You wake up with a start. Those noisy cicadas must've done it, crying so loudly at this hour...
Where is this place? From what you can tell, you're inside a one-person camping tent. Oh, that's right, you decided to go to Camp Seacat after all...

But isn't it odd? You can't recall what happened once you got here.

In any case, there's no time to waste sitting around; a note found beside your sleeping bag tells you so:

"When you wake up, please meet your fellow campers at the waiting area outside your tent. We will begin the activities once everyone gathers, so please refrain from sleeping in!"

Well, what are you waiting for?

Might as well stop sleeping in. I haven't been in a tent before so that was... new.

I first check my tent to see if there's anything of use to get ready. I then depart to the waiting area.

The only things in the tent are a sleeping bag and the note you found.

You step outside through the bright sunlight into an area enclosed by trees. Nearby is a sign which reads "Watch out for bears!"
It seems the following people have already arrived:

*20 year-old girl dressed like a doll
*32 year-old man wearing a lab coat
*18 year-old man with purple hair and a matching scarf
*18 year-old girl with long green hair in a school uniform
*20 year-old man with black hair and green eyes

You should introduce yourself before the activities begin!

I walk towards the group with the ominous sign.

Hmm... I'm not sure this is the type of camp I signed up for.

I decide not to introduce myself right away despite a voice in my head telling me to do so, and rather see the rest introduce themselves first. Seeing as I can't remember much to begin with...

"Uh, hello everyone... "

You utter a quick 'hello' but it seems not to have caught much attention.

More people have arrived during your time waiting:

*24 year-old man with blond hair and glasses
*33 year-old man in a red suit fit for a lawyer
*19 year-old girl with long blue hair
*18 year-old man with pink hair and black hood
*18-year-old girl with light purple hair.

Someone new emerges from his tent.

"Hello, everyone. It certainly is nice to see that this camp will not be lacking constituents. When I signed up, I was afraid that a camp centered around mysteries wouldn't be very popular or well received. I'm Rudolf Ushiromiya, who might you all be?"

He later adds, " Did you all awake to find a note and that your belongings have gone missing? Or am I the victim of a theft?"

The grogginess of sleeping in a tent passes over me while listening to everyone, and decide to give a warmer introduction as I clear my throat.

"It's a pleasure to meet you all, my name's Lucas Richelieu, if you can pronounce it. I'm surprised by the turnout as well. It's good to see people still read newspapers nowadays, let alone mysteries. Anyway, I hope this summer will be memorable with you all, even though I'm still not sure entirely what we're doing yet."

Suddenly the wind picks up and it feels as if you are being pushed off the ground by an earthquake. The sounds of several booms reverberate through the air, and upon turning around you can see that all of the tents are being blown apart by missiles! Small dents in the ground have taken their place. Surely anyone who was still sleeping would have been destroyed...

Looking above, you spot a giant helicopter patrolling the area. It's coming closer...! The helicopter dives downward, brushing near the ground past everyone, only to fly back up.

It turns around and again flies downward at high speed, this time crashing into the "Watch out for bears!" sign.

Looks like it made a small crater... Who's gonna go check it out?

That thing... it looks like a bear!!!

The bear looks around a few times, scratching its head at the unresponsive crowd.

It seems a few others are as puzzled as you are.

Blue-haired girl: "I don't...huh?"

The man in the lawyer's suit: "That was quite the show. Is there anyway we can get you to take off the costume?"

Blake Roone: "Well... what the hell. What kind of joke is this? It talks? A talking bear toy, our camp leader?"

Monobear: "...Costume? Toy? I'm a bear, can't you see? Not a person in a bear outfit! What an insulting thing to say to your new camp leader..."

Lawyer: "*sigh* I'd rather not argue for now. I apologize. Now can we move on? We've been waiting for quite a while."

Blake Roone: "That's does NOT look like something a camp leader would do! Who are you really and what's your goal here?"
"My goal? You came here for murder mysteries, did you not?"

Rudolf approaches the bear and asks him the following questions:

>Why do we all seem to have amnesia about having checked in?
"Upupu, that's a good question.~"

>Why do we all lack our luggage?
"Oh, that! When you arrived I took it for you. You'll find it in your rooms later!"

>Why did you blow the tents to kingdom come?
"Because I'm a bear."

