Long time everyone... All of you can kill me, I deserve... (I even didn't say "Happy Birthday" to Rosa-san. I'm so sorry for this. ;;)

Well... My question: How can I do a Umineko-like portrait? I request to a friend for draw a Umineko-like portrait. (It's a gift for another dear friend)
However, she doesn't know how to color on photoshop (like Genji did with Kinjo's portrait).

Can someone show me how to do this? I'm gonna be truly grateful!

If I would have to guess what Genji did. I would say he probably would select one area at a time and then change the coloring in that one area, repeat over and over and over again.

I used the select area tool, invert, desaturate, change color, photo filter, brightness/contrast, Hue/Saturate, Shadows/Highlights.

Thank you so much, Rosa-san! I've tried to do this by myself, but I guess I'm not a photoshop Master.
I talked to my friend, but she doesn't like painting on photoshop. She says that it's not romantic. So, she's going to use pencils etc.
However, thank you so much!

I didn't know you have the same photoshop power as Genji!
Well... My friend, due family and college problems, didn't do yet the draw. However, if you still want to help, I'm gonna talk to her.

Thanks a lot!

E-mail me if you want me to draw okay?
Oh, but know that I don't regularly check it and it might end up in spam so it's better to add me to MSN

Since I have already two threads asking for something, I'll use this one. (Since the subject is almost the same)

Can someone teach me how to color an Umineko PS3 Sprite? I tried what I knew in photoshop, but I failed.
I won't ask for someone paint for me, because would be very awkward ask all the time.

I want to paint some Bernkastel's Sprite to make a Henrica Le Blanche Sprites.

Can someone teach me, step by step, how to do this?

I think you'd have to ask Genji how to do that. That's way out of my league.

Thank you, Ash-kun, but I don't have a way to contact Genji-san.

And it would be very unpolite just to contact him to ask him help about photoshop. I admire him a lot, but I don't think this is a good first impression to give to someone.

Anyway, thank you a lot, again!

Here is what I did:

1. Take the 'Quick Select Tool'

2. Change the settings to 'add' and lower the brush size to about '10'

3. Select and highlight all of Bern's face and her bow. Shrink the brush size down to about 2 to get the small areas. If you select a wrong area, change to 'Subtract from section' and correct it.

4. Inverse the section

5. Click 'Replace Color' it is found in the 'Image' and then 'Adjustments'

6. Click on the top of Bern's Hair, and then set the Fuzziness to 200.

7. Set the Saturation to -100, and the Lightness to +100, don't touch the Hue.

8. Click 'Ok'

9. Now go and subtract the hair and the fluff by the arms.

10. Select 'Brightness and Contrast'

11. Click 'Use Legacy

12. Brightness 65, Contrast 25

13. Click 'Ok'

14. Repeat 12, but with Brightness at 0, and Contrast at 50

15. Deselect all

16. Select only the fluff on Bern's arms and the little under part of her dress.

17. Click 'Levels' it is found in 'Image' 'Adjustments'

18. Click the '255' change it to '235'

19. Click the '1.00' change it to '.25'

20. Click 'Ok'

21. Deselect

22. Select only the ribbon.

23. Click 'Black & White'

24. Click 'Ok'

25. Select 'Brightness and Contrast'

26. Set both values to 35.

27. Click 'Ok'

28. Deselect

29. Select only the pupils of Bern's eyes. (Or it is the iris..) Anyway select the colored part only.

30. Select 'Black & White'

31. Change the number under Megentas to '200'

32. Click 'Ok'

33. Select 'Photo Filter'

34. Select the filter 'Cyan'

35. Set density to '30'

36. Click 'Ok'

37. Repeat with the filter Violet

That's it.
