>K I also thought about wether the name of the Siesta sisters had it’s origin in the number 6. Is it?

>R That thought is quite intersting, but if I would have to answer that honestly, it comes from the Chester in Winchester. That’s why the name Siesta really doesn’t begin with an S but a C. If you enter an I into the word Chester you get Chiester. And isn’t it fascinating how even a gun can become a bunny if you put love into it (= 愛 (love) is read Ai in Japanese).

That was too painful to read!

Oh, right. The Culprit Battler Theory was kind of popular, but I don't remember too much about it.

It would explain why he ended up in the latest installment of Ougon.

How long without a real post of Piece Battler in this humble board? ... I have no idea.
>>31514
I think it was one of the silly theories that were born in the question arcs. "The detective is the culprit etc".
Funny that other theory of those times was "Battler killed everyone but now has insomnia, and he fights to remember the truth."

Shannon died face down, slumped over the makeup cabinet. It’s a really simple trick. You tie the weapon to a heavy object with a string, then you throw the heavy object behind the cabinet. And then it’s the classic trick, when you commit suicide, the gun is pulled behind the cabinet towards the heavy object.

Damnit, I see what you mean, Piece. I would have never have guessed this. But it does makes some sense...

And during EP4 the same trick was used to drop the weapon into the well in the end. Because of the image of well=trashcan, I imagined that everybody would find it easy to get that trick.

I... forgot about that. I thought the well was sealed though...

>George’s idea of their future after marriage might have put severe pressure on Shannon

>K I thought about this just now when we were discussing the events in Natsuhi’s room, but would the piece Shannon really be able to kill George? That is something that really bugs me.

>R While the body is Shannon, it’s worth thinking about whose body this was originally. Because in the end it is just a question of software. Even though the clothes belong to Shannon, if what’s within is another being then that person would surely be able to kill George. Clothes are not a personality. And so, even though the cloths and the hairdo might be Shannon’s, but there is the possibility that it was another person, when she started asking questions about George.

DID HE JUST ADMIT TO SHKANNONTRICE RIGHT HERE!? HE MIGHT AS WELL HAVE!

I knew about the well thing, but really only because someone mentioned the possibility once. Apparently, the same kind of tricks were used in And Then There Were None. But I was drawn to Umineko for its involvement in logic, I know nothing about golden age mystery. I see he notes a lot of his audience doesn't.

Also, I'm more surprised about the other things he reveals than Shkanontrice. Since it's probably impossible for anyone to read the whole thing without knowing at least that.

That's not what I meant.
This is the last guy, the word of God, that he would actually openly admit to his trick due to "lol, figure it out yourself" all the damn time.
But he might as well be wearing a shirt saying "Shannontrice" on it the way he worded that in the interview.

Moreover, I still think the personality thing is a bit cheap. Cheap, in a way, that seems to really bend his own rules that he sets out.

In addition, I had no idea she needed to shoot them in the head first so she could drive the stake in. But that does answer how the stake could be driven into a skull.

You didn't know that? I think it's been standard theorizing for a while that stakes are just driven into gunshot wounds.

As for the concealing of weapons, I knew a method like that could be used, but at the same time I didn't conceive that it would be used to hide weapons in a different location in the same room. So I too willingly took the basis that the room was a perfectly closed room and that Battler investigated it to mean that there weren't any weapons hidden.

Feh, more like "staking-shooting gun" was thrown around as an actual weapon. This is more believable though.

We all trusted Battler's view as perfection. Guess the jokes on us. Though I'll still blame F07 or the lack of hints.

I think there were probably enough hints. The stakes driven into heads means the culprit shot them with a gun. The stake not driven into Shannon's means she was the last to die. The fact that the key and the master keys were accounted for should say that the room is closed. Unless Shannon was able to perform several actions simultaneously as she died, or unless they all died in some kind of perfect pattern which pulled of an otherwise inconceivable feat, it stands to reason that there was a weapon concealed in the room. This weapon would have needed to be hidden from view, and if you can reason that Shannon was the culprit, you can reason that it's the behind the dresser her body is described to lay on.

That's really the version of events that makes the most sense. Solving this room gets quite messy without that, like claiming that since Shannon's face is so blood-spattered it could have been someone else's corpse disguised at her, or claiming that Genji was involved and managed to whisk away all the weapons before being locked out of the room by someone already dying from a gunshot.

I don't think he meant that by answer, really, because it's less important than Shkanontrice is. He basically does give out the core of the mystery in that interview.

If you look at the Eva diary reading scene in the script file, by the way, there are two images that aren't shown because they've been turned into comments. They make it even more obvious.