>Where had Mr. Goldbar gone?
"Mr. Goldbar? Who's that? ...This place belongs to me, and no one else! And as your camp leader I am obligated to tell you one important thing about your stay here. It's going to be forever! Well, there is one way out... But do you really want to know?"

"The one way to leave this campsite, the rite of passage... That is, the act of killing another person! Beatingstabbingclubbingbeheadingburningsuffocatingstranglingslaughteringvoodoocursing... The method doesn’t matter. 'Only a camper who kills someone can leave'. It’s a very simple rule. The most evil of actions leads to the best of outcomes. I hope you all cooperate."

Monobear walks back to his half-destroyed helicopter, apparently looking for something.

"Now then, there are some important rules you bastards need to follow. Take a look for yourselves!"

He returns with a signpost and bulletin board, which he plants firmly into the ground. Monobear looks at the bulletin board, reading off the list of rules one by one:

1. The campers will live a communal lifestyle with no time limit inside the campground's walls.
2. The time between 10 PM and 7 AM is called “Night Time”. During Night Time there are places that are forbidden to enter, so please take care.
3. Sleeping is only permitted in the personal rooms prepared for you in the dormitory area. Anyone intentionally falling asleep elsewhere will be punished.
4. You may investigate the campground as you please. There are no special restrictions on your actions.
5. No violence is permitted against the camp leader, Monobear. Destruction of the surveillance cameras is forbidden.
6. A “culprit” who kills a fellow camper will graduate the camp. However, they must not let any other camper know they are the culprit.
7. Additional rules may be added by Monobear at any time.

"There's a dormitory area nearby in which you'll be staying. Each of you has a room inside. The key is that Gold Card of yours, I believe you all received one...? No other key can open it! You can find the dormitory on the map on this bulletin board, but it is such a nice day, so you might want to look around first... "

The other players have all asked related questions:

>Blake Roone: "Yeah, no. I may like mysteries, but actually killing someone? Why the hell should anybody here go along with that?"
"Upupupu, it's your choice. But you're not leaving this place unless you choose to kill. You may not want to, but what about everyone else...? People can become such monsters in times likes these!"

>Blake Roone: "You don't get it, do you? What exactly is preventing us from simply taking our leave now? You come here and try to set up rules like you're in charge, but all I see is a tiny toy. You're not forcing anyone to stay here any longer than they want to."
"You say that with such confidence, but look around you... a vast forest with seemingly no way out, and even then... The walls!"

Looking up you can see extremely high walls rising above the treetops, as if built to keep out titans. It would definitely prevent any person from simply walking out...

>Kedgeworth: "..Ah. How very original. Again, I don't see any point in arguing. When will we find out which areas are forbidden to enter during Night Time? And what exactly do you mean by punished?"
"The dormitory's cafeteria is the only place off limits at night for now. And 'punished' means exactly what you think it means... Severe bodily harm if you refuse to follow the rules!"

Monobear: "Oh, look at the time, it's 10:00 AM! I'm a busy bear, so I must be on my way -- but one last thing! There's a special movie I want you all to see, so take a good look above! See you bastards later!"

Everyone turns their attention to the gigantic TV screens popping out of the ground, taller than even the trees... And just like that, Monobear disappeared into the forest.

The real game begins now. Who can you trust? Who will become a murderer? Will everyone live with hope or fall into despair?

....Welcome to Seacat Ronpa.

A sudden realization came over me.

Okay, I was complacent with the helicopter blowing up tents, even a talking bear... I'm on reality TV, right? But that gigantic television screen coming out of the ground... and the walls I never noticed.... This, is real? Isn't it? I'm pinching myself, but I'm not waking up. To kill a person? My life, for another? Is that really okay?

Of course... The Richelieu name won't end here, no matter the cost. And after I get out? I'll sue this place for whatever my government's worth. But I need proof of its existence to the world, if I flee this country. Though this is all wishful thinking granted I get out alive. Will people really try to kill me? I don't want to think about that yet. Now I really know I should of read that application closer...

I look around the group in a half daze, not sure of what to do next but to take the bear's advice.

"Th-that was something. Would anyone like to take a look around? Kedgeworth? Kirigiri? I have a feeling we're going to be here for a while."

As soon as Monobear leaves, the girl with blue hair turns to address everyone.

