"That thing told us to call it if we want to kill. But what if we just have a question...?" Kizami looks around his room then talks out loud near the monitor, no longer to himself.

"Mr Monozaki, I have a question: what happens if a participant is killed by another participant in self defense? Does that count as murder?"

Kizami waits for a bit to see if the bear graces him with his appearance and reply.

"Good question. For now let's say it would. I don't want to waste a corpse after all."

"I see." Mutters Kizami. He decides to head to the cafeteria for the time being to grab something to eat.

You grab some of the buffet and eat.

Kizami attempts to strike a conversation.

"Hello, Miss Aurora, if you don't me calling you that? What do you make of Monozaki's announcement?

Do you think anyone will attempt a murder with no visible way out of this? It seems hard to believe since that's about our only motive at this point in time, but I wager that he might try something if nobody makes a move, which means that we need to think of a plan of action before that happens."

Aurora smiles. "I don't mind what you call me, as long as you're nice about it. As for the announcement? I don't make much of anything of it. Like you say, I'm not all that worried that we'll start popping off and murdering people."

She takes her last bite of salad, then stretches. "I mean, aside from the fact that we're in a place we don't know with a bunch of strangers, this is a pretty comfortable location. I'm planning on continuing to look around, see what there is to see. Just because all the bear's totems have been found doesn't mean we've seen it all, after all. Maybe there's a way out he doesn't know about or hasn't thought of."

Kizami smiles in turn. He is about done with his food as well.

"Well then..." He feels around his pocket for the paperclips he borrowed earlier.

"Time to see if my lock picking skills are any good."

He heads towards the two locked rooms in the basement of the Moonlight Building. Once there, he will attempt to pick the lock of the door closest to the library, then the one next to it.

You attempt the pick the looks but to no avail. Perhaps they are too new or your skills just aren't good enough yet. Eitherway it doesn't seem like they are going to open for now. You break half of your paperclips.

"Bummer..." Mumbles Kizami. "But maybe I need to level up my skills a bit first."

Kizami heads to the Guest Room Building second floor. Then if nobody is there to see him as he does it, he attempts to pick the lock of room number 12.

After heading out of the basement in the Moonlight Building you turn the corner and see Sugimoto Nao who in turn sees you.

Kizami smiles.

"Ah, Mr Sugimoto. How goes the exploration? There's a library down in the basement and two locked rooms. I have a feeling they may lead somewhere interesting, but alas..."

"Two locked rooms huh?" Nao motions to the movie listings with his thumb. "I was thinking about catching a movie to get into the theater. It is 5MC per ticket. What you do think? Worth it?"

"Actually, if you are ready to spend 5 monocoins, I have an alternate offer for you."

Kizami produces a key from his pocket and shows it to Nao.

"What do you think? I have a feeling it may be useful to you somewhere down in the basement."

He then holds out the coins, but is clearly waiting to make sure you hold up your end of the bargain.

You do think you learned something however. The rooms in this building have rather sophisticated locks. It is likely you will never be able to pick these ones. You break the rest of your paperclips picks.

After thinking for a bit, Kizami mumbles to himself: "Well, now's as good a time as any."

He exits his room and approaches the reception desk on the first floor. He refills his paperclips supply from the basket, then proceeds to the coffee shop in the Sunshine Building.

His goal is to try and stock up on some snacks like several bags of chips and some bottled water. Food that will not easily spoil and can last him for a day or two in case of an emergency.

Before carrying all of that back to his room though, he will attempt to lockpick the staff room inside the coffee shop, assuming nobody is there to see him do it.

You restock your paperclips and head to the Sunshine Building.

When you enter the coffee shop you notice Gachari Taku is sitting in one of his chairs playing on his phones. He doesn't look up so you are unsure he is even paying attention to you.

You find some lukewarm bottled water and take the three. There is nothing like bagged chips, but there are some scones and dessert like items. Although they probably would go stale after a day or two.

They don't fit in your pocket so you use both hands to carry them.

Kizami looks somewhat disappointed. Still, the mission is a partial success.

He grabs a couple packaged (or not packaged, if unavailable) dessert items of any sort (going stale is not the same as spoiling) along with the water bottles and then heads back to his room to deposit the goods.

Hope's Peak Academy. The name kept appearing in his mind. But he wasn't sure why exactly. All he knew was that he had something to do with it. Yet try as he might, he could not remember.

The documents from the library came into memory. "Hope... Murder... Pineapple..." He couldn't make much sense of it. Kizami sighed again and plopped himself back on his bed, hoping sleep would come to him.

Andy, Nao, and Hadaka left the cafeteria a bit before you, after the three girls had left. You leave the room and see Kai guarding the meditation room, likely to keep any boys out.

You head over to the Moonlight building and enter the rock climbing room. You have the whole place to yourself. You hook yourself up to a harness and have a fairly good work out. Certainly got the heart pumping.

At the top of one of the courses you find some Monocoins.

Next, Kizami decides to head to the staff room in the coffee shop. Even if somebody is present there, he will openly attempt to lockpick the door.

You notice Gachari back in his chair once you arrive, still unsure he will even notice.

