Welcome to my tea party!

I have opened this game to redeem myself! As such, I have given the game a fitting title!
My one and only opponent shall be Ozaki. For it was his game that I lost, so this is only fair treatment!

Ozaki shall move his piece using green text. His goal is to solve each murder, potentially stopping them from occurring. However, is such a thing humanly possible?

Finally, Ozaki is forbidden from killing any human being, and no human being may kill Ozaki.
Whether or not Ozaki is able to solve the mysteries depends on his actions during the game. As such, he may have more of an advantage taking one route as opposed to another. In either case, the mystery shall be fair enough to be solveable regardless of the route he takes.

The prize this time is the clearing of my name. After all, that was my punishment for losing last time...

Well, that's my prize. Should Ozaki win, my name will once again become something of his choosing.

...Spider Lily High.

This was the place Ozaki had recently been assigned to teach at. ...No, this was the place he had decided to teach at by his own accord.

Apparently there had been an opening in the spot for a science teacher. And having just gotten his degree, Ozaki couldn't have been more excited.

He quickly applied for the position to teach here, and he was also quickly accepted. He had spoken with a representative of the school a few weeks ago, and more recently he was informed via phone of his acceptance.

...October 4th, 1993, would be the starting point for Ozaki's career at Spider Lily High. He approached the building, taking glances at the happy, carefree children running around, and entered the main hall.

High school is an interesting time. It's a time where kids don't have to worry too much. Sure, there are some hard subjects here and there, but with friends, they're not very hard at all.
All of these kids had friends. Just by looking, one could tell that much. This was a truly happy school, and it made Ozaki happy to be selected for position of science teacher.

It's 7:30 AM. Ozaki had arrived here knowing that there is a staff meeting in the staff room at 8:00 AM sharp. What will he do?

The art room is devoid of any people.

It must be too early to be doing any art....

Inside are many desks, along with a wide array of arts and crafts supplies. Easels, paint sets, sculptures and sculpting tools can all be found in here. It even seems a few paintings drawn by the students are set aside for viewing.

The science lab also contains no students.

There are several large desks. Each desk has a faucet and bunsen burner attached. There are numerous cabinets, all clearly locked. According to the labels, each cabinet must contain some scientific equipment, whether it be for physics, biology, or chemistry class.

Several potted plants can be seen decorating the counter-tops as well. A skeleton dummy stands in the corner of the room.

Dozens of potted plants of various kinds sit along the counter-tops. Azalea, Thistle, Daffodil, Oleander, Petunia, Chrysanthemum... the labels each read different names, some so exotic that only a biology major could correctly identify them.

The skeleton dummy seems, to your knowledge of human anatomy, fairly accurate. However, it also seems as though it was broken and pieced back together. The damage to it seems negligible now, in any case.

This science lab is mostly the same.

However, this room lacks a skeleton dummy, and there seem to be even more cabinets in its place. A blackboard is also in the room, although there are still many plants as well as desks with faucets and bunsen burners nearby.

Upon entering the staff room, Ozaki saw a large group of adults gathered inside. They all turned to see him as he entered the room. A particularly rotund man then approached him.

"Oh, you must be Ozaki Toshio-san! Just in time for the staff meeting! Ohohohoho..."

The man laughs for a bit. After calming down, he continues.

"Pleased to meet you. You may call me the Headmaster, as I am the principal of Spider Lily High."

Another, significantly thinner man approaches Ozaki, introducing himself as well.

"I am the Vice Principal. Pleased to meet you. We sincerely hope you enjoy working as a science teacher at our school."

One by one, the other adults in the room began to introduce themselves to Ozaki.

"...I am Kanamori Yoshihito, prestigious homeroom teacher."

" Azami, Japanese teacher. Couldn't you tell by my clothing?"

"Renoir, art teacher. I'm also new here myself, so let's along, okay?"

"Shintani Nafumi, art teacher. Renoir is my understudy. But he knows enough to teach a few classes."

"Izanami, physical education teacher and coach of the undefeated track team!"

"Hameln, music teacher. My favorite instrument is the castanets!"

"And I am the the nurse of the infirmary. Just call me 'Nurse', if that's alright."

All of them bowed at the same time, politely smiling toward Ozaki.

"Well then! Now that you are all introduced, I have something to give you, Ozaki-san. This is your Teacher's Key. The Teacher's Key can lock and unlock any classroom's door in the school.

However, it cannot unlock every door. There are certain rooms which only have one key, such as the security room and the supplies room. There are not many, but all of those keys can be found in this box."

The Headmaster pointed to a box on a desk nearby, and opened it. Inside were several keys labeled appropriately.

"The Teacher's Key cannot open those rooms. When your class plan requires you to open one of those rooms, please ask for my permission before taking the key from this box. Of course, using another teacher's key without their permission is against school policy... Any questions?"

"Ohoho... You've seen that giant gate outside, haven't you? The security room opens and closes it. It automatically closes the gate at 11 PM each night, to preserve school security. During an emergency, it might be useful to go there.

As for the supplies room, a variety of materials are inside. Whether it's for science, art, PE, or drama, all materials are housed inside that room. If you have any creative ideas for class lessons, going to the supplies room might be helpful."

"I will be teaching homeroom in Class 3-A for the next twenty minutes. So please come back by 8:50. ...Naturally, you probably won't even teach science on the first day. It's best to get to know the students in each class before teaching them the subject material. That's how I became successful with my own classes."

Luckily, there is a clock in the library. It seems not every room has one.

It's 8:35 AM.

No students are inside, as this is currently homeroom time. Any student skipping class would surely get in trouble.

