First of all, I check my pockets to see what's in there or if I have any pocket at all.

I also check the backpack. I pick up some sand or dirt from the ground and put it in a space in the bag.

When i'm finished, I leave the note where I found it and go outside.

Suddenly the wind picks up and it feels as if you are being pushed off the ground by an earthquake. The sounds of several booms reverberate through the air, and upon turning around you can see that all of the tents are being blown apart by missiles! Small dents in the ground have taken their place. Surely anyone who was still sleeping would have been destroyed...

Looking above, you spot a giant helicopter patrolling the area. It's coming closer...! The helicopter dives downward, brushing near the ground past everyone, only to fly back up.

It turns around and again flies downward at high speed, this time crashing into the "Watch out for bears!" sign.

Looks like it made a small crater... Who's gonna go check it out?

Mion is stunned by the situation that just happened. She tells herself "Oh my god, I would have died for sure if I had overslept!"

She looks around to make sure that everyone is okay, and then inspects the situation near the crash site.

Upon the investigation of the scene, a small creatures pulls itself out of the wreckage, plopping back up in front of everyone.
That thing... it looks like a bear!!!

"Owowow, what a rough landing... And here I was trying to make a super-cool entrance...!"

The bear looks around a few times, scratching its head at the unresponsive crowd.

"What are you bastards staring at?! You act like you've never seen a talking bear before! ...Anyway, I should introduce myself. I'm Monobear, your camp leader! Nice to meet you!"

Mion is too shocked to say anything. She tries to rub her eyes multiple times to make sure that this isn't a dream. She ends up fixing the bear with a confused expression.

It seems a few others are as puzzled as you are.

Blue-haired girl: "I don't...huh?"

The man in the lawyer's suit: "That was quite the show. Is there anyway we can get you to take off the costume?"

Blake Roone: "Well... what the hell. What kind of joke is this? It talks? A talking bear toy, our camp leader?"

Monobear: "...Costume? Toy? I'm a bear, can't you see? Not a person in a bear outfit! What an insulting thing to say to your new camp leader..."

Lawyer: "*sigh* I'd rather not argue for now. I apologize. Now can we move on? We've been waiting for quite a while."

Blake Roone: "That's does NOT look like something a camp leader would do! Who are you really and what's your goal here?"
"My goal? You came here for murder mysteries, did you not?"

Rudolf approaches the bear and asks him the following questions:

He returns with a signpost and bulletin board, which he plants firmly into the ground. Monobear looks at the bulletin board, reading off the list of rules one by one:

1. The campers will live a communal lifestyle with no time limit inside the campground's walls.
2. The time between 10 PM and 7 AM is called “Night Time”. During Night Time there are places that are forbidden to enter, so please take care.
3. Sleeping is only permitted in the personal rooms prepared for you in the dormitory area. Anyone intentionally falling asleep elsewhere will be punished.
4. You may investigate the campground as you please. There are no special restrictions on your actions.
5. No violence is permitted against the camp leader, Monobear. Destruction of the surveillance cameras is forbidden.
6. A “culprit” who kills a fellow camper will graduate the camp. However, they must not let any other camper know they are the culprit.
7. Additional rules may be added by Monobear at any time.

Everyone turns their attention to the gigantic TV screens popping out of the ground, taller than even the trees... And just like that, Monobear disappeared into the forest.

The real game begins now. Who can you trust? Who will become a murderer? Will everyone live with hope or fall into despair?

"Well then, in light of these unusual circumstances...I think it would be for the best if we all make sure to stick together. That way, none of us can do anything without someone else noticing, thus stopping anyone from taking the chance to 'graduate'. This seems to be the best way to ensure that everyone survives this ordeal. ...What do you think, everyone?"

Lucas: "That's the most rationale thing I've heard all day. Perhaps we should all stick together while roaming the camp grounds for some insight to how desperate our situation is. I mean, can we really all live here forever? Do we have the supplies? I'm ready whenever everyone else is."

Kedgeworth: "..Right. So now we know who to look out for. Let's just head to the dormitory area."