"Well then, in light of these unusual circumstances...I think it would be for the best if we all make sure to stick together. That way, none of us can do anything without someone else noticing, thus stopping anyone from taking the chance to 'graduate'. This seems to be the best way to ensure that everyone survives this ordeal. ...What do you think, everyone?"

Kirigiri nods in agreement.

Kedgeworth: "Alright with me."

Rudolf: "Hold on, missy. The problem is that I can't say for certainty that we're all in the same boat here. If this really is a controlled experiment, there must be certain elements placed to force us into suspicion. I'd expect that at least one of us here is not an innocent who was dragged into the ordeal. This person must be planted to plants the seeds of distrust in us and will likely be the first to strike. That said, I can't much trust any of you further than I could throw you."
Mion: "This is not the time to say things like that!! We have to stay together and find a way to get out of here without any of us doing such cruel things!"

Kirigiri: "Correct,Rudolf. Monobear would definitely have some kind of mole somewhere to help induce despair. You can never be sure. However...proper communication will be the key to our survival here.."

Kedgeworth: "Rudolf, I still don't see why that changes what Furudo said. I think we should stick together, at least for now. It's too early for anybody to try pulling something. And it'd probably be better if we could keep an eye on each other."

Rika: "Perhaps you are right, Rudolf-san, but there's no way that we can know that. Distrusting each other isn't going to help anything if we can't prove our suspicions. So, I feel that we should assume everyone to be trustworthy until we are given a solid reason to think otherwise. ...That's my view, anyway. Obviously we will need to keep a close eye on everyone regardless. ...Anyway, I agree with Lucas-san. We should investigate everywhere thoroughly before we make any firm decisions. Does anyone have any particular preference as to where they would like us to investigate first?"

"Well, there is power in numbers.

Anyone who feels the same can go, but we won't look out for you. Seeing as people are leaving, it may be wise to prepare a defensive strategy with the group we have left. Maybe we should head to the dormitory for supplies, and then reveal what we have.

Just in case anyone tries anything fancy in their rooms with what they brought with them, we should go in each room one by one, or at least stand in front of each other's open door at the very least. Though, I sincerely doubt anyone wants to hide anything at this point. I then recommend we should head to the cafeteria to see what we can grab. There is a piece of paper taped to the wall.

“An Announcement from Headmaster Monobear”

There is an anti-picking mechanism installed in the room’s locks. Duplicating the keys is difficult, so make sure you don’t lose yours. There is a shower installed in every room. Please note that during Night Time no water comes out. Additionally, only the shower rooms in girls’ rooms can be locked.

Finally, I have prepared a small present for you. In each room is a box containing five items. Those items are what you brought with you to the campsite. However, all of them were accidentally mixed together, and I had to sort them out by hand. Oops! This means you might not get what you originally brought! Perhaps that's not as good as I first thought. At least I have this knife, but who knows what other people brought to camp...

I walk back outside to see if anyone actually waited.

"I have a Mirror, a Dangan Ronpa Zero Manga, a knife, pen, and paper. Does this stuff sound familiar to anyone? It's not mine apparently. It seems Mr. Monobear swapped our stuff."

I show the group my inventory to prove I'm not lying.

Kedge: "Since the bear said that almost everyone asked for a pen, almost every room should have one. And even though they can be used as a weapon I doubt we can do anything to contain them. But we should keep the knife under surveillance the whole time. Should we check Kazuichi's room next?"

Rudolf: "We have to check mine next. Since clockwise and all."

On your way out Mion introduces herself to you. "Soo, did you retrieve everything that was missing in your room? Oh by the way, my name is Mion. It's good to have people like you around here."

"Alright, let's head there then."

I follow Rudolf to his room with the rest of the group.

>"Soo, did you retrieve everything that was missing in your room? Oh by the way, my name is Mion. It's good to have people like you around here."

"Yup. It's good to meet you Mion, but it's a shame we have to meet under these circumstances." I show Mion my inventory on the way over to the next room, and anyone else waiting.

"Hopefully we can get who owns what sorted out, along with each person wielding some sort of defensive tool as we investigate the campground to assess the situation. Though, it might be troublesome with those who split. All I know is that complete transparency is our only hope if we want to survive in this large of a group."

