It's time, isn't it? This letter gives me everything I need.. Go to the camping area. Simple enough, but I can't shake this odd feeling...have I been here before? No...I haven't, obviously.. I can't ponder for too long, I must get going, my objective is ahead.

And so, Kirigiri nods to herself and crumbles the note in her palm and holds it there for the time being. Walking out of her tent, she walks over to what she believes to be the waiting area. It is time for this life of mystery begin then..

You step outside through the bright sunlight into an area enclosed by trees. Nearby is a sign which reads "Watch out for bears!"

It seems the following people have already arrived:

*19 year-old girl with long blue hair
*23 year-old man with pointy red hair

You should introduce yourself before the activities begin!

I remain silent as I walk on to the supposed waiting area, on my way there.. T-That man's red hair?! It looks like he could kill someone with it, as much as I don't want to stare. Even so, although most would find it shocking, I can't help but stare at the man's hair for a few moments as I walk beside him to the waiting area.. I hope he doesn't notice..
And so, Kirigiri proceeds on to the waiting area. As she does so, she seems to be walking next to the man with pointy red hair. She can't help but observe it for a few more moments than she should. Likely he would notice it, but Kirigiri tries to play it off as she walks on.

I was facing a group of other campers by the time I knew it as well.. I didn't want to talk much as it was, I can't find any of my stuff in this backpack either. This isn't going to be good..

Suddenly the wind picks up and it feels as if you are being pushed off the ground by an earthquake. The sounds of several booms reverberate through the air, and upon turning around you can see that all of the tents are being blown apart by missiles! Small dents in the ground have taken their place. Surely anyone who was still sleeping would have been destroyed...

Looking above, you spot a giant helicopter patrolling the area. It's coming closer...! The helicopter dives downward, brushing near the ground past everyone, only to fly back up.

It turns around and again flies downward at high speed, this time crashing into the "Watch out for bears!" sign.

Looks like it made a small crater... Who's gonna go check it out?

It looked dangerous to go investigate, but.. I have a strong urge to do so. I walk towards the crater and signal for at least someone to follow me there to be safe..

"Come, follow me.."
Kirigiri carefully walks over to the crater and peers into it, to see what happened to the likely wrecked helicopter and whoever was inside..

The bear looks around a few times, scratching its head at the unresponsive crowd.

"What are you bastards staring at?! You act like you've never seen a talking bear before! ...Anyway, I should introduce myself. I'm Monobear, your camp leader! Nice to meet you!"

Monobear walks back to his half-destroyed helicopter, apparently looking for something.

"Now then, there are some important rules you bastards need to follow. Take a look for yourselves!"

He returns with a signpost and bulletin board, which he plants firmly into the ground. Monobear looks at the bulletin board, reading off the list of rules one by one:

1. The campers will live a communal lifestyle with no time limit inside the campground's walls.
2. The time between 10 PM and 7 AM is called “Night Time”. During Night Time there are places that are forbidden to enter, so please take care.
3. Sleeping is only permitted in the personal rooms prepared for you in the dormitory area. Anyone intentionally falling asleep elsewhere will be punished.
4. You may investigate the campground as you please. There are no special restrictions on your actions.
5. No violence is permitted against the camp leader, Monobear. Destruction of the surveillance cameras is forbidden.
6. A “culprit” who kills a fellow camper will graduate the camp. However, they must not let any other camper know they are the culprit.
7. Additional rules may be added by Monobear at any time.

Monobear: "Oh, look at the time, it's 10:00 AM! I'm a busy bear, so I must be on my way -- but one last thing! There's a special movie I want you all to see, so take a good look above! See you bastards later!"

Everyone turns their attention to the gigantic TV screens popping out of the ground, taller than even the trees... And just like that, Monobear disappeared into the forest.

The real game begins now. Who can you trust? Who will become a murderer? Will everyone live with hope or fall into despair?

You overhear the group's conversations for the next 30 minutes:

Rika: "Ah, now that you mention it, I think I did bring a pen and paper. I'll take those if you don't mind."

Rika scribbles the names of each item down on the paper.

Rika: "...Also, I'd like to point something out to anyone who's thinking of going off on their own. According to that bear's rules, a culprit can only leave if nobody realises that they are the culprit. ...In other words, they have to kill with no witnesses. Therefore, staying in a large group essentially makes it impossible for the culprit to act, because assaulting any member of the group will immediately alert the rest of us. Basically, the more you isolate yourself, the more you make yourself into a potential victim. Just saying~"

Rika then enters her room.

Kedgeworth: ""Apparently that isn't what some people think, Rika. Even though it's probably the most efficient way to not let anyone die. I don't really think there's any need to follow a specific order in checking rooms and that might prove to be difficult in the first place. It's not like the rooms are really far apart. So I'd rather check mine with the rest of you now so that I don't get suspected of hiding anything."

Kedge then leads the investigation to his own room.

