Torinn and Sureiya bring the griffon down near the Changing House--the massive temple bearing the mark of blue fire that serves as the city's center. Nearby is the skiff, which has quite a few people gathered around it, several of which appear to be priests from the Order of Blue Fire, including lady Kava. The attention of all of those gathered, though, including those on the skiff, has turned to you--the spectacle of a griffon landing is one that draws quite a bit of attention it seems.

Meanwhile, back at the earthmote, Myn, Samel, and "Bernkastel" finally reach the outskirts of the campsite. There appears to be a lot of activity in the camp, and no attention is focused on the group.

Seeing that they've drawn a fair amount of attention, Torinn figures now is as good a time as any to ask. "Excuse me, sirs, but which way is Tymanther from here?"

The group looks confused by the question, and it's lady Kava that answers simply, "Tymanther is about a thousand miles east of here." She seems a bit too confused by the question to elaborate on the point, and Torinn notices that the human male seems to be giving a few quiet directions to the tieflings.

"That's further off course than I thought," Torinn muses aloud. "What do you think we should do, Sureiya?"

Responding with a blank shrug, Myn asks the nearest campeasant as to where the remainder of the party has abandoned them to.

Myn questions a random elf, who directs him to Aghanim, who is waiting with the griffons. "Ah, good! The other two took one of the griffons and went on ahead," he informs the trio. He then casts a questioning gaze towards "Bernkastel."

The shaman then casts a questioning gaze towards Myn and Samel.

"We should steal the big boat."
"Maybe ask them if one of these ships is sailing near of Tymanther any soon?" says Sureiya, a little incredulous.

When Torinn speaks, the two tiefling wizards glance at each other. One shakes her head with a look of bemusement on her face, and the other faces the striking human male and comments, "Looks like the captain's done it again."

Smiling, and not facing the tiefling who made the comment, the human male steps forward and offers Torinn his hand, saying, "Captain Jorz Errowd of the Shield of Savras. My company and I were just headed that way, and I'm sure we could arrange something of that nature. No doubt this has something to do with the bit of commotion that's been stirred up in Tymanther recently?"

Torinn doesn't know what to make of the laughing wizards, so he ignores them. Instead, he returns Jorz Errowd's handshake with a firm, practiced grip. Not too enthusiastic, but still giving the vibe of somebody trustworthy, were Jorz the sort to read people by their handshakes.

"Torinn Torimine, and this is Sureiya," he replies, "And I'm afraid I haven't been to Tymanther in the longest time, so I don't know anything about current events. Has something happened?"

Please be good news...

"Apparently, there's been a dragon sighting," captain Errowd replies. "Or something like that. Frankly I think a dragon would have to be crazy to appear in Tymanther, but stranger things have happened! At any rate, I can certainly have your letter delivered--for a small fee, of course."

"Pity the dragon that got lost there, then," Torinn says with a grin. He takes out a sealed letter - penned during the night - and asks, "Will fifteen gold cover it?"

The captain chuckles a bit, then says, "My good friend, the services of a skyship are in quite high demand, you understand. We of the five companies own the only working vessels in all Faerun! One hundred gold pieces, sir."

Captain Errowd shakes his head in bemusement, then offers his palm and says, "All right, all right, I'll get your letter delivered to Djerad-Thymar, sixty-five gold pieces. Let's get this deal settled then, I do have some business to attend to here as well!"

With the letter thing solved, Sureiya questions the captain.
"Is any ship going to Baldur's Gate soon? I bet they are rather faster than our griffons."

The captain shakes his head and replies, "Can't say I have any plans to head back to the Sword Coast for some time, nope! I imagine this dragon business will create opportunities in the Tymanther region for some time!"

Completing his introductory gestures, Myn mounts one of the griffons.

"We should move with haste if we hope to catch up to the others."

With his business concluded, Torinn asks Sureiya, "Anything else you wanted to do here?"

"Let's wait for the rest. It will be safer that way. "

Torinn and Sureiya resolve to wait, while the other three pile on their griffons and start the flight. It's dusk when the three arrive, just managing to spot the three by the Changing House before the last lights of the day fade. After landing their trio of griffons, the group is now reunited: Torinn, Sureiya, Aghanim, Myn, "Bernkastel," and Samel.

With an apprehensive look, the ranger welcomes the party.
"It sure took you guys some time. Did you something there?"

The shaman seriously considers staying here forever, but after looking to her spirit companions, she eventually gives in to the ultimatum. She pulls out a scroll tube and holds it out to the group. "Well, okay. Here's a portal ritual I found, but I'll leave it to you guys to find directions."

Myn leads the group around while Aghanim watches the griffons, and they talk to seemingly every arcane spellcaster in the city. Unfortunately, most are far too inexperienced to know much about portal magic, and even the few learned ones they find offer no helpful information--none know a destination closer to the Sword Coast. Apparently travel between the Sword Coast and this region is a very rare thing.

Word-of-mouth carries the adventurers to the door of an inn-and-tavern called Finara’s. It is now well past sundown and it's probably a good time to check in. Entering the bottom level of the inn, which is comprised of a mostly-empty tavern, you spot an elderly woman sitting behind a desk, who would apparently be the proprietor of the inn.