Lucas: "Well, there is power in numbers. Anyone who feels the same can go, but we won't look out for you. Seeing as people are leaving, it may be wise to prepare a defensive strategy with the group we have left. Maybe we should head to the dormitory for supplies, and then reveal what we have. That seems like the safest bet instead of wandering around and investigating empty handed. What does everyone think?"

Rudolf: "The rooms. We all need to check our belongings. Might as well make an inventory list of all the things we have at our disposal. While we're at it, we can check all the room locks to make sure only a single key (our own) can open each room."

I agree with the group and decide to stay with them for the time being.

Rudolf does the same after inspecting his room:

Rudolf: "Not exactly everything I brought, though the dishes I certainly recall as having been mine."

According to data found in the cellphone its owner goes by the name of "Dark Kamijou."

...But there is something quite interesting that occurred to me just now. Victoria, would you mind if I asked you a question? It's about something that Mion-chan heard you say back before any of this started. She told me that you said something about the bears here being cute. ...Would you mind explaining what you meant by that statement? I really want to trust you, but I can't help but see that as slightly suspicious given that weird bear that appeared shortly afterwards. Furthermore, I haven't heard you speak a word this entire time. You have to admit that your actions are a little strange in this situation. Please, would you mind explaining yourself to us? We shouldn't hide anything from each other; it will only cause suspicion that will hurt the whole group later. If you did know something about that bear before the rest of us saw it, then I think we have a right to hear about it."

"Hey, that's right! I did not think much about it at the time, but I recall Victoria telling me something like that."

Lucas: "Wait one second Rika."

He quickly walks back to his room and returns with a manga in hand.

"Perhaps this belongs to her. I'm assuming, like you are. I just noticed something extremely eerie about the cover when I opened my box. The cute bear looks familiar, does it not? Perhaps she just saw a connection to the situation she was in?"

Blake: "That looks familiar. If I may?" He takes the pocketwatch from Rika.

Victoria: "Ah! Sorry, I was lost in looking at the scenery and enjoying it. Well, most bears are cute and cuddly. You see them at the zoo at stuff. I one time went to the zoo with Cade and Kari the people I live with, it was so much funny, the bears were running and playing, they even had these cute little cubs. I asked Kari if they were bigger versions of her own teddy bear, but she told me Mr. Bear was stuffed so he wasn't going to grow up to be like a bear cub. That was a little sad, I was hoping he would get bigger and we could play. But that bear, didn't look cute like the ones at the zoo, I'm sad. He should really take lessons from the bears at the zoo, they are much cuter.

And I do apologize for being silent, I've just been taking in this wonderful scenery, it is so much different than the city I live in. This is the first time I've ever been in a location like this.

That said, what was the bear talking about anyway? Graduating? That sounds silly. Why would you want to leave this wonderful place? It is so nice and beautiful, and life is so precious taking someone's is... that is... really cruel.

And those methods! Oh my goodness, how can someone talk like that! Oh hiding anything, as far as I know, no. I'm not holding anything in my pockets or anything, so I don't think so? But as people tell me I'm not the brightest lightbulb in my pack, which makes no sense to me since I'm not a lightbulb, am I? OH! Kazuichi: "Hey ladies! From the top, there are cameras and speakers in all the rooms, Monobear gets freaky when you fiddle with them.

I did a bit of tinkering with the windows, and they're really secure. Couldn't find a way to lock them without, well locking them. Also, I've got a picture of someone's boyfriend and a water purifier that don't belong to me in my room, and my fishing rod's missing. I'm more than happy to trade to get it back.

Finally, there's a scrap-yard of sorts to the north of here, from what I've learned. Whilst I won't go into anyone's rooms, I was wondering of one or both of you would mind scouting it out with me?"

I inspect the items and put the flashlight in my bag. I leave everything else in my room.

In Blake's room, Mion speaks

"Another knife! We should take this one too!"
After that, Mion makes a pause and changes of expression.
"Oh well, more importantly. Rika-san, I have something to ask."


Mion then makes a serious face and tells Rika.

"I want to work with you, I feel like you are one if not the only one I can trust here. I have been thinking about a plan, but I can't discuss about it now, since we are limited in time. Would you want to meet me tonight in my room or in yours, that way we can talk freely."