Rudolf does the same after inspecting his room:

1.Pen
2.Briefcase filled with stationary and journals
3.Cellphone
4.Camping dishes
5.A hand-crank generator

Rudolf: "Not exactly everything I brought, though the dishes I certainly recall as having been mine."

According to data found in the cellphone its owner goes by the name of "Dark Kamijou."

The journals in the briefcase are signed with Lucas's signature, so Rudolf returns them to you.

Rika: "Ah, now that you mention it, I think I did bring a pen and paper. I'll take those if you don't mind."

Rika scribbles the names of each item down on the paper.

Rika: "...Also, I'd like to point something out to anyone who's thinking of going off on their own. According to that bear's rules, a culprit can only leave if nobody realises that they are the culprit. ...In other words, they have to kill with no witnesses. Therefore, staying in a large group essentially makes it impossible for the culprit to act, because assaulting any member of the group will immediately alert the rest of us. Basically, the more you isolate yourself, the more you make yourself into a potential victim. Just saying~"

Rika then enters her room.

Kedgeworth: ""Apparently that isn't what some people think, Rika. Even though it's probably the most efficient way to not let anyone die. I don't really think there's any need to follow a specific order in checking rooms and that might prove to be difficult in the first place. It's not like the rooms are really far apart. So I'd rather check mine with the rest of you now so that I don't get suspected of hiding anything."

Kedge then leads the investigation to his own room.

Rudolf: "I assume I can leave you guys to making the inventory then? I'm starving and think I'd like to go to the cafeteria before they close tonight." He goes to the cafeteria.

Kedgeworth: "*sigh* Well, looks like I don't even have a pen to defend myself with. But here you go. I'm off to the cafeteria as well. Anyone's welcome to join."

Kedge shows you his items:

1. Bottled Water
2. Lighter fluid in a container
3. Bag of screws.
4. Cup noodles
5. A toy boat

He then places them back in the box.

I check to see if I'm still holding my items. If I am, I put the mirror, briefcase, and manga away in my room.

I guess I'll read this manga tonight in my room, never heard of it before...

"Not yet. I'll check it next."

You quickly place the stuff in your room. As return Rika comes out of her room with the following:

1. Canned Food
2. Zippo lighter
3. First Aid Kit
4. Compass
5. Pocketwatch

Rika: "Hm, I don't believe that any of these are mine...Although it could just be my amnesia acting up again. Anyway, none of this looks particularly dangerous, so you can all take whatever you want.

...But there is something quite interesting that occurred to me just now. Victoria, would you mind if I asked you a question? It's about something that Mion-chan heard you say back before any of this started. She told me that you said something about the bears here being cute. ...Would you mind explaining what you meant by that statement? I really want to trust you, but I can't help but see that as slightly suspicious given that weird bear that appeared shortly afterwards. Furthermore, I haven't heard you speak a word this entire time. You have to admit that your actions are a little strange in this situation. Please, would you mind explaining yourself to us? We shouldn't hide anything from each other; it will only cause suspicion that will hurt the whole group later. If you did know something about that bear before the rest of us saw it, then I think we have a right to hear about it."

"The first aid kit is mine, Rika. And... I think you're being a little paranoid. There was a sign clear as day saying watch out for bears. I think a lot of us wouldn't open our mouths given the traumatic situation we're in either.

We're all just hungry right about now."

Rika: "But you see, Lucas-san, the sign is part of what makes it so suspicious. The sign told us to watch out for bears. That would normally give the impression that the bears are dangerous and scary. To respond to that by describing the bears as "cute" is definitely strange, and it becomes especially suspicious when one considers the design of that bear toy that talked to us.

Furthermore...The sign on its own isn't sufficient justification for Victoria's statement. If she had said something like 'Oh, there are bears here? I bet they're really cute!', that would be understandable. But that's not what she said, not according to Mion-chan anyway. She said that "the bears are very cute". That definitely implies that she had actually seen these bears. You have to admit that her statement can hardly be considered normal.

...Don't get me wrong. I don't think that Victoria is necessarily untrustworthy. After all, if she really was in on this somehow, then she wouldn't have made such an obvious slip-up. But based on the evidence, it definitely seems likely that she does know something about this. I'm just asking her to tell us what she knows."

"My take, eh? I'm still as clueless as you are to be frank. This whole day has felt like a dream, but the more I think of it that way the more I realize our lives are actually in danger if I don't take precautions.