There are several large tables surrounded by chairs, in addition to the countless rows of bookshelves lining the walls. The vast amount of knowledge contained within this single room is staggering.

Soji Shimada, Edogawa Rampo, Seicho Matsumoto, Seishi Yokomizo, Akimitsu Takagi, Shizuko Natsuki...

They all seem to be Japanese writers. Probably a disappointment to any Western mystery fans.

Upon going to the infirmary, Ozaki sees the Nurse inside. She seems to be doing some paperwork at her desk. She fails to notice Ozaki's presence.

Out of the corner of his eye, Ozaki spots a doll in a red dress sitting on top of a medicine cabinet.

However, he decides it is best to head to Class 3-A, and he does so...

Ozaki arrived back at Kanamori's classroom. The students all seemed to be talking amongst themselves, as though there was nothing better to do...

After doing the usual homeroom routine, Kanamori made an additional announcement.

"...Class, I would like to introduce you to your new science teacher, Ozaki-sensei! Please treat him with utmost respect!"

The classroom quickly fell silent the moment Kanamori raised his voice. All of the students focused their attention to their new teacher, Ozaki-sensei.

"Good luck, Ozaki-san."

...But as soon as Kanamori left the room, Ozaki could hear the whispers of the various students.

"This is our replacement teacher?!"
"Doesn't he know what happened to the last one?!"
"I wonder if he'll be much better..."

Soon enough, the classroom began to erupt in an overwhelming amount of noise... No lesson could be taught with this many students talking.

I write my name on the board in the top corner and face the class. I raise my voice to the level Kanamori had done and talk to the students.

"Alright class, as Kanamori-sensei has said I am your new science teacher starting today. This is my first teaching job however I feel that with your help we can all get along, so lets work together alright?"

Continuing I add, "Alright so first thing is first, introductions. Starting from the back and going down each row I would like for you to introduce yourself. If you wish to add anything about yourself feel free to do so, or just your name will suffice."

The students all continued to talk amongst themselves, totally ignoring Ozaki's words. Some even began to throw paper airplanes across the room, while others threw their legs on their desk, falling asleep. One student even threw their pencil at the blackboard in protest.

While searching for 'that one good student', Ozaki lays his eyes upon a frail girl with glasses, who nervously replies.

"M-M-Moriya. I am... Moriya Marie."
One student spoke her introduction. The rest of the class quieted down to focus their attention on her.

"Kanamori-sensei is just a... popular teacher, that's all...... Nice to meet you, Ozaki-sensei. Welcome to Spider Lily High."

After this, each student began to introduce themselves to Ozaki in a similar fashion, one by one. He could now begin teaching.

However, there was one student who had decided to take a photograph of him, using an instant camera.

"...It's for the journalism club. I'll have to do an article on our new science teacher!"

Immediately after this exchange, the rest of the class follows suit, introducing themselves.

It seems Izanami got the class's attention for him.

One by one each student began telling Ozaki all about them and their hobbies. Izanami then left, smiling.

One of the boys had pushed a girl down, falling and hitting her head against a desk.

"Yeah, you feel like laughin' now?! Don't give me that shit, or I'll call you Captain Curry again!"

"S-s-sorry... Teh heh heh..."

"I said don't fuckin' laugh at me!"

He slammed his fist against her face. The crowd of students looking cheered him on as the girl hit the floor.

Ozaki's attempts to intervene did nothing. The crowd of students surrounded him, blocking him from doing anything. His voice couldn't even be heard over the cheers of the other students.

"Stop that!"

A single girl voiced her opinion amongst the crowd.

"Can't you see you're hurting her?! How inconsiderate can you be?!"

"Hey, you want some of this too?"

As the boy turned around, he noticed Ozaki standing there, and regained his composure.

"Well, sorry, but I think class is startin'. You the new teacher? Nice to meet'cha. I'm Yoshikawa Masaaki. That idiot over there is Captain Curry."

"Her name is Osumi Reiko! And I'm Sakaki Yukari..."

One by one, the rest of the students introduced themselves as well... It seems everyone has calmed down, quietly sitting in their seats.

"That's is close to something I was thinking at the time. When you say 'survival of the fittest' it was the term coined from Darwin's observations and theory of evolution. Over time only the animals best suited and those who adapted lived on. As you said, even us humans followed this same rule, with different series and sub breads dying off until one was left.

But that's the difference right there, to apply Darwin's theory to today is an outdated concept. We as humans have evolved and established culture, society, laws and regulations. With these we changed from mere savages to intelligent and beings with manners and opinions.

Of course, as you say 'Do I think playing god is fair?' the answer is obviously no, in the most literally terms however what do you call parenting? Or teaching for that matter? Isn't teaching a form of an Omnipotent creation? People raising other to their believes. In reality people play take the role of a semi-omnipotent being all the time.

In the end I understand what you are trying to say. However such methods will dissolve the society we have striven to crated. The idea of having one person to push all of the blame on to will eventually break, which will result in consequences. Taking revenge for instance. That individual breaks and then all the dominoes fall in turn. To teach such methods of taking anger out on a single person will cause this to be repeated for all of history. They will think such ways are fine, and with that goes society as well.

On the other hand if you were to abolish that kinda of thinking then all the dominoes would stand still and wouldn't have to fall. That way people would be more free to make the right choices and bullying would become a symbol for the weak. The way of 'nature' is an outdated flaw in humanity...

Oh seems I took this philosophical debate a bit too seriously. In any case I understand what you want from me, at the very least I will not allow violence while they are in my classroom. Just think of what could happen if we were running an chemical experiment?"