You attempt to lock pick the door... and you hear a satisfying click. Maybe the lock was weaker, or perhaps you are getting better. Who knows!

Inside the room there are a number of lockers along the walls, and tables with chairs surrounding it. There are some boxes in the corner with stacks of spare cups and other good used in the coffee shop. There is also a computer although considering what you have heard so far you won't be able to use it to contact anyone. Finally there is a small kitchen with your typical fridge, trash, sink, dishwasher, microwave, and cabinets.

Kizami checks to see if there's anything interesting in the lockers (providing they aren't locked.) If they are locked, he checks to see if there are signs of any of the locks having been tempered with. He also takes a look in the cabinets.

The body is lying face up with his legs slightly sprawled out as if he fell over backwards. Around the head area the grass is dyed with blood as it seems to have poured out the back of the head. Closer inspection of the head shows that he has a decent sized indent at the very top of his head that has broken the skin and skull inwards. There doesn’t seem to be any other important injuries on the body.

You notice a woven string made from plant material. It seems to be a support line for the gazebo and is loosely wrapped around his hand. You find nothing on his person, since after all, he is naked.

Kizami examines the immediate surrounding area. What kind of gazebo materials are scattered about? Are there any heavy objects lying around? Are there any other traces of blood nearby?

Around the immediate area you notice a few things.

There is the gazebo of course which you haven't really looked at. There is a number of extra logs stacked a little while away from it.

There are few handmade tools like sharpened wooden spears apparently used for fishing since you see a single fish with a hole in it right next to it. There are some baskets beside that that which have been woven similar to the ropes that are filled with blackberries. Near the body is also a partially eaten sandwich. Looks like a nice BLT.

Finally you do notice a few splats of blood here around the area but they don't have a pattern you can really get anything out of it.

You take a look at the so called gazebo that Hadaka said he was working on. Although it ultimately was left unfinished it is rather well made. It is missing the roof portion which you see next to the structure. It is unfinished and made out of more leaf like branches overlapping one another to reflect rain.

For the main part of the gazebo there are four logs embedded into the ground that have been stripped so they are more smooth. There is a square base for the roof to rest on at the top attached with woven rope to each log (the square on the map). High up near the top of each log are some notches that you assume would be used to tie the roof and logs together and nail the rope into the ground like a tent cover. There are three other woven ropes here as well that match the one near the body.

The logs are the same type of wood used to make the gazebo and have also had their bark stripped. However you find no blood on them.

As you walk by the stream you see some nice little fishes.

You also happen to notice what looks like some sort of tool in the water. It appears to be a stone axe. It looks rather well made with some woven string wrapping the stone which has been fitted into a hole made in the wooden handle.

Kizami sprays some luminol on the axe examines the axe a bit more closely, hoping against hope to find any traces of blood or other clues of it having been used recently.

Afterwards, he heads to the man-cave.

The drenched axe does seem well used based on the how some of the handle is worn. You don't notice any blood.

You head through the bushes and forest to the very back of the room where you find the entrance to the cave. There you can see it goes downwards a bit and turns the corner. It doesn't seem too dark however so you take a peak inside.

As you turn the corner you see a tiny wooden table on top of some tatami mats. There is a kettle and some cups. There is also a shitty looking tv. Oh and Monozaki is there slurping on some instant noodles.

Something tells you this cave doesn't have anything useful in it.

Kizami returns to the body and examines the wound again. Does it look like it might match the shape of the axe?

Hadaka is about average height. Nao and Kai would be still be taller where as someone like Seiko would barely be up to his belly button. And of course Aiko towers over everyone. Most of the others are similar height as you and Hadaka.

The panel appears like it can change the weather in the room. You see options like cloudy, hazy, windy, stormy, etc. However you notice it has a log of the past few days. It says it has remained on "Sunny with Slight Clouds" since you all got here on the first day.

The basket is full of blackberries. They look rather blackberrish. This of course is a weird statement since anyone who has eaten a blackberry knows once you bite into it or get the juice on your fingers it is actually more of a purple color. Of course this can be said for blueberries too since those are rather green on the inside but the outer layer is blue. It does make you wonder why strawberries aren't red berries then? Is raspberry red berry in another language and they just couldn't use it? I would google it but that would be too much effort for this bit.

Kizami purchases the black cloak for 50 MC. He deposits it in his room for the time being, then goes to the hardware store to buy a hammer for 50 MC. He will deposit the hammer in his room as well. All while trying to avoid being seen with these items.

If nobody stops Kizami, he will deposit his hammer in his room and then he will compact the receipt as much as he can before throwing it in the trash in his room(?)

Kizami inspects the body. Is it possible to determine the cause of death? Is there water in the lungs implying the victim was drowned? Are there marks on her neck implying she was strangled?

You go up to the body and take a look. Naturally since she was in the water her hair is wet and her towel is soaked. Her towel has slipped off slightly but remains on her person. You notice there is a slight brown discoloration on the towel. The body is still warm, but you know it hasn't been terribly long between exploration and freetime.

You don’t notice any immediate wounds. Investigating the body more closely you see that under her towel is a red rash going up her back and up to her neck that branches off randomly in a tree like pattern. You find yourself unable to search inside her lungs. There are no signs of strangulation.
