Alright, this is going to be a long post. This is definitely the best anime I've seen in a long time. The story is about time travel, which I think is an awesome concept. The characters are all loveable and interesting. And the excellent animation and intense soundtrack (especially the ED) make it just plain enjoyable to watch.
I've seen everything up to the most recent episode, so beware of spoilers.
First off, Houhouin Kyouma. What an awesome character. His attitude, his crazy laugh, even his voice is just too awesome for one character. I really like the "mad scientist" personality of his, as it really adds to the humor of the show (talking on the phone when it's turned off, etc).
Daru is awesome too. He's a stereotypical fat perverted otaku who posts on 2chan. But he knows what he's doing. Definitely makes the show a lot funnier and a lot more relatable to the otaku audience, like in Chaos;Head. I kind of guessed he was Suzuha's father once Mayuri mentioned it, but it was still pretty shocking. Makes sense why he was able to repair the time machine so easily.
Kurisu. My favorite among the girls. She's smart, tsundere, and sometimes she can act cute. Too bad she hasn't had her own 'arc' yet, but maybe she'll send a D-mail (I love that name by the way) in the future that'll have to be resolved somehow.
Mayuri. I thought she was pretty cute with the "tuturuu~" thing, but when she gets shot at the end of Episode 12 it really hit me hard. The completely innocent, childish girl kept dying over and over. It felt like Higurashi fot a bit, especially when people started remembering the past timelines. I just hope they don't use a cop-out explanation for that like Ryu did.
Suzuha. Interesting character. I knew something was weird when she didn't like Kurisu. I thought maybe, at some point Kurisu joins SERN and Suzuha used the Time Leap thing to warn Kyouma about it, but it turns out she was John Titor. Really didn't see it coming actually. This also means she was the John Titor from 2000, right? Anyway, I noticed what might be a plot hole here. Suzuha eventually died after failing her mission, right? Couldn't Kyouma just Time Leap back to before Suzuha used the time machine and tell her that she's going to fail, and to try and prevent that? I guess negating the D-mail where Kyouma followed her kind of did the same thing but at least she wouldn't have had to write that depressing note.
Ruka. I'm really just curious how he became so much like a 'she' in the first place. That was never really explained, I guess it was genetics or something? Anyway the date episode seemed kinda pointless and dragged on, but I noticed a plot hole here, I think. Ruka said she broke the computer when cleaning the storehouse. If the computer was their goal, why couldn't Kyouma just send a D-mail saying "Don't clean the storehouse" or something, and still keep Ruka as a girl?
Feyris. She's alright. Found her subplot with those gangsters a little boring, but the D-mail she sent was really interesting. Choose between Mayuri's life or Feyris's father's life. I felt pretty bad for her but as long as she can remember her dad in that one timeline I guess it's okay.
Moeka. I really hate her. I thought she was suspicious in the beginning. In fact I suspected her of being a time traveler, not necessarily John Titor. But I can't really forgive her for killing Mayuri in those other timelines. Finding out she worked for SERN was pretty shocking though.
Anyway, rankings: Kurisu > Mayuri > Suzuha > Ruka = Feyris > Moeka
As for FB... the only thing that comes to mind is FaceBook. Realistically speaking that's probably not it, but you never know what kind of twist this anime is going to pull on you next.
All in all, I loved it. There's no way I'm waiting for the VN translation now. I've got to see the rest of it.
