You wake up with a start. Those noisy cicadas must've done it, crying so loudly at this hour...
Where is this place? From what you can tell, you're inside a one-person camping tent. Oh, that's right, you decided to go to Camp Seacat after all...

But isn't it odd? You can't recall what happened once you got here.

In any case, there's no time to waste sitting around; a note found beside your sleeping bag tells you so:

"When you wake up, please meet your fellow campers at the waiting area outside your tent. We will begin the activities once everyone gathers, so please refrain from sleeping in!"

Well, what are you waiting for?

"Hello again. Took me a while to get done with my room. Does any of this belong to one of you? The sleeping bag is probably mine. I also found a knife, but that was promptly confiscated by two girls. Rika and Mion were their names, I think."

I show what I found in my room. (they're allowed to take anything 'cept the sleeping bag.)

"Also, you seem to be about to leave. Would you mind if I tagged along?"

Looks like my timing wasn't the best. Oh well, going to sleep now. If they do end up moving and aren't clearly against it, make me auto-follow them. If they don't want me in their group for some reason, I'll standby in the cafeteria.

((Alright. None of the three have posted at all. Today's been a slow day in general, though. I'll do as you said for now, but if you feel like you want to post more, it's better to run around on your own than sticking in groups.))

Kirigiri: "None of that would be mine, and I suppose you can tag along with us.."

It seems you all have been debating where to go for the past hour in silence.

During your time waiting, Ozaki and Rudolf just managed to enter the cafeteria through the main door. Ozaki ignores you all and heads out the back door.

((When you get online ask for an update and I'll edit this post.))

Kirigiri waits a few moments before following Ozaki out the back door, signaling for the rest of the guys to follow her.

It seems Ozaki is quite fast; you lose sight of him quickly. There is a split in the path. Up north appears to be a junkyard and west is a rose garden.

Kirigiri signals for Kedgeworth to follow her to the junkyard and for Blake and Lucas to go to the rose garden.

Kirigiri and Kedgeworth have already left, and it seems Lucas is hesitant to go to the rose garden.

((Of course it is up to you whether or not you go there...))

Holy damn, it's pretty much an invitation for creative murder methods.

I guess I'll try asking a question counting on the fact that whoever is staging this has an eye on us at all times.
"Hey Monobear. I know you can hear me. I'm kinda worried about what happens if someone goes a little too crazy and goes on a rampage? If you keep us locked up someone might even start a fire and burn the whole forest or a building down. I know you're probably sadistic enough to be fine with that, but it'd be no... 'murder mystery' but simple mass slaughter."

While I shout that I check the door for a lock and the window.

After hearing you call his name, Monobear appears before you.

"Yo! Well, I considered that as well. A forest fire would be the most lethal way to kill in this place. ...Hmm, you know that rule about damaging the cameras? Maybe I should add one to protect the wildlife as well. Yes, that's it!"

New Rule: Anyone found to be destroying trees or other local flora will be severely punished! Non-destructive modification is allowed.

"I hope that clears the situation up for you bastards. As for the buildings, they're fireproof. Trust me on this one. Because I'm a bear."

"Fair enough."

I knew he wouldn't pass up on watching us at all times. So that's that. Still, I wonder if I can do something about all these dangerous things here, so I'll still proceed to check the door to the shed as well as the window for how exactly they work.
>> No. 277 edit

Monobear disappears just as Kedgeworth comes to check out the shed as well. He skims the area before heading to the gazebo.

The door has two parts. The right half can be opened by turning a handle. The left part has a latch to keep the right half attached, in addition to a series of chains on the inside to keep itself in place. Opening the left half can be done by pulling the chains apart from the top and bottom of the door, to release it from its place.

The window is in the back of the shed and operates using a latch, accessible from both sides. However, the window is above the door in height. The inside of the shed contains a small ledge to get up to the window. There is also enough room for a person to hide up in the top part of the shed.

Does the door open towards the inside or outside?
Is the handle on both sides of the right half?
Does the left side have a handle as well?

Both sides of the door open to the outside.
There is only a handle on the left side of the right door.
The left side does not have a handle -- in its place is a latch which goes over the right door.

Heh, damn. What an inconvenient door. I can think of a method to sorta block access, but it'd cost me my rope. Besides, some people probably haven't checked this place out yet and may just try to bruteforce their way in for innocent reasons. And if they have a knife it's easy. The only advantage would be that I'd definitely know if someone has been in here after me.
...
It's pointless at the moment. Looks like it's getting darker. I should head back soon.

Monobear Theater

Monobear: "You know, I always try to do my best, but sometimes I just get distracted. It's really annoying when you're sitting there innocently, and all of a sudden a fly comes and interrupts your thoughts! And it happens again and again! It's almost like they want you to hit them! ...However, if I hit them, I question my morality. What makes it okay to kill bugs, but not people? Why is it okay to torture farm animals in factories to feed ourselves but feel great shame from watching those animal shelter commercials featuring dogs and cats? ...The ramifications of this double standard plague my thoughts too often."