Rudolf: "I assume I can leave you guys to making the inventory then? I'm starving and think I'd like to go to the cafeteria before they close tonight." He goes to the cafeteria.

Kedgeworth: "*sigh* Well, looks like I don't even have a pen to defend myself with. But here you go. I'm off to the cafeteria as well. Anyone's welcome to join."

It's about something that Mion-chan heard you say back before any of this started. She told me that you said something about the bears here being cute. ...Would you mind explaining what you meant by that statement? I really want to trust you, but I can't help but see that as slightly suspicious given that weird bear that appeared shortly afterwards. Furthermore, I haven't heard you speak a word this entire time. You have to admit that your actions are a little strange in this situation. Please, would you mind explaining yourself to us? We shouldn't hide anything from each other; it will only cause suspicion that will hurt the whole group later. If you did know something about that bear before the rest of us saw it, then I think we have a right to hear about it."

Lucas: "The first aid kit is mine, Rika. And... I think you're being a little paranoid. There was a sign clear as day saying watch out for bears. I think a lot of us wouldn't open our mouths given the traumatic situation we're in either. We're all just hungry right about now."

Rika: "But you see, Lucas-san, the sign is part of what makes it so suspicious. The sign told us to watch out for bears. That would normally give the impression that the bears are dangerous and scary. To respond to that by describing the bears as "cute" is definitely strange, and it becomes especially suspicious when one considers the design of that bear toy that talked to us.

Furthermore...The sign on its own isn't sufficient justification for Victoria's statement. If she had said something like 'Oh, there are bears here? I bet they're really cute!', that would be understandable. But that's not what she said, not according to Mion-chan anyway. She said that "the bears are very cute". That definitely implies that she had actually seen these bears. You have to admit that her statement can hardly be considered normal.

...Don't get me wrong. I don't think that Victoria is necessarily untrustworthy. After all, if she really was in on this somehow, then she wouldn't have made such an obvious slip-up. But based on the evidence, it definitely seems likely that she does know something about this. I'm just asking her to tell us what she knows."

Lucas: "My take, eh? I'm still as clueless as you are to be frank. This whole day has felt like a dream, but the more I think of it that way the more I realize our lives are actually in danger if I don't take precautions.

I mean those walls... Do you think that's something a normal studio production could have made? And those explosions... Didn't you feel the force of it? I'm pretty sure there were more campers in there... Or at least there were more tents than the one's that people came out of.

It just doesn't add up, whatever is behind this. Do you think our governments have forsaken us? Or worse... are running some sort of experiment? That's why if I manage to get out of here, I'm fleeing the country as soon as possible away from whatever disgusting atrocity is being set up. I feel lives have already been thrown away as expendables for nothing.

I'm going to be completely honest with you here. I read a lot. And this kind of thing's become quite common in my head. And I tend to get carried away at times so when I woke up and heard about the rules, I was more than ready to 'graduate' But now I've come to my senses.
It's alright to think like that. I mean come on, I doubt many of us were expecting something like this and we're all pretty shook up. People have already started distrusting each other and that isn't a good sign. I don't see why they haven't thought of the obvious 'sticking together' strategy or if they have, why they feel like ignoring it.

You are greeted by a long hallway with poor lighting. Cold, metallic walls and floor surround you. There are several small dumpsters scattered about the hall as well, emitting a putrid, almost burnt odor as you walk by.

...Your passive skill allows you to hear Ozaki's footsteps as a door slams shut. It seems he is in the generator room.

Breathing slowly, Kirigiri walks as carefully as possible down the corridor until she reaches the end of it. She then hides behind the wall and peers to the side so she may see the door to the generator, and where Ozaki would exit possibly. She signals to Kedgeworth to be quiet and watch the exit as she spies on the door to the generator room.

Mion: "Oh hi, I'm sorry I was looking for Ozaki. Have you seen him?"

Kedgeworth: "Long story short, we met up with Mion and Victoria who told us about a statue they found that looked like it had something to do with Ozaki. Then we met up with Ozaki and the statue was brought up. He then told us that the statue was about a person named Kinjo. And that was about it. We then decided to come check up on you two."

Lucas: "Interesting, not sure of what to make of it. I've been standing right here the whole time so you all didn't miss much. You guys go up on ahead, I'm gonna go back the junkyard to see if there's anything else of interest."

Blake: "A mysterious statue? Looks like that junkyard turned out more interesting than what I'd have thought. Anyway, I'll go check that rose garden now. Should be more pleasant at least optically."

It seems this group is splitting up. Kedgeworth also goes to the rose garden, leaving you alone.

Suddenly all the TVs nearby turn on, displaying a picture of Monobear.

"Hello, everyone! One of you bastards asked me about setting fire to the forest, so I added a new rule:

New Rule: Anyone found to be destroying trees or other local flora will be severely punished! Non-destructive modification is allowed.

I hope that clears the situation up for you bastards. As for the buildings, they're fireproof. Trust me on this one. Because I'm a bear. And remember, only YOU BASTARDS can prevent forest fires!"
