I'm going to be really blunt here. It feels like you gave up at the end on the game. When I pulled out the list, it just looks like you stopped thinking.

In regards to your first attempt: You only had 2 culprits, and I know I told you that all 3 culprits killed at some point. Also Jessica's motive does not that connect to Maria, which is should, since you said she was the target.

Problems with the 2nd try, are: First of all I had Bernkastel tell you that your choices of culprits was partly wrong, and motives were wrong. Yet, you seemed to ignore that, since you put the same three people in. And kept Shannon's motive. In hindsight this is probably my fault, I should have said that all motives were wrong.

My second problem with it, is that I told you in stream that all 3 culprits have different motives. And you even told me you expected that saying 'rosa hard modo.'

Yet, you copied motives, Shannon and Battler, at there core their motives are the same; Love.

Yeah, the problem is that at that point I had already denied everything else in my mind, probably Ozaki can testify how much I used to bother him to start monologing and discussing with myself from his msn window.
Lion culprit theory was of course one of the strongest theories I had at a certain time, I even tried to interpret the scene again but I again denied it by myself by finding evidence against it.
Anyways, there's no way to deny my incompetence, that's the real reason of why I losed, and I think I already accepted it.

I don't doubt that. I'm sure you tried really really hard. The problem lies with the trap. It is a very perfectly smooth trap, and it ensnared you, so much so that you couldn't remove the Shannon culprit idea. And thus kept using strange targets. While, blocking out the idea that Shannon might be the target. If George was the target, he should already have been dead at the first twilight. Since the culprits want to kill the target, so they aren't going to waste time knocking them out.

I did somewhat the same thing with GE's game. When I saw the breakthrough with Kinzo my mind shut down, and I got stuck on Kinzo culprit, and lost because of it.

Don't worry Anon, everyone makes mistakes. The trap did exactly what it was supposed to do. Those kind of things, when done right are very hard to get by.

Rosa and Battler were the trap culprits in my fanep, and we got stuck on them for a while, so it just proves, I can create good traps I guess. That pleases me.

But at least let me explain what did exactly got me tricked:

First than nothing, I took seriously the extra red text you gave me with my third token, and when I asked you about it you casually mentioned you forgot about it and you made a simple change in what did I see with that teleport.
Now this wasy change was probably a good hint than that red could be easily evaded, but since I know you have had problems with logic errors in the past I didn't want to pressure you, so I tried to ignore that detail.
About the target, well you choose the most obvious target, as you did for the most obvious culprit in the past game so I didn't wanted to choose it, but what really made me not choose Shannon as the target was Battler act all the game, I just could not see it that way.

In a game where their is more then one culprit it has to some effect of making the opponent re-think everything and doubt his own deductions. Anon(being unsure of his answer in the first place) completely changed it once the list came out. I had the same feeling during your fangame.

Well, about that red, yeah you took it really serious and took it as it stood. Which was probably do the fact the game took so long that you forgot about stuff in the beginning. I even forgot some of them, so rereading my notebook full of the information about this game has been an interesting experience. Which reminds me, I hope you'll enjoy the epilogue, which if all goes well will be up on Wednesday.

About Battler, he develops the motive after the 2nd twilight. Battler slowly does a subtle change in how he acts to Shannon after that twilight. It is hard to notice unless you compare how he acts before to what he does at that point. For example, when Shannon breaks down crying at Kumasawa's death, he does not even comfort her. And then at Rosa's death, when Battler is in tears, she tries to help him, but he shrugs her off and ignores her.

Blame Genji, he was the one who said I made that clear enough and didn't need to bring it up a third time.

Okay, okay! You don't have to worry about that though, this game isn't like that. There is no main detective. And also you won't be going at it alone (well shouldn't be) for this will be the style of game that will encourage players to pool together their thoughts.

It will be a lot like Kinjo's third game, and then also not like it in some ways. For rather than tons of choices each chapter will have 2-4 different routes the player can take which give some different information.

Like Kinjo's game, the choices will be set in stone. (Sure one can go and delete the save file and redo the whole thing, but an honorable player wouldn't) And since it isn't some crazy wordplay trick answer, you shouldn't even need all the info from all routes to get the answer.

As you can already guess this will be a VN style game. What I plan on doing is releasing it in chapters, with a chapter coming out each week. Which allows all the players to talk and discuss what they learned in each chapter week after week.

Each chapter would be about 30 min length. With the whole story probably being about 8-10 chapters longs.

Well that is my present thoughts about it at least.