I mean those walls... Do you think that's something a normal studio production could have made? And those explosions... Didn't you feel the force of it? I'm pretty sure there were more campers in there... Or at least there were more tents than the one's that people came out of.

It just doesn't add up, whatever is behind this. Do you think our governments have forsaken us? Or worse... are running some sort of experiment? That's why if I manage to get out of here, I'm fleeing the country as soon as possible away from whatever disgusting atrocity is being set up. I feel lives have already been thrown away as expendables for nothing.

We need proof, Kedgeworth. Through the Human Rights Council, the International Criminal Court... Whatever it takes, But the world must know. Am I crazy for thinking this? I feel a little crazy."

Kedge: "I think you're right about our lives being in danger. This has to be some sort of sick experiment that a person with a lot of time and money came up with. It seems like they've taken a lot of precautions to stop us from leaving so far, so we can assume that they're smart enough to predict anything that we can do here. We can talk about what we're going to when we get out, when we get out. Because right now, I don't see a clear way out of this mess. We need to get our priorities straight.
I'm going to be completely honest with you here. I read a lot. And this kind of thing's become quite common in my head. And I tend to get carried away at times so when I woke up and heard about the rules, I was more than ready to 'graduate' But now I've come to my senses.
It's alright to think like that. I mean come on, I doubt many of us were expecting something like this and we're all pretty shook up. People have already started distrusting each other and that isn't a good sign. I don't see why they haven't thought of the obvious 'sticking together' strategy or if they have, why they feel like ignoring it.
But we can't do much about those people. Any ideas for now?"

From behind you and Kedge, Kirigiri finally decides to speak up.

"You don't seem to understand that Monobear's forte is psychological warfare. If you all refuse to kill each other and try grouping together, he'll subtly try to brew up a plan to have someone snap and want to kill. If you all decide to stick together, he'll exploit you all just as easily. Judging things by your own standards will just be foolish in this situation.."

Kirigiri startles me as I jump in my seat.

...just how long was she listening to our conversation? I can't help but to concede with what she says though after what we've been through.

After a bit of thinking, I respond.

"You have a really good point, Kirigiri. Also, as much as I was attempting to keep everyone together, the amount of time to contain everyone was just far too inefficient. A lost cause I suppose. But... what do you recommend instead when a murder happens and there's no one around to place the blame on a culprit? Every man and women for themselves? Smaller groups?

And you seem to know a lot about Mr. Monobear. At this point that's the last thing I want to question. I rather ask why you're helping us now?"

"Alright. So... do you two think it's inevitable then?

Someone's really going to kill someone and graduate? For me, I don't want to give up on our humanity just about yet. There's still a lot of day before the night falls when who knows what someone will do, but I don't think we've eliminated all our options until then.

Would you both like to explore the rest of the camp a little further like what was originally intended? If I recall correctly from the map, there are other buildings that are, at the moment, a little mysterious. Since we're in a group of three, one of us trying anything is exceedingly more difficult."

Blake enters the cafeteria. "Hello again. Took me a while to get done with my room. Does any of this belong to one of you? The sleeping bag is probably mine. I also found a knife, but that was promptly confiscated by two girls. Rika and Mion were their names, I think."

It seems you all have been debating where to go for the past hour in silence.

During your time waiting, Ozaki and Rudolf just managed to enter the cafeteria through the main door. Ozaki ignores you all and heads out the back door.

Kirigiri waits a few moments before following Ozaki out the back door, signaling for the rest of the guys to follow her.

It seems Ozaki is quite fast; you lose sight of him quickly. There is a split in the path. Up north appears to be a junkyard and west is a rose garden.

Kirigiri signals for Kedgeworth to follow her to the junkyard and for Blake and Lucas to go to the rose garden.

((Hopefully this post isn’t too late with character location…))

I wake up from my zombie-like trance, and don’t take the rose garden path.

Splitting off into two, eh? Just what do these people take a Richelieu for anyway? Not my thing, not my thing at all. And they're heading off into a junk yard? What? To gain an upper hand? Yeah, no. I know Kirigiri said sticking a whole group together only weakens us, but splitting off so one pair can gain an advantage only seems like suicide.
I'm not incompetent , of course there’s a high chance someone's going to kill another person. To think otherwise in this time would be naive. I was simply rechecking who at this point is capable of going through with it. The response reaffirmed my cause.