((And so ends Day 1. That took way too long. I'll try and speed up the posting, but you guys better get killing each other soon. Or else we won't have anything to solve! However, you all did a good job exploring places. I look forward to a calmer playing speed... hopefully, less posts with more meaning, allowing the passage of in-game time to go faster. Suddenly the TV turns on, and you see Monobear on the screen.

"Attention, you bastards! A body has been discovered! Following a brief period of investigation, we will commence our camp trial!

Let me explain the supplementary rules regarding 'graduation'!! The fact that 'someone who kills another can graduate the school' remains unchanged, but... There is one more clause to that rule that must be checked, right? It’s no good just killing someone. You must hide what you’ve from everyone else! And so, the system to judge whether that was accomplished or not... ...is a 'camp trial' session we will enact a short time after a killing occurs! This 'camp trial' will commence a few hours after murder takes place! It will be a battle between the 'culprit' who committed murder... And the 'innocents' - the rest of you students!!

During trial, you will get a chance to debate 'who among us is the hidden killer' among yourselves. The result will be decided by vote, held at the end of the trial session. And then, if the answer you reach is the correct one... The culprit who disrupted public order will be 'punished', and the rest can go on living our camp’s communal lifestyle. On the other hand, if the wrong person is voted for as the culprit... The real culprit who committed the crime stays alive, but all the innocents will be 'punished'. If that happens, that will also be the end of our communal lifestyle, of course!

If I may speak bluntly... I’m talking about execution, of course! Execution means execution. Eh-kse-kyu-shon. Zap-zap in the electric chair! Choke-choke from poison gas! Maybe I’ll tear your body up in a hurricane storm! Judging people is a duty not to be taken lightly. Your very lives depend on it! Those are the rules of the 'camp trial'!!

Isn’t it time you start your investigation into who the culprit is? This is a file I’ve written, containing details about the body. It’s name is... ...The Monobear File!! It didn’t escape me that I’m dealing with a bunch of amateurs here and there’s a limit to what you can learn from examining the body... So instead, I gathered up technical details like the circumstances and cause of death for you. Isn’t that handy?! Aren’t you dying to know how I know the cause of death? I saw the whole thing happen through the surveillance cameras! I’m a first-hand witness!! Anyways, good luck with your investigation! It’s not like you have any choice! Well then, I’ll see you in a bit at the camp trial!"

MONOBEAR FILE: The victim is Drosselmeyer. The time of death was around 11:45 PM. The body was found in his room. Cause of death is a wound to the face made by a sharp object. Other than that, there are traces of damage to the head and right leg.

For purposes of investigation, it seems Monobear has disabled the door's lock. You go inside, following the others.

Upon entering you find Drosselmeyer's corpse lying on the floor. The dresser drawers are all open and are empty. The table is on its side, and the pillows and blankets on the bed are in disarray. The bathroom's door is open; the curtain is open and the shower pointed toward the door. Most notable is an electric generator sitting in the center of the room plugged into an outlet.

I look who's actually here in thos room.

"...Looks like they fought. Did anyone find something interesting here already? We should investigate thoroughly... now that our lives depend on it."

There's no time to waste.
I take a closer look at the corpse. The Monokuma file gave some info, but it's never wrong to make sure it actually matches up.
I see if there's blood on the ground, or marks, or anything indicating the corpse may have been moved here after death. In fact, see if there's anything else on the ground. Also, the corpse's actual position in the room. Might matter a little to get what exactly happened here.

Then I take a look at the window.

Philip, Ozaki, Lucas, and Kazuichi are in the room.

The corpse is lying down on his back on the floor of the room. His head is near the foot of the bed. As the Monobear file said, there are two wounds created by a sharp object on his head, and a cut on his right leg. Items found on his body are a flashlight and canned food.

Both windows in his room are intact. There is a small exception; a small piece of glass Ozaki cut out of the window in order to enter the room.

There is no blood on the ground or near the corpse. There are small traces of dirt on the carpet, however.

You arrive at the crash site. The broken helicopter still sits where you last saw it, smashed to pieces into the ground. Looks like everyone else has arrived.

Monobear: "Upupu... Is everyone here? If that’s the case..."

Suddenly, you feel the floor below you rumble like an earthquake. The ground moves down, and once you're several feet underground, two metal plates close off the ceiling. You're in an elevator. The rough metallic sound of the elevator reverberates as you travel downward. As if to compliment the mood, the elevator kept tumbling on down and down. Finally, the elevator stops, and everyone goes through a single door...

Monobear: "Nyohoho! You’re finally here! Well, what do you think? Isn’t this just like a courtroom? The scenery is on par with a Hollywood movie, isn’t it? Well then, everyone - please take the seat with your name written on it. Hurry up! Hurry up!"

You do as Monobear says and go to your designated seat. The seats are arranged in a circle so that everyone is facing each other. You notice there are two extra seats with the names "Dark Kamijou" and "Wright" written on them, for a total of 14 seats.

Monobear: "Upupupu... Let's begin!"