She takes a pause, and then adds

"I don't intend to kill anyone, but I won't let myself die in here. I'm sure we can make it if we work together. What do you think, Rika-san?"

After some walking you all arrive at what looks to be a giant junkyard. Mounds of trash everywhere, there is a single building amidst it all. There is a sign: "Garbage Disposal Facility".

Victoria: "This is not the beautiful scenery I had in mind. I should complain to the camp counselor."

Kazuichi: "... Huh. I was hoping for machine parts rather than plain garbage, but beggars can't be choosers."

You are greeted by a long hallway with poor lighting. Cold, metallic walls and floor surround you. There are several small dumpsters scattered about the hall as well, emitting a putrid, almost burnt odor as you walk by.

Victoria: "What an awful smell. This camp keeps getting worse and worse. I for sure won't recommend this camp to any of my friends anymore. They should have put more work into it. I'm going to give it a negative review now."

Kazuichi inspects the incinerator and then walks around to the generator.

Mion takes out her flashlight and follows behind Souda as he moves around to inspect the generator. She starts the flashlight and points at what he is looking/doing and checks it too.
She smiles and says

"This place could use more light and a cleaning,
did you find anything useful?"

The generator is connected to various turbines. It uses energy from the turbines to generate electrical power. Various wires are connected to the generator which extend through the walls of the building. Looking back on it, you saw these wires hung through the trees on your way here.

Victoria: "This place is really strange don't you think?"

Kazuichi: "... Somehow, I don't think there will be any visitors to the camp after us."

You use the flashlight to find some hammers, chisels, screwdrivers, lead pipes, and wrenches scattered along the floor.

Mion, still looking at Souda, answers Victoria.

" This is only a garbage facility, anything should be strange around here. But, look at these cables."
I point at the cables that leads outside.
"Do you think that this generator supplies the dorm too?"

The flashlight helps you notice that Souda picked up a wrench, screwdriver, and lead pipe before leaving.

However, as you keep your eyes on Souda you see someone else outside the building behind him: Ozaki.

Seeing Ozaki, I tell Victoria. I seem scared
"Huhhh, I don't like this place. I don't think we should stay here any longer. Let's go outside."

I rush outside, by the other entrance that Souda went. I keep track at Ozaki and Souda and be ready if they try anything.

Mion tries to regain her smile expression as she sees that Ozaki noticed them. She then makes a little laugh and wave at Ozaki.

Victoria: "Look at this Mion. This statue. It is Ozaki 2. Same coat even. I wonder if Ozaki knows about this. K, what a funny name. He must have done something great to get a statue. Or wait! OH NO! This could be. It must be. I saw it in one of Kari's books they tell history. Some creature who can turn people to stone. Poor K! He got turned to stone by a Medusa. Mion and I will avenge you K!"

Meanwhile Ozaki runs past Kazuichi into the building.

Mion closes her eyes and thinks for a while. Something seems to be bothering her.

She makes a serious face.
" Don't forget about the situation were in, Victoria. This isn't a normal camp, if you act like this is some sort of a joke something bad might happens to you. Oh god, I really wanted to leave this place."

She pauses, looks at Souda and then makes another little smile at Victoria.

" It looks like the them is now him. This statue is really strange, maybe Ozaki knows about it. Let's go see if we can catch him inside."

If she agrees I go by the same entrance I went earlier.

We go back inside to look for Ozaki. If we find him, I take out my flashlight and put it straight at him and like I did with Souda, I look at what he is doing, and what he has in his hands.

After that, put the light past him and says
"Oh there you are."

Mion shines her flashlight at what appears to be a person, but you soon realize it is Kirigiri standing silently by the wall. Kedgeworth is also nearby.

I speak to Kirigiri

"Oh hi, I'm sorry we were looking for Ozaki. Have you seen him?"

I try to sneak out while Victoria is looking at Kirigiri and heads to the generator room.

There if I see Ozaki I still do the flashlight check up.

Mions goes near the generator. She waves at Ozaki and says.
"Hey! Have you seen this too, it looks like some of the cables are leading outside. Do you think this generator is source of power of the dorm too?" She smiles and says "Troublesome situation, isn't it?"