I catch a breath, and then attempt to persuade in the most polite manner possible:

"Kirigiri, Kedgeworth, would you mind if we stick together? As efficient as it is to cover more ground, I just see two problems with taking different paths.
One, both of you are heading towards a junkyard, which implicates an abundance of discarded items that can be used in the form of weaponry. Seeing as you’re sending us to a rose garden, I feel logistically the amount both of you have to gain from returning is obviously against the safety of Blake and me to continue.
Secondly, a pair off by themselves? Kirigiri, do you really feel safe with your back turned to a man that only earlier in the day was 'more than ready to graduate'? And Kedgeworth, alone except for a girl with unknown items and understands the modus operandi of Monobear? Our very captor mind you.

I hope you can see where I’m coming from with all of this."

I check my inventory and if I’m wielding anything.

Sticking to a group that I can't track at all seems a little more dangerous at this point in time. Perhaps a group without transparency is a pack of wolves, I can never be sure....

Interesting, seems I was much too late... Oh well, at least I feel safer away from everyone else, might as make the most of it...

I wield my knife, and then walk into the generator room to see if it's still powered.

((Sorry for OOC and editing, but hopefully you can forgive me just this once. It seems I have to leave for an extended period of time again today, wouldn't want my character vulnerable at night fall...))

Perhaps I can save this for another day, that is, if tomorrow comes.... This is getting a little risky. I've already ate a big lunch, hopefully that should hold me over until then...

I suddenly notice the approaching darkness outside behind me while putting my knife away, turn off my ability, and run out of the building and out of the junkyard, and down the path towards the dormitory area, not a care in the world if someone like Ozaki stops or sees me. I just tread on until I enter my room, lock the door and window behind me, and lay on my bed.

If... tomorrow comes, I... I just really hope it does...

I dreamt that I woke up from this nightmare. It's the oldest dream of all, and I've just had it... but the illusion is crushed by the hands of reality.

I'm.. awake...?

"Eh--Wha---what time is it?"

I take the covers off my eyes, and look to the window to reorient myself to the time and surroundings. The expensive scent of gourmet breakfast absent to greet my nose, and the small bed in a mess from my tossing and turning due to the inadequate size.

These colors unfamiliar. The decor hurts my eyes.... where... am I?

My memory returns at once, my body once again snatched by frustration as I let out an audible sigh while contorting to punch the bed. Lastly, I look around the room for all the items in my possession, unfortunately the only things I can trust.

You still have the briefcase, manga, pen, and paper in your room. ((If I forgot something, ask me about it.))

Well that was a short nap. It's still dark outside! I don't know how I'm exposed to get sleep if the bear keeps waking me up.

I hobble into the bathroom, and tend to personal hygiene matters etc for the night as I take my time to let the night go faster. Looking for other items in the bathroom, I browse through if there's anything that could be considered dangerous to put into my inventory.

After that, I then look at the bottom crack of the door if there's any hallway light still on, putting the pen and paper into my inventory.

I either graduate or I don't at this point... But I'm not going to be the victim.

There are some sharp razors in the bathroom, and there is a light on in the hallway.

((What kind of razor is it? Like a straight razor or safety shaving razor?))
>>7094
I put the razor in my inventory anyway, and leave the manga behind.

It seems I'll take the alternate route then. I wonder who forgot to lock up...

I unlock and open my window to let the night air in, and carefully walk out as I turn off my lights and close behind me as to not remain visible outside.

Turning on my shadow step ability again (after hopefully resting for some amount of time), I crouch down under my window, and head south towards Rudolf's room.

I place my hand on each window frame, shaking it forward or back to open, my body still crouched under as to not give my position away. I do this with each person's room until something budges, or until I reach the last room clockwise or if I notice someone a person outside, I'll stop immediately and reassess the situation.

I just want to go back home... this is ridiculous... a ridiculous dream that is...

I go back into my room, and lock the window behind me, lying on the bed while reading the manga on the floor as I doze off to sleep eventually.

That was weird, I need to stop sleepwalking... Yeah, sleepwalking, that's it.... What a weird manga.... I'd hate to be in their positions.

