds after I posted this.. or if someone choose that option...~~~

Naturally you will have to explain me why that option….

These two got it, mostly, but Butler hit the nail right on the head, damn him.

First, "Normal Person Logic". Battler is obviously lying, since if he were telling the truth then everybody would be lying including himself, and this is impossible since it would become a Liar's Paradox.
Next is Genji. He states that "Between Battler, Beatrice and Kanon, one of them is lying." Since Battler has to be lying, then only Battler must be lying for Genji's statement to be true (see >>5097, Genji worked out the Normal Person Logic perfectly in his post). If Genji's statement is true and Battler is the only one of the three lying, then Beatrice and Kanon are telling the truth. But if Kanon is telling the truth then Genji must be lying, thus it would create a paradox. By this logic, Genji must be lying.
That brings us to Kanon. Since Battler and Genji have both been proven liars, this makes Kanon's statement the truth. From here the only answers which can be correct are the ones which include Kanon.
Then there's Beatrice's statement. Beatrice states that "One person here is telling the truth", but she doesn't state whether it's only one person or whether it's at least one person. Genji's statement deliberately included the word "between" to make it clear he meant there was only one person lying, so it would be safe to assume that Beatrice, too, meant that only one person was telling the truth. If this statement is the truth then only Beatrice can be telling the truth, but we already know that Kanon is telling the truth. Thus Beatrice must be lying.
And lastly, we come to Kinzo. If Beatrice is lying - which she must be - then Kinzo's statement is automatically true.

By this Normal Person Logic, Kanon & Kinzo were telling the truth, so "5. Kanon & Kinzo" would be the correct answer. For those who used this logic, then congratulations, you were half-right. You got the answer right, but the way you got it was slightly off.

Next there's "Crazy Person Logic", AKA "The Real Answer". Now think about this carefully because it makes a lot of sense.
Battler is incompetent, he's not only lying but he's stupid too and probably doesn't even realise that what he said is a paradox.
Beatrice is a witch, she doesn't exist. Therefore anything she says is automatically a lie.
Also, Kinzo is a corpse. This doesn't mean he's lying though, since if Beatrice is lying then Kinzo is automatically telling the truth. His life-or-death status is irrelevant since he's telling the truth by default, anyway.
Genji stated that "Between Battler, Beatrice and Kanon, one of them is lying", but since Battler is an incompetent liar and Beatrice doesn't exist, this makes Genji a liar, too.
Kanon is telling the truth, since Genji is a liar and Battler's incompetence won't let him be anything but a liar.

By this Crazy Person Logic, Kanon & Kinzo were technically telling the truth, even though one of them is also technically dead. Kinzo's statement is true by default so it doesn't matter that he's a corpse (and if you have a problem with that, you can either deal with it or just pretend he was momentarily resurrected as a zombie in order to make that statement before dropping dead as a corpse again). Thus the correct answer is "5. Kanon & Kinzo", because Kanon was telling the truth and Kinzo's statement became truth by default, plus dead men tell no tales so it's impossible to call Kinzo a liar (since, you know, he couldn't lie even if he wanted to. Poor old geezer). For those who used this logic (damn you Butler), congratulations, you hit the nail right on the head.

I would never call it super good, but explaining things have been always something natural.
Let's see, prolog is very weird, it's actually a specialized language, not as C or Java, those guys can do basically everything.
Prolog is something weird we call Expert System, an Expert System is database in which instead of recollecting normal information, (at least, in the case of prolog) recollects facts and rules.

Example:
Gogo is a bunny. -> This is a fact, imagine it as red truth.
Gogo is cute if she is a bunny. -> Look at the if, this is a rule.

When the database is ready, I can ask certain things to it, for example, I can ask it if Gogo it's cute. There is no fact directly stating it, but there's a rule for it. And there's a fact saying that gogo it's a bunny.
So, prolog replies with a yes.

I believe how you answer it is thus:

1: Ask god B, "If I asked you 'Is A Random?', would you say 'ja'?". If B answers 'ja', then either B is Random (and is answering randomly), or B is not Random and the answer indicates that A is indeed Random. Either way, C is not Random. If B answers 'da', then either B is Random (and is answering randomly), or B is not Random and the answer indicates that A is not Random. Either way, A is not Random.

2: Go to the one that is NOT random and ask, "If I asked you if the door behind you leads to Heaven, would you say 'ja'?" If he answers "ja" then the door behind leads to heaven (you win!), and if he answers "da," then the door behind him doesn't lead to heaven.

3: If the door behind the previous god doesn't get you into heaven based on the response to 2, then ask the SAME god this question: "If I asked you if the gate behind God B leads into heaven, would you say 'ja'?" Same principle. If he says ja, the gate behind God B leads into heaven, otherwise, it's the last remaining gate.

No, you don't. I'm not asking them if it's true or false, I'm asking them if they'll answer "ja."

Think about it. This is the question: If I asked you X, would you say "ja"?
If "ja" is yes...
a) Truth says "ja", X is true.
b) Truth says "da," X is false.
c) False says "ja," he is lying so if you asked him X he would instead answer "da". So the truthful answer to X is "ja".
d) False says "da," he is lying so if you asked him X he would answer "ja". So the truthful answer to X is "da".

If "da" is yes, then the gods' answers are the same thing, but for the reverse reasons. Does that make sense?

Ok, think about it if "da" is yes (and "ja" is no).
a) Truth answers ja (no). This is because he would say "da" (yes) to X, because X is true. THIS IS THE SAME AS THE ABOVE, THE GOD ANSWERS JA AND X IS TRUE.
b) Truth answers da (yes). This is because he would answer "ja" to X, because X is false. THIS IS THE SAME AS THE ABOVE, THE GOD ANSWERS DA AND X IS FALSE.
c) False answers ja (no). He is lying, so he WOULD say ja (no) to X--because it's true, and he can't say da (yes) to the truth. THIS IS THE SAME AS THE ABOVE, THE GOD ANSWERS JA AND X IS TRUE.
d) False answers da (yes). He is lying, so he wouldn't say ja (no) to X--because it's false, he HAS to lie and say da (yes). THIS IS THE SAME AS THE ABOVE, THE GOD ANSWERS DA AND X IS FALSE.

Follow? Edited in false's responses.

Yes, the trick is the magic question, "If I asked you X, would you say 'ja'?"

As long as you're not asking the God who answers randomly this question, 'ja' will always mean X = true and 'da' will always mean X = false. That's why the first step is to eliminate the random god. After that, it doesn't matter who you ask--truth or false, they'll answer your question the same way, much like the classic bridge riddle.

Two anons get together one day to eat. One of them asks the other if he has any seacats, and he replies to him, saying he has three of them. He also mentions that their ages multiplied together are 36, and their ages added together are equal to the number of windows of a nearby building. The first anon attempts to solve the problem, but he gets stuck, and says he needs more info.
*The second anon tells him that the oldest cat has blue eyes, and the keen anon instantly solves the problem.
What are the ages of the three seacats?

I came up with a simple riddle to share with everyone.

If Hachijo Toya was to pick a number, what number would he pick?
