Irie takes you into the basement. You notice a stockpile of weapons, some just thrown about on the floor, many hanging on the walls. Everything from smoke grenades to tasers (why are they all nonlethal?)

You see through one of the windows into a room over and see that there is a large assortment of testing devices. It also looks like there is a huge rack of just containers upon containers of blood.

"Ah, you noticed. It's probably important now that I tell you anyways." Irie says. "You see, I've been researching this epidemic called Hinamizawa syndrome. Getting blood of all the townspeople isn't hard when you're the local physician. As for the weapons, well, let's just say the people funding the research are rather involved in the study. One cannot be too careful around these people. They're certainly a dangerous type. I wouldn't be surprised if they were to try to simply kill everyone involved if the project failed. That's why I have to succeed at it. As long as the research is conclusive and to their liking, everything will be alright."

When compared to H2S it is. At least you can deal with SO2.

In any case if you didn't get my text, I do plan to give them the key back eventually but the matter which I do it will be of two options.
Either the one I already mentioned via slipping into crack of the door, or if they break down the basement door I'll place it and have one of the other people find it.

Hmm or better yet. I could stop the conflict between the kids and Izanami, and force him out of the room. While I physically force him out I can slip the key into his pocket, since he won't notice if I am pushing him out so roughly.

Then after a while I'll bring up the topic what if someone is holding the key on their person. So we can get all the NPC's and then the players to empty their pockets, which Izanami will then find.

I think I will have to wait for you to actually be online though, since you seem to have disappeared again.

Yeah pretty much. I wouldn't doubt if one of the other players really is a bad guy.

It would also be funny if both deaths were accidents.

There was an accident in the basement... if you catch my drift.

With that, she swipes the keycard into the scanner for the basement and you two go down there. Once there she is surprised to see Irie laying on the ground.

[green] I suddenly change from my normal tone to one which is cold and rational. [/green]

"When we came down here he tested one of weapons and idiotically got sapped himself. I sneaked out and faked my victimization in order for those nosy detectives or anyone else not to question his death or to suspect me as you are now doing.

"Hinamizawa syndrome, of course. Didn't Dr. Irie explain this to you when you started working here? Eh, you probably just forgot. With this weapon being successful, we probably don't have anything to fear anymore. We simply input the blood sample in, wait a few days for the machine to grow the culture, and it'll succeed. I had a hunch Keichi would be the one to give the best blood samples.

Anyway, it'll probably do best to test the weapon. These blasted so-called detectives would make good targets. The previous culture isn't perfected, but I'd imagine it'd be more than enough to kill someone."

She takes one of the cartridges and puts it in the machine. You see it begin to fill with some odd red liquid.

I go get another one of the stun guns laying around, since there is sure to be many due to the fact you used "tasers" rather than "taser" in the OP post. I also ready my own inside of my pocket in case she attacks.

Once I enter the hallway I'll make sure the doors on both rooms are still locked and that I am the only one not in room 103 and the office. I'll then unlock all the rooms besides that.

I then enter the bathroom cautiously and survey it. After I determine its fine in there I put on the gas mask and throw the smoke grenade in the bathtub. I test to see if the mask works.

Whether or not it does I then leave the bathroom and take off the mask, while closing the door right away to stop the smoke from coming into the hall.

Then I unlock the rooms which people are currently not stuck in and also try to remove the basement door from the hinges or at least make it look damaged in order to create an illusion. If I can't I will prop it open.

After all this is done successfully I'll call out in front of 103 to talk to the kids:

"Hey, it doesn't seem to safe out here so you guys can stay in there until the smoke goes away alright?" If I don't hear a response I'll unlock the door and let the detectives investigate that too.

Then I will move to Irei's office and post in the main thread:

""Hey Detectives, pretty sure the culprit is dead now so I am going to let you out. I still don't trust you however so I will station myself in the lobby of the clinic where Takano's desk is. If anybody tries to come into the lobby they will be shot instantly which will result in and instant death. I have also unlocked most of the doors for you. Have fun."

[green] I then take the chair as quick as possible and run to the lobby where I position myself as far from the entrance to the lobby from the hallway as possible. I raise my gun and prepare to shoot anyone who comes near. [/green]"

-

If the gas mask works I will make sure that they cannot see it if they try to talk to me or look into the lobby. I'll also take a look outside to see if the gas levels have changed at all.

I guess because to fit the time of the other people my big plan hasn't happened yet, so I'll move testing the gas mask to right now as I should have everything done which I planned to do in the basement.

I use one of the smoke grenades and put on the gas mask. If it doesn't work then I'll escape out from the basement to the lobby and continue with my plan now that the detectives are free. ie yelling at them what I planned to yell.
