20 sit-ups, 15 press-ups, 50 repetitions of 4kg dumbbells with each arm, and various stretches twice (or as many as four times if I get bored) a day, in the morning and at night.
It's not really that much, but I haven't done any kind of physical exercise in years, so my muscles are screaming at me to stop torturing them like this. But I need to get back into shape, or at least put on some weight, because as it is I'm only getting thinner by the day.

>Your metabolism is probably quite slow.
I highly doubt that's the case. I used to have a healthy weight back in primary school, but around the time I entered high school I started losing weight no matter what I did. I used to eat a fair bit (3 meals a day + junk food all the time), and still didn't put on any weight at all. In other words it's not just because I'm not eating very often, it's that even when I do stuff myself I still don't put on weight.

Sachi is perfect. Touka is fun, but she can get pretty irritating. Natsumi is... okay, but any scenes centered on her aren't exactly the most "well-written" of the thing, so I'm having a hard time doing anything but laughing at the sheer awkwardness of it.

Yeah, I know how that feels.
When I get like that I feel like there's nothing to do, but I really want to do something, and yet despite there being nothing I don't really want to go to bed (just yet), and even though anything would be more interesting or amusing all the "somethings" I can think of turn into "nothings" when I realize those somethings weren't really somethings at all, but were really just a bunch of nothings on par with staring at the wall blankly or carrying a meaningless conversation with anybody (or nobody) in particular, and then any of the anythings I can think of turn out to be somethings that are really just a bunch of nothings not worth actually doing (and yet I often find myself doing them anyway).

Do you get what I mean?

Why, the whole world is a comedy act, so it's only natural of course. It is the duty of society to raise the greatest performing clowns, in the hope that one day they may change class to Jester in preparation for their becoming a Sage and battling the Demon King Z*ma to return peace to the world.

...Hmm. That second half doesn't actually sound as comedic as the first. I guess it's a tragicomedy instead, then. Like a stand-up comedian act except the comedian is poor at telling jokes, so it becomes quite tragic to watch.
Something like that, at least.

I remember feeling the same way. Johan has a rather persuasive viewpoint, after all. In the end though, it was neither Johan's nor Tenma's ideologies which won me over - but Grimmer's instead. Probably because I've been exactly as he was for the longest time now, but I felt a connection to his way of life and realized - that way of living is probably best for someone like me, after all.
I can still see where Johan was coming from; the logic behind Tenma's reasoning; and even Lunge's steadfast determination; however Grimmer's way of life simply made the most sense to me of all of them. There are things people can do and things they can't, but the one thing all people should be capable of is wearing a smile no matter what happens.

At least, that's what I took from the whole thing anyway.

Grimmer was probably favorite character for most people, however I'm still in Lunge boyfan club.

I love the way he moves his hand as if typing information into his brain.

I'm not that far in (just finished episode 13). I'll be sure to pay close attention to that character though.

In regards to Johan though.. His charisma, the way he uses people etc. just seems right.. It just feels like it would be the best mindset to adopt if you really wanted to be successful in life.

I never really liked Lunge at first, since he just seemed like a stubborn and persistent guy who was being led around in circles by Johan all the time.
Then when it went in-depth about his family life, his puzzle-solving methods he used on the job, and his reasons for being the way he is, I gradually started liking him more and more. I realized that it wasn't so much that he was being "led around" by someone else, but rather that he was just completely confident in his own abilities as an investigator. And then it was this scene right here that won me over in the end, with the last few episodes putting him all the way up to "Bro-tier."

I know exactly what you mean there. There were times I couldn't even continue to think of him as simply a "sociopath," if only mainly because of how successful he seemed to be at... well, life, I guess. He was always able to act so smooth with people, always managed to maker the most logical decisions that would benefit himself the most.
Not so much a "killer," most of the time I could only think of him as a "survivor."

Of course but that's also what is so great about it. From what I've seen thus far, if it's of any profit to him, he can easily take a life without a second thought.

He could be a murderer or a window-washer, it wouldn't really change how impressive he was in any way at all.

The movies weren't half bad, actually. I should really get around to reading some of his novels sometime.

Mmm, it's 13:00 and I've been talking to myself since the little comedy routine earlier. Such a slow day today.

I'd lend you mine, but distance, postage, etc.

Also I'd need them back. All 40+ books.

“And you, kid. Who are you? Haven't seen you around here before."

He looked over to me, probably examining how I fit into this situation.

I guess since I'm in front of his shop, I should make an attempt to show some courtesy.

The guy scratches his stubbled chin, waiting for an answer.

“Huh?"

“Um, my name is David Knights. Who are you?"

Suddenly, a shimmer can be seen in his eyes.

“Oh-boy, you done it now child."
“Brace yourself!"

The two stepped back for a moment.

I also take a slight step back, readying myself for what the baker was about to do.

"Me? My name?! All these things such as self is useless in the eyes of the universe! Can you not see that all of man is one? Naming one another is an act of vanity and unnecessity that existence forces upon the human race! My name is your name! Your name is my name! And both of our names are everyone's name! And yet there is no name for any of us since we all posses the same name. This name is existence itself! Can't you see? We are no different than
the grass or trees or rocks or stars or bread or paints or ovens or clothes or any other entities out there! We are existence and existence is us! Meaning even we are the universe! We are the vastness of space! We are the
nothingness, the stars, and even the dead! We are the everything! And we are the nothing! Therefore, we have no name!

But if you need to ask, it's John. John Smith."

... then what was the point in telling me all of that?!

There are that many?! Ah well, not to worry about the postage costs. I'll simply wait until you move in with Lili, then you'll be within distance that a simple trip to visit would enable me to borrow perhaps a fraction of what I now assume to be a considerably sized library of fantasy novels.

I have to admit, that was pretty good. Hit the nail square on the head, as it were.
How's it shaping up so far, anyhow? Everything seems to be going quite well from what I can gather.