Monobear Theater

Monobear: "You know, I always try to do my best, but sometimes I just get distracted. It's really annoying when you're sitting there innocently, and all of a sudden a fly comes and interrupts your thoughts! And it happens again and again! It's almost like they want you to hit them! ...However, if I hit them, I question my morality. What makes it okay to kill bugs, but not people? Why is it okay to torture farm animals in factories to feed ourselves but feel great shame from watching those animal shelter commercials featuring dogs and cats? ...The ramifications of this double standard plague my thoughts too often."

((And so ends Day 1. That took way too long. I'll try and speed up the posting, but you guys better get killing each other soon. Or else we won't have anything to solve! However, you all did a good job exploring places. I look forward to a calmer playing speed... hopefully, less posts with more meaning, allowing the passage of in-game time to go faster. I've noticed that activity is at its highest from 7-12 and 16-20 board time, so perhaps you can plan ahead to post then. It's good to take a break from posting every now and then.))

Monobear: "Good morning, you bastards! It’s 7 in the morning! Time to wake up! Let’s all strive to do our best today!"

Damn bear, I want to sleep longer... killing a fly? Farm animals? Must be some crazy animal lover vegan locking us up, taking the form of a bear of course... Although, I’m a little sick of thinking about the motivation of why we’re here, just glad I'm alive.

I wake up somewhat refreshed, the nighttime episode somewhat fuzzy in my memory. Walking into the bathroom, I once again tend to my hygiene etc. When that is done, I take my bag and put the knife, razor, paper, and pen neatly tucked away inside of it, ready for whatever the rest of the day may bring.

I slowly open my door, and peek if anyone's already in the hallway, and close it behind me as I make my way towards the cafeteria for an early breakfast.

One by one, everyone else arrives, except for Drosselmeyer.

Rika "Mi-. Good morning. I wonder where Drosselmeyer is? ......I suppose I shouldn't be too paranoid about it. He could just be sleeping in. I guess we'll just have to see whether he arrives or not."

Rudolf: "Looks like we've got to go find Drosselmeyer. Hopefully nothing ill has befallen them."

Kedgeworth: "Anyone notice the lack of knives? Seems like someone's been busy."

Ozaki goes out the backdoor to investigate. He quickly returns saying that Drosselmeyer's room looks messed up and that he will be breaking in through the window.

I eat up the breakfast I made, and search for any item in the kitchen that may be able to break a window, like a pan, and follow Ozaki back outside to the outside of Drosselmeyer's room to see what's up.

"Dro-drooselmier?. I don't think I've heard or seen this person at all yesterday... at least I didn't notice him." I mumble out loud to myself as I head towards the room.

You go to the room and Ozaki cuts the window using a multitool, just enough to unlock it from the outside. Upon entering you find Drosselmeyer's corpse lying on the floor. The dresser drawers are all open and are empty. The table is on its side, and the pillows and blankets on the bed are in disarray. The bathroom's door is open; the curtain is open and the shower pointed toward the door. Most notable is an electric generator sitting in the center of the room plugged into an outlet.

"——Someone... it!.... someone actually went through with it..."

I try to calm myself from the shock the best I can, still unable to process the scene in front of me. The only way to continue, I attempt to detach myself as best as possible. My mind still racing.

Taking a closer look at the corpse, I try to figure out what exactly happened here by seeing if there's anything out of the ordinary on Drosselmeyer.

Suddenly the TV turns on, and you see Monobear on the screen.

"Attention, you bastards! A body has been discovered! Following a brief period of investigation, we will commence our camp trial!

Let me explain the supplementary rules regarding 'graduation'!! The fact that 'someone who kills another can graduate the school' remains unchanged, but... There is one more clause to that rule that must be checked, right? It’s no good just killing someone. You must hide what you’ve from everyone else! And so, the system to judge whether that was accomplished or not... ...is a 'camp trial' session we will enact a short time after a killing occurs! This 'camp trial' will commence a few hours after murder takes place! It will be a battle between the 'culprit' who committed murder... And the 'innocents' - the rest of you students!!

During trial, you will get a chance to debate 'who among us is the hidden killer' among yourselves. The result will be decided by vote, held at the end of the trial session. And then, if the answer you reach is the correct one... The culprit who disrupted public order will be 'punished', and the rest can go on living our camp’s communal lifestyle. On the other hand, if the wrong person is voted for as the culprit... The real culprit who committed the crime stays alive, but all the innocents will be 'punished'. If that happens, that will also be the end of our communal lifestyle, of course!

If I may speak bluntly... I’m talking about execution, of course! Execution means execution. Eh-kse-kyu-shon. Zap-zap in the electric chair! Choke-choke from poison gas! Maybe I’ll tear your body up in a hurricane storm! Judging people is a duty not to be taken lightly. Your very lives depend on it! Those are the rules of the 'camp trial'!!

Isn’t it time you start your investigation into who the culprit is? This is a file I’ve written, containing details about the body. It’s name is... ...The Monobear File!! It didn’t escape me that I’m dealing with a bunch of amateurs here and there’s a limit to what you can learn from examining the body... So instead, I gathered up technical details like the circumstances and cause of death for you. Isn’t that handy?! Aren’t you dying to know how I know the cause of death? I saw the whole thing happen through the surveillance cameras! I’m a first-hand witness!! Anyways, good luck with your investigation! It’s not like you have any choice! Well then, I’ll see you in a bit at the camp trial!"

MONOBEAR FILE: The victim is Drosselmeyer. The time of death was around 11:45 PM. The body was found in his room. Cause of death is a wound to the face made by a sharp object. Other than that, there are traces of damage to the head and right leg.

"So, anyone find any clues so far?

Perhaps everyone's location around the time of death might be a place to start." I address to anyone in the room, assuming the line of questioning didn't start yet.

Inspecting the body closer, I look at the type of "damage" to the leg and head, such as a cut or blunt object.

Hmm... I know the murder weapon isn't my knife, and I recall hearing that Rika and Mion confiscated a knife from Blake while back, but there may have been a multitude of sharp weapons in the kitchen or junkyard. Kinda hard to narrow down with everything I remember, but my life is on the line here.

I look around if there's anyone still in the room while continuing to investigate the generator, checking if it's still warm or has been turned on recently. Hopefully someone might of heard it at night...

"I was in my room around that time, dozing off and falling asleep while I was finishing the manga that was found in my box. What were you doing Kedgeworth?"

I check to see if the generator is powering anything, or if it's just sitting there. I also investigate the bathroom for any items out of place, and the entirety of the floor itself for visible shoe marks on the floor (mainly near the door since we're already walking inside the room) since a lot of us did walking that day along the path that could have been tracked inside our rooms.

((Should've deleted that one post; Kedgeworth left the room before you could respond.))

The generator is plugged in, but you see Kazuichi and Ozaki talking. Kazuichi unplugs the generator and the two of them discuss something. Ozaki then leaves the room, and Kazuichi checks the bathroom.

You do the same. The only odd thing in the bathroom is the angle of the shower head, tilted toward the door. Nothing else seems out of place.

Okay, it seems no one wants to talk. I wonder what he needs from his room though, a little suspicious when the investigation rests so much on our lives. The innocent's anyway.

I won't take feigned ignorance from my questioning as an answer, so I'll take matters into my own hands.

I walk back outside making my way slightly into the fauna outside (at least what I can discern from the map), hiding myself using my active ability while looking through Kaizuichi's window to monitor their activity.

Well, that was a fruitful investigation! It's time to share what I've... oh god my life is now in other people's hands. My only hope is that someone found something, I'm sure the trial part smooths itself over.

((No, you saw nothing unusual.))

You arrive at the crash site. The broken helicopter still sits where you last saw it, smashed to pieces into the ground. Looks like everyone else has arrived.

Monobear: "Upupu... Is everyone here? If that’s the case..."

Suddenly, you feel the floor below you rumble like an earthquake. The ground moves down, and once you're several feet underground, two metal plates close off the ceiling. You're in an elevator. The rough metallic sound of the elevator reverberates as you travel downward. As if to compliment the mood, the elevator kept tumbling on down and down. Finally, the elevator stops, and everyone goes through a single door...

Monobear: "Nyohoho! You’re finally here! Well, what do you think? Isn’t this just like a courtroom? The scenery is on par with a Hollywood movie, isn’t it? Well then, everyone - please take the seat with your name written on it. Hurry up! Hurry up!"

You do as Monobear says and go to your designated seat. The seats are arranged in a circle so that everyone is facing each other. You notice there are two extra seats with the names "Dark Kamijou" and "Wright" written on them, for a total of 14 seats.

Monobear: "Upupupu... Let's begin!"
